The programme I'm most fond of is Supernatural. It's a Canadian based American TV-show. It's pretty amazing as it's about to start it's 9th season. I love it because it used to be very scary and now as I have grown older, so has the show. The show is about two brothers who drive around the continental USA. They hunt supernatural beings, such as ghosts, vampires, demons, etc. I think it would be boring if it still did the same

So, the British ports are ice-free and its rivers are not frozen throughout the year. The weather on the British Isles has a bad reputation. It is very changeable and fickle. The British say that there is a climate in other countries, but we have just weather. If you don't like the weather in England, just wait a few minutes. It rains very often in all seasons in Great Britain. Autumn and winter are the wettest. The sky is usually grey and cold winds blow. On the average, Britain has more than 200 rainy days a year

Pushkin by heart does not work wonders with one's speaking skills, really. (Although I still can recite one of his poems...) The point is, I actually really like Russian. I've never been good at it, but I like the language and I really wish I knew it better. I can speak some, but not read much. As soon as the characters stop talking to each other, I'm stuck and can barely understand anything. Most of my Russian skills my ten years younger mates envy come from my year of living in Narva (literally starve or learn!) and talking to a variety of Estonian-Russian roleplayers I know. (But since they are also fluent in English and most in Estonian as well, it turns into a stew of languages very soon.) Chronologically the second language I started to learn was French. That was because of the Descartes Lyceum. Don't remember much of that, except for half a dozen badly spelt childrens' songs

They live in my hometown Rapla, where I have finished high school. I was my class best graduate. After my high school I came to Tallinn. Now I am the student of Tallinn College of Tallinn University of Technology. I am very responsible, hard working and I have always enjoyed new challenges. They are teaching to be better competitive. As well as people can not speak along with state public topics and express their opinion. Therefore freedom of speech is debateable. Already from the old times Estonians have been fighting for their own freedom, because they do not like to allow to another country or state, foreign public and foreign language. Estonian public have been fighting with German, Russian and a lot of other states. Estonians has strongly tried to keep alive their own nationality, independent that Estonia is a very small state in comparison with other states. Thanks to the Tartu peace treaty, liberty war, finally public achieved to their state a freedom. Republic gives to people feeling that they are free inside and outside to express their own opinion on many subjects. Anyway if I live in Republic I should have to be a chance to express my opinion. There is still a place, where I can not do this. That place is unfortunately my home, what does not
My favourite outfit My name is Kerli. I am a 16-year-old schoolgirl. I am from Estonia. I would say I am usually helpful and kind. If anyone needs my help in anything, then I will always lend a hand. I like doing sports and I like to wear sporty clothes, because they are very comfortable. Also, like to wear feminine clothes. My favourite outfit is a leather jacket with blue jeans, a white blouse and black platforms. The leather jacket has white stripes down the sleeves. It is also quite worn-out by now because I have had it for some time now and I tend to wear it throughout the spring and autumn months. In fact it has gotten quite a few little tears where it has got caught on sharp objects. These clothes came from one of those big department stores and not a specialist leather shop.

Catherine Morland My name is Catherine Morland. I would like to tell you a bit about myself. To begin with, I am seventeen years old and grew up in a countryside in a small town named Fullerton with my parents and nine siblings. As a child I was interested in many things like drawing, sports and music. I was very lively and cheerful, enjoyed cricket, horse riding and just hated cleanliness and restriction. As I grew up, I chose reading over sports and all of the wild games I used to like. Undoubtedly, I would now describe myself with the word naivety. I am very naïve

I was not merely across the country from my former home in San Diego, but seemingly worlds away. Two major metropolises-one endlessly temperate and sensually lazy, the other teeming with life and frenetic energy. In my dreams, I'd imagining living in a walkup in Brooklyn, but being a dutiful daughter, I found myself on the Upper West Side instead. If not for Cary living with me, I would've been miserably lonely in the sprawling apartment that cost more per month than most people made in a year. The doorman tipped his hat to me. "Good evening, Miss Tramell. Will you need a cab this evening?" "No thanks, Paul." I rocked onto the rounded heels of my fitness shoes. "I'll be walking." He smiled. "It's cooled down from this afternoon. Should be nice."

B 2.1 Read the text ("The Girl from the Darkness" by C.Blossom) and answer the questions below. /.../Barely able to stand still, she left the crime scene and moved towards nothingness, since white fog had swollen all muddy streets of the sleeping capital. She walked and walked, until she found herself in a park or was it a garden? Creepy bare trees surrounded her sight, leaving scary shadows all over the dark grass; the moonlight was weak nothing much could be seen. In the distance, there was probably a nice house with a warm heat burning in the fireplace and a table filled with all kinds of dishes yes, the girl could almost feel the warmth and she closed her eyes to keep the illusion. However, the feeling didn't disappear even after her consciousness returned. Slowly she opened her pitch black sad eyes and saw that someone was holding her; someone so strong
From the 13th century onwards the ancient Estonians had to continually fight for their freedom, against the Danes, Germans, Swedes, Poles and Russians. The Russians annexed the Estonian territory from Sweden after the Great Northern War in 1721 by the Treaty of Nystad. After the fall of Tsarist Russia in 1917, Estonians fought for their independence, and in 1918 the Republic of Estonia was established and endured until 1940. In the summer of that year the Soviet Union occupied all three Baltic states. As a result of the deep inner crisis within the Soviet Empire it became possible to re-establish the Estonian Republic in August 1991. A month later Estonia joined the United Nations. In 1997 the population reached 1.462 million; from this Estonians total 65% (950,124) and other nationalities 35%. The capital Tallinn, mentioned for the first time in 1154, has a population of 434,800 (1995). Other important towns are Tartu,
