Many years ago, a most of people did not have a choice where to live. It used to be that poor people lived in the countryside and rich people in the city. Nowadays it has changed. People can choose and most of them choose to live in the city. City and countryside are both different places where to live. Both have their positive and negative sides. Rural versus Urban

Rural versus Urban Of course, living in a rural or an urban society-both have their strong sides and weak sides. I have lived in rural society for my whole life so I know how life outside city is. Best thing about not living in a town is the quietness. If you have lived in quietness for your whole life then you won't even understand how pleasant it actually is. But I have heard that many city peoples enjoys only the peace and quietness at countryside, because when you live in town you hear till morning to evening driving cars. Another big plus for rural environment is clean and beautiful nature. Forests where you can go camping and lakes where you can go swimming. It may look very exciting to an urban people but it may seem boring to rural people. So, good thing about living in city is that there are probably many more people who you can meet with. Thanks to this there is a bigger possibility that you would find yourself a girlfriend

Do live in the countryside or in the city? essay

Essay Do live in the countryside or in the city? At the time I am living with my mother in the countryside. I am eighteen years old and when I finish school I want to be independent and live on my own. People say that when you live in the countryside you are living the easy life. I agree but physically it is very exhausting. You have to work hard to keep the house and yard clean. When you have a farm there is no lack of work and you always have your hands in the soil. At least there is always some action. Although living in the countryside has few bad sides, I am sure rural life stays always in my heart. To me country life has more pros than cons. If you are a maverick which I am then living in the countryside has the privacy what you need. Also you can grow your own vegetables and fruits when you live in the countryside. I think any fruit or vegetable which is

Why should tourists visit Estonia?

Why should tourists visit Estonia? I have always though of my country as a huge ,,multicultural city". We have so many different cultures from different places put into a little place all together that you could almost say we are a huge city not a country. And that has influenced us in a very remarcable way. Since the time we can remember we have been under Danes, Swedes, Germans, Russians, Polans and other. We have taken their traditions into our daily lives and forgotten ours. But still despite the fact that we bearly know our own language structure or our old traditions,we try to awake them once again. Estonia is one of the worlds wealthiest countries when it comes to forests. Almost half of the country is covered with the divercity of trees. Also we have many big rivers. Nowadays there are many possibilities to hike in the forests or to go for a ride on the river. Many company`s have started to give out this kind of service and it is very

Silicon Valley

Silicon Valley Could you reproduce Silicon Valley elsewhere, or is there something unique about it? It wouldn't be surprising if it were hard to reproduce in other countries, because you couldn't reproduce it in most of the US either. What does it take to make a silicon valley even here? What it takes is the right people. If you could get the right ten thousand people to move from Silicon Valley to Buffalo, Buffalo would become Silicon Valley. That's a striking departure from the past. Up till a couple decades ago, geography was destiny for cities. All great cities were located on waterways, because cities made money by trade, and water was the only economical way to ship.

Meanwhile, Stiva's childhood friend Konstantin Dmitrievich Levin ("Kostya") arrives in Moscow with the aim of proposing to Dolly's youngest sister Princess Ekaterina Alexandrovna Shcherbatskaya, "Kitty". Levin is a passionate, restless but shy aristocratic landowner who, unlike his Moscow friends, chooses to live in the country on his large estate. He discovers that Kitty is also being pursued by Count Alexei Kirillovich Vronsky, an army officer. At the railway station to meet Anna, Stiva bumps into Vronsky. Vronsky is there to meet his mother. It surmises that Anna and the Countess Vronskaya have travelled together in the same carriage and talked together. Living in the countryside — a pleasant experience or a never-ending hardship

Living in the countryside -- a pleasant experience or a never-ending hardship Each person have their own opinion about living in the countryside. Nowadays preffered a lots of comfort by choosing a life in the city. So life in the countryside seems a little bit boring or compliacted. What are the pluses and minuses of living in a country? What i would prefer and why? I think that life in the country is most interesting in summer, because you can peacefully enjoy the nature in your own garden. In the city it is impossible. In the country you almost never can't be in a situation, that there is nothing to do. You will always find new activities, because you need to take care of the yard, irrigate glasshouses and flowers, dig and etcetera.

THE CAPITALIST NIGER

Harold McMillan articulated his now famous “winds of change” sweeping Africa. We had high hopes for Africa, for the Black race, that the insidious imposition of foreign rule on us, the looting of Africa’s natural resources by our colonial masters accorded us would be things of history. That is more than forty years ago. Unfortunately, the promise of independence has not been fulfilled. Today, Africa has become more desolate; there is more starvation, diseases and non-provision of essential services than when we got our independence. There are all kinds of wars in Africa than the rest of world put together. The majority of so-called Africans leaders want to stay in power until the day their bodies are put in the grave. Through buffoonery, utter mismanagement and downright stealing of the wealth of the masses, these leaders have so impoverished Africa that we are now nothing but a beggar continent. We beg for

Education Education is so multifaceted that it is difficult for me to know where to begin discussing it, or how to prioritize the many factors. Relaying my own experience is easy: I had a standard classroom approach, supplemented by inordinate reading. In only the briefest and least memorable instances did I receive any individual tutoring. Education is commonly thought of as the job of schools. Adults cry "educate our children!" Everyone has opinions about the best way to do the job. It is of urgent importance, and all the numerous factors are much studied, debated, and new (or old) ideas continually tested or retested. Some people say "it's as simple as . . . " and then name their pet peeve or passion. My view is not of an education specialist, but of one who loves sharing what I learn, and owes much to educators. Since I don't have an educational theory neatly worked-out, nor an outline

Second, picture 1 as well as picture 2 tell us about typical aspects of student life.  However, the pictures clearly differ from each other in several aspects. British Cuisine Some people criticize English food. They say it's unimaginable, boring, tasteless, it's chips with everything and totally overcooked vegetables. The basic ingredients, when fresh, are so full of flavour that British haven't had to invent sauces to disguise their natural taste. What can compare with fresh pees or new potatoes just boiled and served with butter? Why drown spring lamb in wine or cream and spices, when with just one or two herbs it is absolutely delicious? If you ask foreigners to name some typically English dishes, they will probably say

How does virtual communication influence our behaviour and relationships

How does virtual communication influence our behaviour and relationships? Virtual world is growing closer to ours every day. It has its pros, as well as cons and the industry involved in it has grown most rapidly in the last 15 year. Therefore, does virtual communication influence us positively or negatively? Becoming virtual in the means of communication has changed our lives forever. Recent studies tell that about 75% of the people in North-America use the internet and from that 95% use email and other virtual communication software. This percentage has grown over 130% from the year 2000. I bring my examples on North-America because there is the highest percentage of Internet users in population. Talking of it, what is internet? Statistics say that it is porn, but I believe that people mostly use it for communication. But can it be bad?

Is it better to live in a city or is the countryside?

An essay Nowadays most people live in a city. However, there are also people living in the countryside. They are two entirely different ways of life - each with their own advantages and disadvantages. Most of the younger generation lives in the city because there is much more to do than in the countryside. You can go to the cinema, to a theatre, shopping, clubbing, to a gym etc. You will never run out of activities to do. While that may be true, there are some things that you can only do in the countryside for example going fishing, camping or playing outside with your pets. A calm rural lifestyle is for people who enjoy peace and quiet. In addition to that there is fresh air, which is good for your health. You are also more likely to be more active and walk in the nature. Having said that, in the city there are hospitals and drugstores nearby, so if you get sick or injured, you will have drugs

How far can we go being tolerant? Tolerance- it is the willingness to accept or tolerate somebody ot something especially opinions or behaviuor that you may not agree with, or people who are not like you. When we speak about tolerance and being tolerant, then of course all of us do not have the same opinion about tolerance. There is saying that there are as many different opinions as people in the world and talking about tolerance is not different. How we tolerate other people and their behaviour depends a lot of how we are raised and educated, where we live and who we connect to When we hear word ,,tolerant" then mostly we connect it with homo sexuals, racism, religion and all kinds of different people(disabled people for example) and how we tolerate those things. Similarly to how women were once viewed, children have not been considered as subjects of rights due to their perceived incompetence and irrationality. Currently, children are not considered as being rational and capable of exercising responsibility until the age of majority, the age of 18. However, the adoption of the U.N Convention of the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) in 1989 granted for the first time the recognition for children as worthy individuals with rights of their own

Cars enslave us rather than liberate us Transportation is something that has a big influence on people's lives. Especially cars that offer the best comfort for humans. There is always a need to go somewhere: to school, work or just for a journey and it is always good to reach a destination as soon as possible. Of course, the importance of the car depends on the person's residence, whether the person lives in a city or in the countryside, the needs are different. In my opinion, cars enslave people because once a person gets behind the wheel, there is no way out of this comfort. To begin with, car requires a many expenditure, starting from purchasing a car and ending with technical controls, supplying of fuel and so on. It can be said that the material side of the car sustenance is difficult. A person must have a stable income to afford a car. Moreover, it is expensive to get a driver's license. It can be

How far can we go being tolerant?

Tolerance is the ability to be fair and understanding to people whose ways and opinions are different from one's own. It seems like a good and challenging streak to have, but the question is, how far we can go with it. I would say not very far. More and more media and public encourage us to be tolerant to homosexuals and their lifestyle and many countries have actually made their marriages legal and tolerate them. Also, there have been numerous discussions on whether they should have the right to have, adopt and raise children. To me, it is absolutely unacceptable because this is not normal. They could have good facilities for bringing up children and lots of love to give them, but in my eyes it just is not suitable for a child. How could a child live a normal life having to live with two mothers or two fathers? It may sound
