Hello ladies and gentelmans Today I'm going to talk about how global warming will change the way we live in future. In fact durning the twentieth century global temperature went up by over 0,7 Celsius degree. It looks pretty small number but even slight Climate change leads to serious consequences. Firstly, global warming will cause that glaciers start to melt. And as a result, the water level will raise and cities and villages which are located near oceans and sees will be flooded. Secondly, if we don't stop global warming, we will bserve more
Causes: *The main cause of animal extinction, without doubt,is human demand, either for animal resources directly, or for the natural resources of the animals' habitats. *In addition to that, there are other indirect causes caused by human activities. *Habitat loss: Is considered to be the main cause for animal extinction. Humans are clearing our forests for wood and timber. The foodchain is disturbed and animals will die. *Wildlife trade: Poaching and wildlife trade are another common threat to animals. International wildlife trade has also been linked to drugs trade. The most common anilmal trade is pet trade, such as orangutangs. Animals are also killed for fur(tigers, leopards, cheetahs) *Climate change: It has been recently suggested that warmer global temperatures may be affecting animals. In fact, it has been suggested that the golden toad became extinct because of the warmer climate. The Animals *T-REX: Tyrannosaurus rex was on...
WE NEED PAPER BOOKS We really need paper books. Now a days, most of teenagers think that studying by a computers or mobile phones is much more useful, but actually ist's not. A lot of people spend their time at home using a computer, when people start doing it in schools too, they are going to be blind soon, because it affects your eyes. People should really think about their future more. I understand if you are doing some schoolworks on the computer, but definitely not all of those.
My best friend I have one best friend. Her name is Elen and we have known each other since we were 12 years old. We met with her in school in dance class about 14 years ago. If I were to describe how she looks, I would say she is very pretty. She has short brown hair, brown almond-shaped eyes, a small nose and a small pointed chin. She is not very tall but not short either and she is quite slim. She doesn't like to dress up so I usually see her wearing jeans and a T-shirt or sweater. It seems like she and I are always talking or laughing about something. She has a very nice
Why do we need morality? As an English philosopher Thomas Hobbes (1588-1679) said, all humans are made equal in mental and physical abilities. This does not mean that all of us are equally strong, smart or beautiful, but that everyone has the ability to damage or kill the other. The main goals, we all want to achieve, are having a shelter, security, power, wealth and enough food. This means that people are constantly competing with each other and that makes all of us (who desire the same things) enemies. Hobbes names the insecurity and fear people feel towards each other a "state of nature". In this state there are no moral rules or enforced laws, also no justice or injustice. People, being violent and arbitrary, will only follow their own interest. So without laws
Dear . . . . . . . . , date Thank you for your letter. I write to you about homework in my home. We have a house and we have a lot of homework. Mostly does homework my mother. We have a big house and there are a lot of rooms. My mother dusts the shelves twice a week. My mum likes very much flowers and she has a lot of flowers and then she must to water the flowers. Always does the lundry my mum. She does the lundry three times a week. We have a huge garden too and there is a lot of work. My mum plants flowers and does weeding of flowerbeds. In home I must to mow the lawn, thats not a problem for me. I mow the lawn of my neighbour too. I like to mow the lawn
It was a perfectly ordinary Friday evening. Dark, muddy and full moon shining in the sky.Parents decided to go to our summer cottage on this weekend. It is a little old house in the woods, but not far from our house there are ohter summer cottages. Father helped us carry things into the house, after that sister and I decided to take a walk in the woods. Mom asked us to be careful, because people were talking about a creature that was hairy, fast and with bloody eyes and sharp teeth. We thought it is unbelivable and funny, just for people could have something to talk about. After all it seemed impossible. We took different way than usually. We walked until we came to an old, ugly, deserted house. Curiosity was so great that we forgot mom's advice. Approaching the house we saw window frames covered with cobwebs . We decided to open the door even tough we were frightened... Creeeek! We trembled and took a step back .. we realized that it was just the floor board .. we moved on .
We live in a constantly changing world There seems to be no stability or certanity about anything. Nations rise and fall, governments come to power and tumble, armies march and retreat, healthy people become sick and on and on the world goes. On the one hand the world we are living in is amazing, because science, medicine, technology, and so on are advancing at an ever-increasing pace. It has made our lives much easier than it was 100 years ago. For example we have phones, television, fast cars, eco towns, highrise buildings and so on. But on the other hand the world can also be frightful. People are starving, and do not have water to drink nor wash themselves. But somewhere someone has unlimited food and water and never thinks about those people who are in need. Due to the over consumption of water, gas, wood et cetera, we might be in a lack of mineral resources in the future. And if they run out, we need to find an alternative variant
Are we too dependent on computers? Computer is quite new invention, but it is amazing how fast its popularity have increased. People all over world use the Internet for sending e-mails, playing games, communicating with friends, buying things and reading interesting articles or newspapers. Even in a small country like Estonia almost in every home there is at least one computer or even more. Firstly, nowadays almost every indoor vocation requires computer knowledge because all paperwork is done with a computer. Work with computer is comfortable and much easier. People are dedicated to computers. They can make researches, find information and cannot even imagine their everyday life without computers. Secondly, in society 15-25-year-old youngsters use computers the most. Mostly they use these for messaging, playing games, commenting pictures and listening to music and watching films. It is common to talk with fri...

We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children Our planet has resources which are necessary for people's everyday life. As the population is growing the resources are decreasing. One of the things that affects the life on the earth is overconsumption. We consume more than what the earth can regenerate. This is a big problem because our exhaustible resources are running out. This is a problem that has huge consequences. It means that in the future people may not have enough resources, beacuse right now we are using too much. Secondly, there is a huge amout of waste and pollution. Clean air is our most valuable resource, but it is getting more and more polluted, in the same way as the water. For example,
The effect of modern technology on our everyday life In the nowadays world, we are living in the era of advanced technology. Almost every activity that we do in our daily life is somehow connected with technology usage. It plays a major role not only in our lives, but also helped in development of various industries, changed education, entertainment. We can not measure this process and it`s impact on society, but one thing we can say for sure – technology has become part of pupils lives. There are so many advantages connected with technology and how it affected our everyday life. To start with, development of mobile technology, computers and internet made life easier. We can find information in sites like Google in a couple of minutes instead of looking for required information in books for hours. In the older times, writing a letter, sending and bringing to a required person took minimum a
What are the Estonians like? Estonia is a very small country, therefore its population is quite small. We, Estonians, are very friendly and care about each other. When our country is going through rough times , we stick together and try to go through them as one . There aren't many riots in our country, because we aren't violent people. We like to stay quiet, so only a few of us have the courage to say their opinion out loud. Estonians have quite good manners. We say hi to each other and we often say sorry, even if our acts aren't so bad. There are also many gentlemen in Estonia, who open doors for women and make a lot of compliments. I really like that, because one opened door or one little compliment can make your mood for the entire day. Our country has four seasons and every season changes our mood
We Do Not Inherit the Earth From our Ancestors; We Borrow It From Our Children Some of the people think that the Earth is like something, that we can take and it will grow back like apples every summer on trees. But I do not think it does. I think we borrow it from the future. Firstly we are using too much water nowadays. We are wasting it and not thinking about the future, but we should. Lately the media has started to speak more about the need for clean water, specially in some parts of the Earth. In the past people did not have showers or baths, toilets with water, dishwashers. These and many other things use more water, than people used to. Secondly we are producing a lot more, than we maybe should. It seems like the most meaningful thing nowadays is money. Maybe because of that we are over producing. If we look at the landfills we can see how full they are
We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children There is a saying that „we do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.“ Nowadays people don not think about it and are ruining the planet. There are researches which say that the human life on Earth will go extinct within a century. Eventually the Earth will become uninhabitable. People cannot change the past but their actions affect the future. One of the ways how people are affecting the lives of future generations is increasing pollution. Clean air and water are the most valuable resources, but they are getting more and
Tolerance as a characteristic feature is an acknowledged ideal in today`s modern society. The democratic state is based on tolerance. Over the last few years the attitude against ethnic monorities has been a frequently discussed topic in Estonia. Russians, who settled in Estonia during the USSR occupation are causing economical, racial and religious conflicts between them and Estonians. Although Estonians don't have any particular reason why we don't accept Russians as equals, we are used to just unaccept them. Religous percecution is a serious side of intolerance. Jew-baiting has been the bitterest case in history. Their percecution was caused by their antichristian beliefs and holding on to their own religion. Its culmination came during the World War II, when the massive Jew-baiting took place, known as the Holocaust. People's, who obeyed Adolf Hitler, tolerance changed to a very cruel way of intolerance.
Tolerance is the ability to be fair and understanding to people whose ways and opinions are different from one's own. It seems like a good and challenging streak to have, but the question is, how far we can go with it. I would say not very far. More and more media and public encourage us to be tolerant to homosexuals and their lifestyle and many countries have actually made their marriages legal and tolerate them. Also, there have been numerous discussions on whether they should have the right to have, adopt and raise children. To me, it is absolutely unacceptable because this is not normal. They could have good facilities for
How far can we go being tolerant? Tolerance- it is the willingness to accept or tolerate somebody ot something especially opinions or behaviuor that you may not agree with, or people who are not like you. When we speak about tolerance and being tolerant, then of course all of us do not have the same opinion about tolerance. There is saying that there are as many different opinions as people in the world and talking about tolerance is not different. How we tolerate other people and their behaviour depends a lot of how we are raised and educated, where we live and who we connect to When we hear word ,,tolerant" then mostly we connect it with homo sexuals, racism, religion and all kinds of different people(disabled people for example) and how we tolerate those things. Speaking of homo sexuals then for me they are same people as I am and I have nothing against them. I only would not like if homo sexuals would start
I like to travel. But it is difficult to visit countries, when you don´t know the language of these countries. If I know the language of the country, where I am going to, it will be easy to travel there. I lke to read books. And I like to read newspaper too. If I know, for example, English I´ll be able to read ,,The Morning Star". I know, that it is a very popular newspaper. Knowledge of foreign languages helps us to develop friendship and understanding among the people. For example, we have a foreign exhibition in Moscow. If I know a foreign language, it is easy for me to visit this exhibition. If I want to ask something, I can do it in English. You can see a lot of advertisements, signboards, names in the street. They are in foreign languages. Very often they are in English. If you know English, you can read and understand them. Now we buy many dresses from other countries. If you know English well, you can read something about size of this or that thing
for everyone. Smoking damages our health. Acctually non-smokers life is much longer, than people who smoke, because smokers can get lung cancer, which usually means death. For example, of course many people are drinking a lot too. By my side, I think drinking is not so bad, but you need to border mind. Young people consume too much alcohol what is very bad to their healt. However, very important thing is doing sports. Sport helps to be in the form. Thanks to sport activities we can move and this is very important to your body. You should be an active. Finally, we need to rest a lot and sleep. Sleeping helps our body to rest. If we do not sleep, then our body is very tied. When we are rested, then we are more entertaining and friendly. All in all, our life is in our hands. When we do sport, eat healthy, rest, do not smoke and drink in moderation and have good environment, then we live longer.
Mait Rõõmus Mr. Savala English 4 26 September 2013 Prompt #5 We all have felt good about donating something. It gives us inner peace, satisfaction, and an overall benevolent feeling. Donating money, clothes or "yourself" by volunteering does not require us to do the impossible we do that which is quite possible. A few weeks ago, I went through my friend's wallet and found an organ donor card. It really made me think. Would I be willing to donate an organ to help someone or to receive an organ from someone I do not know if I needed it? This whole idea makes me stop and think. Health issues are very common nowadays and luckily, medical science has advanced so much that nearly everything is curable. In addition to good medical science, organ
Should we first discover our homeland before going to other countries? It does not matter where in the world you live you always tend to think that anywhere else life is better and has more opportunities to success in life. It may be so but the majority sometimes does not even know the chances and advantages of their own homeland. If to talk about in the matter of travelling then I am assured that it is not relevant to drive through all your homeland in order to take a plane to another country. Some of the countries (or some parts of it) are so big or hardly reachable that half of the locals wont access these parts of the country never in their whole lifetime. I am certain that no one should waste their life on acting like someone has said to be right instead of acting by your own desires. Furthermore, if you have lived in your homeland for your entire lifetime, you should be wise enough to know about the culture, nature and geogra...
How can we reduce air pollution level in cities? The air pollution levels are extremely high in cities, but how can people change this situation? Cars and big factories emit lots of deleterious gases into the air, for example carbonic acid gas, cities are not healthy places to live anymore. Firstly, we should using the public transport. Everybody can walk and bicycle instead of driving cars. Vehicles emit a lot of harmful gases into the air. Every family member does not need his or her own car. One car for the whole family would minimise the number of cars in cities and air pollution levels will come down. Secondly, people have to recycle. It would help reduce factories work. It will emit less harmful gases into the air.
How can we make our cities more environmentally friendly? If I walk along the city streets, I feel a terrible smell. That comes from cars. It makes me feel very ill. Then I just have to step on trash, because people can't wait and look for a bin. That's why our streets are so dirty. Everywhere I go, there are always some workmen building big houses. If we improved public transport or made electric cars, our streets wouldn't be so polluted. In Tallinn, for example, the air there is so polluted, that you can hardly breathe there. If the authorities put bins everywhere in the streets, our cities would be cleaner. The second thing is, that people still drop litter on the ground, even if there is a bin somewhere nearby. If we didn't build so much houses all around cities, we could save money from that
How much does life weigh? The question can be understood differently. Some might take it word by word, others in some metaphorical way. Many are convinced that a human body has an immortal part - a soul. With knowing how few it actually weights, we can only assume what we have in these grams and whether it is anything worth at all. First of all, what do we claim to be a soul? It is our conscience with no form or location. It is the energy that is a part of the whole universe. In consideration of this, every human being has their own soul. This is what makes us all different and unique. Because of this, how can we even question the weight of our lives, when it seems to be completely different for everyone? Well, let's think about the moment of death. It is the exact moment, where our energy leaves our bodies. It
How can we reduce air pollution levels in our cities? Are our cities clean and fresh enough? Unfortunately people don't see that actually cities aren't clean enough. The Aair pollution is growing every day, but how can WE change it? Firstly, we should watch out for the garbage we produce. Many things that are thrown away can be recycled, but some of the people aren't aware of that. They throw things away which may be dangerous for nature. Another solution is to use more buses and bicycles. Every family member doesn't need his/her own car. When you move more in fresh air, you will feel better yourself, your health will be better and you will reduce air pollution levels. Finally, big-factory owners should pay attention where they build on their factories
How can we increase the quality of breathable air? “I’ll go out for a breath of fresh air” is an often-heard phrase. But how many of us realize that this has become irrelevant in today’s world? Air pollution is the addition of any harmful substances to the atmosphere, which causes the damaging of the environment, human health and the quality of life. Firstly, we should use green methods of powering like wind energy and landfill gas energy. This would reduce the amount of harmful gases. Another useful suggestion would be to plant trees. In this way we can increase the source of breathable oxygen. Unfortunately, many companies are contributing to deforestation. Finally, it would help if we put taxes on carbon emissions or higher taxes on gasoline. In this way people and companies will have
How can we reduce air pollution levels in our cities? Is our cities a safe place for us? Tons of harmful gases emit to the air everyday. Factories have caused this problem. We need to do something fast before our city doesn`t become deserted. Firstly, we have to create industrial park. It will help to reduce factories in the cities, where a lot of people live. Another solution is to start stricting the laws. If the laws be very strict, then less and less persons will be able to get a license for the new factory. Finally, we should renovate our factories. Modern plant emit less unhealthy gases. This would allow us to start a policy, which will help to clean our environment.
How can we reduce air pollution levels in our cities? Is the air in our cities clean? Unfortunately does not seem like it. Air is getting more polluted every day and we are constantly breathing that air. We need to do something fast before it is too late. Firstly, there is too much traffic in the city centre and cars emit bad fumes. A good idea would be to introduce parking and riding schemes. In this way there will be fewer cars in the city centre and in longer perspective air will get a lot cleaner. Another problem are factories polluting the air. There are so many factories that there is always smoke covering the city. It would help if we could create industrial parks. In this way

The future seems dark. There have been plenty of ideas discussed about what will happen in 2012. But how do we know which to trust? There's very little legitimate scientific evidence out there to tell us unequivocally what the truth is, so what do we really know? The most important thing to remember when looking into all the theories going around is this: No one knows. Not the Mayan experts, not the conspiracy theorists, not the sceptics. Recently sceptics have used comments from modern day Mayans themselves that 2012 is a hoax, and that no Mayan calendar points to the end of the world on December 21, 2012. This is somewhat misleading. While Mayans do not believe the world will end on 2012, many do

How to deal with water shortage problems? Water covers more than 70% of the Earth's surface and it is the most valuable resource in the world. We need water to live on this planet otherwise life on Earth wouldn't be possible. Many countries suffer from water shortages. There is no fresh water for people usage. It's actually a major problem in the world but what can we do to decrease this? Firstly, people need to realise that there are many other people in the world who does not have accessibility to water. We can decrease it by not wasting water on pointless things for example long showers and watering flowers outside the house. By doing this we will economize water and it may be possible for other people to use fresh water as well. Secondly, it is really important to keep the water fresh and clean but many factories let their

knowing the value of yourself as an employee or as a company and making others see what you are worth. This speech seemed interesting to me, because the gender wage gap what she is aiming to is also actual in Estonia. The gender wage gap is a subject that affects somehow all of us. Gender wage gap figure has publicly launched a couple discussions on fair treatment of women and men, and gender balance issues. Casey Brown has some really good tips that we could use to help us. 4. slaid fear and doubts The main point of Casey's speech is that: No one will ever pay you what you're worth. They'll only ever pay you what they think you're worth, and you control their thinking. Casey Brown told two stories. One story was about herself reevaluating her pricing to her clients. She found that eventhough she was pricing consultant an expert, she had doubts and fears too
Human nature exposed in G.Orwell's ,,Animal Farm" Humans are the most deceitful animals in the World. Even if we do not want to confess it to ourselves, we have to accept the fact that humans constantly change their ways of thinking and acting to make the World a better place to live in for themselves. Our lives are fulfilled with lies we enter to our or someone else's mind. A lot of it is connected to people's constant need of power and control. "Animal Farm" is a book that reverberates that kind of human nature through politics, dictatorship and power, but in nowadays' World this kind of behaviour occurs also in our everyday life, not only politics. First of all humans are in a constant need of power. The essence of the power does not even matter as long as they have some kind of control. It could be control over some

Schools should provide computers for students to use for all their school subjets Nowadays we are making a step up into the era of IT. Everything is becoming computerized. Is there a way to not overuse technics? Now the question is: "Should schools provide computers for students to use for all their school subjects?" I strongly believe that schools should have modern computers but there is no need in using them for all the subjects. Firstly, sitting in front of a computer screen all day can be damaging for students' health, especially sight
What life might be like a hundred years from now? Life nowadays is changing very fast. We are having phones, full on different features, with last ten years, almost every family have their own computer and in some countries everyday food is changed with genetically modified food. But how our life can be changed after hundred years? In 2112, we are living in Earth. We are not using air, because after air pollution, it is dangerous for people to breathe it. We are definitely driving with aircrafts, because we ran out of fuel over 50 years ago. Because Earth is very polluted, there isn't any way to grow food. All food is made in factories from plastic and other chemical stocks, so they are not very healthy. Poor people live only about 20 years old, because people get their vitamins and nutrients, to be live, only from chemist's. All cars are converted to aircrafts. Traffic accidents are not so tragic anymore, even though speed
Dear Hanna, Hi! How are you? I would love to see you, we should go out someday. Anyway, i've finally got some time to write a letter and tell you something about my holiday. We tooked a road trip all over the island. We saw Blue eye, sharks and the saline. The best thing of these were the sharks, it was scary but also amazing. I think that you should go ther too, because it has everything you need for a perfect holiday. Anyway, I'd better go now. Write soon. Love , Max Dear Regina, Hi! How are you? Sorry I haven't been in touch for a while but I've been really busy. I've finally got some free time, so I thought i tell you about my last holiday
His youthful hose, well saved, a world too wide For his shrunk shank, and his big manly voice, Turning again toward childish treble, pipes And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all, That ends this strange eventful history, Is second childishness and mere oblivion, Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything. (W. Shakespeare) There lie more answers beneath these poetical phrases than one could ever give when describing a textbook just like the actors, we seek for knowledge without really finding it until we've finished the play. Every written piece of paper is something precious it contains information that can either make our day or totally ruin the mood; that's the secret of all books. They have the power to change the world up-side down. The English textbook given to us this year is something we must carefully treasure after all, there are going to be more people next year either to praise or suffer from it. But not the
This essay will look at Gregory's theory and Gibson's theory of visual perception whether one or the other offers a better explanation of human visual perception. According to top-down perceptual processing theorists, perception is the end result of an indirect process that involves making inferences about the world based on knowledge and expectations. An example of this process is Gregory's (1980) constructivist theory. He suggests that to avoid sensory overload, we need to select from the information surrounding us, therefore, we often supplement perception with unconscious inferences. Thus he argues that perception begins with an incomplete retinal image that is two- dimensional, flat and size depends on distance.
