To begin with, I arrived at your museum at exactly 11.12, yet the ticket office was still closed even though according to the advertisement every door should have been opened by 11 o'clock. However, when I started to look for another gate or entrance, there were none at all. It seems that the front door of your museum is very difficult to find without a map. The Tower of London in The 20th Century During the First World War eleven German spies were shot by firing squad in the Tower of London. Only one bomb was dropped on the Tower during that war and fortunately it fell on the moat. During the Second World War the Tower of London was closed to the public and the crown jewels were removed to a safer location. During the war the Tower suffered bomb damage and two 19th century buildings were destroyed. Part of the Old Hospital Block was also destroyed. Meanwhile Rudolf Hess the Deputy Fuhrer flew to Scotland in May 1941 and was imprisoned in the Tower. However only one German was actually shot in the Tower during World War II. He was a man named Josef Jakobs and he was executed in August 1941.

Globe Theater The Globe Theatre was a theatre in London associated with William Shakespeare. He wrote there many of his greatest plays. It was first built in 1599 by Shakespeare's playing company, the Lord Chamberlain's Men, and was destroyed by fire on 29 June 1613. It was rebuilt in June 1614 and closed in 1642. It stood on the bank of the River Thames in Southwark, London, England, UK. In 1987, though, after many years of careful research, work began to build a new theatre as much like the original as possible. The New Globe was built with the same materials and building methods as the Shakespeare´s theatre. It is a round building, 3 storeys high, with a wooden frame and plaster walls.
