Kristjan Raud Kristjan Raud (18651943) belongs to the older generation of Estonian artistic pathfinders. Together with his twin brother Paul Raud and his contemporary artist, Ants Laikmaa, he managed to break through the obstacles set before the Estonians by the prevailing peasant mentality and the extremely classconscious society of the time. Kristjan Raud was one of the first Estonian artists who is brave enough to try and make his career in his homeland, although his talent and connections in the art world, established already during his studies in Germany and St.Petersburg would have enabled him to easily merge in either place. The long years of study in St.Petersburg, Dusseldorf and Munich ended in 1903 when Kristjan Raud settled at home. A great part of K. Rauds work is based on Estonian folklore. his drawings have been the first to give visible
aunt. Sal is a college student and writer who has for a long time wished to travel around America in order to get inspiration for his novels and finally gets around to it. It is also mentioned that Sal recently split up with his first wife and recovered from a serious illness. Sal and Dean. Before Sal met Dean he was quite reserved and shy, but later Sal becomes almost as outgoing as his new friend. Sal is inspired by the wildness that is in Dean Moriarty and wishes to be brave like him. Sal sees Dean as his hero and role model thus overlooking Dean's faults and protecting him when others call Dean crazy. Dean makes many mistakes throughout the novel, but Sal quickly forgives him and everything starts from the beginning. In some ways Sal envies the madness of Dean, but is unable to replicate it himself, unless he is under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Sal and women. The beginning of On the Road already gives away that Sal is not good with women

She was always ready to take a risk. She was active young woman. I think that in nowdays young people should follow her steps and be more valorous. Secondly, in life you have to be very confident. Life is complicated and you never now what it brings to you. Amelia Earhart was many times in complicated situations and she knew all the time what to do. She stick to her speculations. To conclude, I think that Amelia Earhart is a good role model for young women because she was very brave and confident. In nowdays, women should do the same.

Positive sides of the economic recession The economic recession is inevitable. Without it people would not have any understanding about how economy works and what are the future expectations. During the recession people start thinking about cheaper ways of living. Since the monthly income might not be as brave as it was before, they turn their attention to discounted alternative products and find out that for example it may be possible to use low-priced detergents instead of purchasing a highly recommended one and double the expense. Also, a lot of enterprises and companies gain experience from recessions. They might suffer under lack of different resources for example financial and material crisis. However, if the

The truth pushes our world forward 1. Truth has helped us to study and learn more about our world, not like religion and bible have done. Religion did not let science to evolve, but thanks to the sciences like Galileo Galilei science evolved because he was brave enough to say that earth is not the centre of the world. 2. Truth always comes out, Crusade wars began because of Turks conquered the holy lands and mistreated the Christians not because Christians wanted to increase their religion that happened later after the Crusade wars. 3. The Bible put humans to believe that we all are Childs of Adam and Eve but in fact humans evolved from apes and the truth helped the science to find the real origin of people. 4
However they still say that they will think about it, when I offer them money. A lot of money. Isn't this weird? A lot of people will do everything to get money, they even agree selling their organ to somebody. Likewise we can find people, who would give their organ only to somebody on family. I totally understand that. They think that why they have to sell their organ to some stranger? That's okey to think that. I think that it is very brave to give his/her organ to some close relative and nobody have the rights to say to you: ,,Hey, why didn't you sell the organ to this stranger? '' Nobody. Still, selling human organ is something that every person can do or don't have to do at all. This is our decision whether we want to sell organ or not so let's make our decisions on our own. Marelle Suurmäe.
I always take my best friends, Snowbell, Dina and Kitty, with me to my quests but they seem to appear as someone else so I usually recognise them only later. But it doesn't matter. They're my best friends in the real world and I talk to them all the time. I think my characteristics come out the best during my dreams. For example I am very curious and I never settle with what's right in front of me. I always want to see more and to do that you also have to be very determined and brave. I wanted to see more from the Looking-Glass world than just the livingroom and after I was offered the chance to become a queen I did not once give up on the long trip to the Eighth Square. Even when I had to enter the wood where things don't have names alone. I was a bit scared but I kept on going! Oh! And that reminds me! I do love my name and I am so glad it came back to me! I'm quite sure that if I had received a new one it would have not fit me at all.

Tallinn is well known for its medieval city. It is not only old houses and streets that have survived, but also legends connect to them that have reached us. Tallinn was first mentioned in the historical books of the Arabic geographer. If the primeval city walls could talk, they would tell us stories better than any adventure book. The walls have seen it all: the black pestilence, the great fire of Tallinn and brave warriors. Many big and powerful countries have conquer Estonia, but Estonia has always fought for their freedom. Many legends are related to those countries who have conquered Estonia. For example, Danish, Russia and Germany. There are many legends of tallinn. For example Linda's rock, Old Thomas, Old Man of Ülemiste Lake , St. Olav's Church and Reval. 2 Legend of St. Olav's Church

I couldn't think straight, I was overwhelmed with worry. I heard someone banging on the hatch. I opened it with lightning speed and I saw my sister standing there. "Why are you standing there? Come in, quickly!" I demanded. "Where were you? Where are mum and dad?" I asked anxiously. "I was in the toilet and suddenly I felt the house shaking. I called for mummy but nobody was there. I got scared so I crabbed my Teddy and run here, like I am taught to do." "You did good, you were very brave!" I praised her and gave her a comforting hug. I had to find out where my parents were. I taught my sister how to open and close the shelters' hatch and ordered her to stay there and wait for my return. Again, I swallowed the fear and run. I was headed back to the house, when I heard our dog Bingo howling in his kennel. Instantly I was on my way to save him. I took him into my arms and hurried back to the shelter. My sister was so happy to see me and Bingo, but her face changed.
Moreover, I am even more confused and concerned about the gender roles. A couple of days ago I saw Oprah talk show where there was a man Thomas, who was pregnant. He was born as a woman, but when she was about twenty five, she had the sex change operation but kept his female genitals. So, ten and more years later he was ready to give birth to a baby. Many people present, including Oprah, were tolerant about that and encouraged him, also said that it is very normal and brave thing to do. Thomas got many supporting letters from all over the world and neighbours baked cakes for him and his wife. But I was shocked to the bone by that. Who was he? A man or a woman? He was a man in appearance, but biologically a woman. He considered himself to be a man, but carried out the female social role. I am confused where are we going to end up when everyone starts having this kind of an identity crisis? I just have no idea.

aastal. Kasutusele võeti see esmakordselt 1931. aastal. O say, can you see, by the dawn's early light, What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming? Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight, O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming! And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there: O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave? On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep, Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes, What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep, As it fitfully blows, now conceals, now discloses? Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
Sand often performed her theatrical works in her small private theatre at the Nohant estate. In addition, Sand authored literary criticism and political texts. Her most widely used quote is "There is only one happiness in life, to love and be loved." A few excerpts demonstrate much of what was often said about George Sand: "She was a thinking bosom and one who overpowered her young lovers, all Sybil -- a Romantic." V.S. Pritchett (writer) "What a brave man she was, and what a good woman." Ivan Turgenev (novelist) "The most womanly woman." Alfred de Musset (poet)
She has won the Pulitzer Prize for that book and many other literary awards. Lee began to write "To Kill a Mockingbird" in the 1950s in New York and published it in 1960. Setting The action takes place in Maycomb, Alabama, a town invented by the author. Between 19331935. Maycomb is a quiet little town and many people there seem to be narrow-minded. Main Characters The main characters are Scout, Atticus and Jem. Scout is a little girl, she is intelligent, thoughtful and brave. She definitely seems boy-like because she isn't afraid to fight with boys. Scout also has a warm heart, she always has best intentions and worries about the poor. Jem, Scouts brother, is entering puberty and is not so stable as Scout. There is seen clear progress in Jem's way of thinking during the novel. Atticus is the widowed father of Jem and Scout and also a prominent lawyer. He is respected by everyone. He is also the idol of Scout and Jem because he fights and stands out for justice.
Incredibly strong-willed, Tweety recovered quickly from pneumonia but just a few days later he was injured in a fight with another rabbit and had to go to the vet. With time the injury healed and Tweety enjoyed many happy days playing and relacing with friends. One day the caregivers found Tweety looking very sick again. They rushed him to the hospital where the vets said Tweety would need blood from another rabbit to survive. One of the brave bunnies, bernie, gave the blood that saved Tweety. Although Tweety could not have survived without Bernie´s blood, the vets still did not have much hope as he had too many internal problems. Yet, Tweety seemed to be hanging on, so they waited and hoped for a miracle. After some serious treatment the caregivers brought Tweety home to the farm. A check-up two weeks later showed that his health was improving and his heart was working fine

S. Billboard 200. Between the release of her third and fourth studio albums - This Is Me... Then and Rebirth - Lopez took a break from her music career to focus on acting, starring in the films Maid in Manhattan (2002) and Shall We Dance? (2004). Lopez's Spanish-language album, Como Ama una Mujer (2007), received the highest first-week sales in the United States for a Spanish album. Her commercial success was severely damaged after the release of her sixth studio album, Brave (2007). The set, which showcased a different musical prospective from the singer, failed to attain the success of her previous efforts and removed Lopez from the music scene until 2011, when she became a judge on the singing competition American Idol; this move allowed her to regain media attention and improved her success at charts, with her single "On the Floor", showcased and released during such timespan, becoming a worldwide hit and her best-selling single to date.

empty. His companion was gone as well the horses. The man was seriously scared now, but since he was one of the Royal Solders fear was not allowed to be shown in public. So he drew his half-iron, half-silver sword and decided to go back to the field, but then he thought: "Alec told me to run...It means I mustn`t return to That place anymore...What should I do?" Suddenly the cloudy autumn sky turned red and the rider heard some wild animal roaring. This was unacceptable to his brave lionheart and he ran off to the forest not looking back even once. He wandered pointlessly many hours thinking of his friend whom was taken away by some mysterios beast. "Maybe the Devil really exists?" he whispered anxiously to the trees, but they didn`t give him an answer, they only swayed in the chilly wind. Finally there was light ahead, so the rider thanked the Queen and hurried towards an unexpected destination. He hoped it to be a village or even better a small city
