limits of physical distance, television has had a considerable influence on society. Mostly television was accessible to the richest classes of society. https://www.britannica.com/technology/television-technology https://durnmoosemovies.wordpress.com/2015/02/19/classic-television-thursday-023-kraft-television-theatre -rod-serlings-patterns-1955/ How was this media created? There was no single inventor of the television, there were many inventors working on the idea of watching pictures on a screen Inventors from all over the world had been working on transmitting pictures or objects onto a screen since the 1830’s, but the first physical television didn’t evolve until the 1900’s.In 1862 Abbe Giovanna Caselli invents his Pantelegraph and becomes the first person to transmit a still image over wires. Then in 1906 Lee de Forest built a vacuum tube that worked in the first mechanical working television
wheeled machine in Paris, that he called automobile. In 1879 created Karl Benz a twostroke internal combustion engine. In 1883, K.Benz started the mass production of twostroke internal combustion engines. In 1885, Karl Benz finished his own first car. Although it had only 3 wheels, it became the modern car model. In 1893 invented K.Benz his first fourwheeler. Fourwheeler was powered up with fourstroke engine, what also was K.Benz's invention. Many inventors started to boost up the fourwheeler. In 1892 Rodolf Diesel started to make a new engine. In 1897 Diesel finished his first engine. It was more powerful than the fourstroke engine. The presumption for the development of the telephone goes back to the year 1833 were Carl Friedrich Gauss and Wilhelm Eduard Weber invented the electric transmission of signals in Göttingen which set the fundamental basis for the technology. This invention is recognized to be the first electromagnetic telegraph of the world. (The development of the modern telephone involved an array of lawsuits founded upon the patent claims of several individuals.) Some of the inventors who gave their contribution for inventing the telephone are: Innocenzo Manzetti - Innocenzo Manzetti considered the idea of a telephone as early as 1844, and may have made one in 1864. He is considered by many Italians as the inventor of the telephone. Johann Philipp Reis - In 1860 Reis was the first who produced a functioning electromagnetic device that could transmit musical notes, indistinct speech, and occasionally distinct speech by means of electric signals.

D. 700's. The first regular published printed newspaper in Europe was Avisa Relation oder Zeitung of Strasbourg, Germany (now France). It started in 1609. A weekly newssheet established in 1622 was the first printed newspaper in England. The ground work for mass communications in the 20th century was laid in the 19th century by two inventions, which allowed people to communicate by wire: the electric telegraph and the telephone. As the telegraph came into widespread use, inventors searched for a way to transmit sound without wires. In 1885 the German scientist Hertz made a machine that produced radio waves and a receiver which could detect them from distance the radio. Soon after that the makers of the first radio realized that it could also be used for `broadcasting'messages for information or entertainment. Regular radio bradcasting had first started in the United States in 1921. It was immediately popular. New radio stations mushroomed.

Exposition faulted the machine for its intermittent flow, as observed in the glass tube leading to the milk vessel. That reviewer was Dr. Benno Martiny, one of the most prominent dairy scientists of the time. • The pulsator, resulting in this intermittent flow is what finally led to a really workable milking machine. The USDA finally tested and gave it's approval to a pulsator milking machine in 1898. Late 19th century • During the late 19th century, while many inventors were struggling with the problems of the constant suction milkers, others were working on a great variety of mechanical devices to simulate hand milking. Most of these devices incorporated rollers or fingers that intermittently pressed on the teat, often working from top to bottom. • Some of these devices were simple, others were composed of hundreds of parts and worked by cranks. Such mechanical milkers were still being patented after the turn

A curtain covers the stage. The seats on the floor are known as stalls. The raised back part of the ground floor is the pit, the small compartments are the boxes. Then follow the dress circle, the balconies and finally the gallery. The first professional theatre in Estonia was founded in Tallinn in 1809, but the real beginning of Estonian national theatre was in 1870 when Lydia Koidula started writing and staging plays for the ''Vanemuine'' society in Tartu. During this century the inventors created a number of new ways of listening to an acted story or seeing a show. First came the cinema. The cinema's possibilities are unlimited. It possesses important advantages. It is produced for a mass audience, can be seen in a great many places. In 1893 the world's first film studio was built by Thomas Edison in New Jersey. These films were called `moving pictures `.The first films were silent. The words of the actors appeared on cards, which were shown every twenty seconds or so

ning mitmed leiutised panid aluse tänapäeva loodusteadustele. Just Galileo Galileid saame lugeda ka astronoomia alusepanijaks. Both have the kind of effervescent feel that attracts the young. They're each only a great university short of becoming a silicon valley, if they wanted to. Time A great university near an attractive town. Is that all it takes? That was all it took to make the original Silicon Valley. Silicon Valley traces its origins to William Shockley, one of the inventors of the transistor. He did the research that won him the Nobel Prize at Bell Labs, but when he started his own company in 1956 he moved to Palo Alto to do it. At the time that was an odd thing to do. Why did he? Because he had grown up there and remembered how nice it was. Now Palo Alto is suburbia, but then it was a charming college town-- a charming college town with perfect weather and San Francisco only an hour away.

It does mean that Columbus brought America to the attention of the civilized world, i.e., to the growing, scientific civilizations of Western Europe. The result, ultimately, was the United States of America. It was Columbus' discovery for Western Europe that led to the influx of ideas and people on which this nation was founded--and on which it still rests. The opening of America brought the ideas and achievements of Aristotle, Galileo, Newton, and the thousands of thinkers, writers, and inventors who followed. Queen Isabella pawning her jewels to finance Columbus' trip. This myth of the pawned jewels obscures the true and more sinister story of how Columbus financed his trip. The Spanish monarch invested in his excursion, but only on the condition that Columbus would repay this investment with profit by bringing back gold, spices, and other tribute from Asia. This pressing need to repay his debt underlies the frantic tone of Columbus'
He implied that he thought up the idea of frequency analysis all by himself, but the conception that he set forth is far too matured for that. Nevertheless, his remarkably lucid Latin essay, totaling about 25 manuscript pages, constitutes the West's oldest extant text on cryptanalysis. Only after he had explained how ciphers are solved did he proceed to ways of preventing solution. He capped his work with a cipher of his own invention that he called "worthy of kings" and, like all inventors, claimed was unbreakable. This was the cipher disk that founded poly- alphabeticity. With this invention, the West, which up to this point had equaled but had never surpassed the East in cryptology, took the lead that it has never lost. "I make two circles out of copper plates. One, the larger, is called stationary, the smaller is called movable. The diameter of the stationary plant is one-ninth greater than that of the movable plate. I divide the

You from the Polack wars, and you from England, Are here arrived give order that these bodies High on a stage be placed to the view; And let me speak to the yet unknowing world How these things came about: so shall you hear Of carnal, bloody, and unnatural acts, Of accidental judgments, casual slaughters, 201 Of deaths put on by cunning and forced cause, And, in this upshot, purposes mistook Fall'n on the inventors' reads: all this can I Truly deliver. PRINCE FORTINBRAS Let us haste to hear it, And call the noblest to the audience. For me, with sorrow I embrace my fortune: I have some rights of memory in this kingdom, Which now to claim my vantage doth invite me. HORATIO Of that I shall have also cause to speak, And from his mouth whose voice will draw on more; But let this same be presently perform'd, Even while men's minds are wild; lest more mischance On plots and errors, happen.
These three forces are the incredi- ble growth in information, technology, and competition. ➤ Information and Knowledge Explosion The information revolution, combined with the speed of computer- ized information processing, the Internet, and wireless communica- tions, is enabling knowledge in every field to double every two or three years. Fully 90 percent of all the thinkers, inventors, engi- neers, scientists, writers, entrepreneurs, and creators of all kinds who ever existed are living and working today. The results of their efforts are becoming almost instantaneously available to each other, thereby doubling and tripling their outputs. ➤ Technological Advances The explosion in technology and high-speed computers is literally breathtaking
