Competitive rhythmic gymnastics began in the 1940s in the Soviet Union. The FIG formally recognized this discipline in 1961, first as modern gymnastics, then as rhythmic sportive gymnastics, and finally as rhythmic gymnastics. The first World Championships for individual rhythmic gymnasts was held in 1963 in Budapest. Rhythmic gymnastics was added to the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, with an individual all-around competition. However, many federations from the Eastern European countries were forced to boycott by the Soviet Union. Canadian Lori Fung was the first rhythmic gymnast to earn an Olympic gold medal. The group competition was added to the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. Olympic rhythmic gymnastics is typically restricted to female participants, although

my family. My brother has been played basketball already four years and my mom do aerobics. Only my father, do not go to training. My family has practiced many different sports. My brother started with basketball four years ago and he is still playing. My mother played basketball too but it was years ago and she has been in athletics too. My father played volleyball and he have been cycling. In my class the most popular sports are dancing, badminton and basketball. I started with gymnastics when I was six years old. I'm still in gymnastics. I haven't been into any other sports. I think its necessary to do sports because it's good for you health. But sometimes it might be bad for your health.

in. But subjects, where you could make your wrong decisions to work for you, are in the bottom and most of the teachers, don’t care about them that much. Subjects like art, singing, dancing and so on. There’s still one thing that I don’t agree with Ken. He says that there’s no school, where kid could study arts as much as math. In Estonia, we have schools where are classes specialized of some certain subjects like folk dances, gymnastics, different languages, art and so on. Still it isn’t like that in every school, even not in every class in this certain school. Ken admits, that right now we are tought to be university proffessors. I must agree with him, cause if we’re not taught to be proffessors then doctors or lawyers. But there’s so many different specialitiesthat needs to be filled. Many of them are the ones most of us don’t want to work with. Not because they don’t like them, but because the others stigmatize it

Before his inauguration, President Obama published an open letter to his daughters in Parade magazine, describing what he wants for them and every child in America: "to grow up in a world with no limits on your dreams and no achievements beyond your reach, and to grow into compassionate, committed women who will help build that world. While living in Chicago, the Obamas kept busy schedules, as the Associated Press reports: "soccer, dance and drama for Malia, gymnastics and tap for Sasha, piano and tennis for both." In July 2008, the family gave an interview to the television series Access Hollywood. Obama later said they regretted allowing the children to be included. Malia and Sasha attend the private Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC, the same school as attended by Chelsea Clinton, Tricia Nixon Cox, and Archibald Roosevelt, and currently the grandchildren of Vice President Joe Biden. The Obama girls began classes there on January 5, 2009
Be active Figure out which activities you like best. Not everyone loves baseball or soccer. Maybe your passion is karate, or kickball, or dancing. Find ways to be active every day. You might think of going to your doctor as something you do only when you're sick or maybe once a year for a checkup, but your body works hard when you run fast, kick, throw, swim, and tumble. That's why a sports physical is important, especially when you're just starting to swim competitively, do gymnastics, or play a team sport, such as soccer, baseball, football, or basketball. 10. Conclusion There is nothing more important than good health, money can't buy it. No-one can think of being healthy as doing all the things you don't like that is not right! Staying healthy could be fun and good too, if you only know how to. 11. Used materials "A-Z Encyclopedia" The Kingfisher Materials on sheets
Sport is an essential part of my daily life. Every morning all the year round I do my morning exercises. Almost every day I do some training. In summer I go swimming or rowing. During my summer holidays I go on hikes. I usually spend my winter holidays in the country where I ski, skate or toboggan. I also go in for track-and-field (athletics) events. Different sports and games are popular with my classmates. All my friends go in for different kinds of sport, such as water polo, gymnastics, horse-racing, wrestling, fencing, weightlifting, boxing, ice-hockey, speed- skating, figure-skating, football, basket-ball, volley-ball, etc. We have fine teams at our school and different kinds of competitions take place there. The boys of my school are crazy about football, they play football and the girls are football fans. The girls never miss a single match played by school teams. And now a few words about our physical training lessons. In winter our physical
others were able to replicate. Here are a few worth considering: IT'S NOT WHEN YOU PUT IT IN YOUR MOUTH THAT COUNTS. IT'S WHEN IT GETS TO THE CELLS. Food doesn't move to the bloodstream nearly as quickly as I thought. When I rst implanted the SEVEN sensor, I was as giddy as a 10-year-old birthday girl and compulsively checked the values every ve minutes during meals. I ended up misattributing all over the place. My blood glucose hit 200 during sex, and I thought it was the horizontal gymnastics that caused it, not taking into account the enormous sushi plate I ate two and a half hours earlier. It was probably 80%+ due to the latter. It turned out that food and liquids took much, much longer to get to my bloodstream than one would expect. In most cases, I peaked one and a half to two and a half hours after food consumption, even with yogurt. Orange juice peaked 40 minutes after drinking. This has profound implications and made the entire experiment worth the hassle.
