Granny invited her to a cup of tea. Little Red Riding Hood baked a cake and went to the bus station. Sadly, the bus had already left. Then she thought, that she could walk to her grannys place. He walked throught the woods. In the forest, he noticed berries and went to pick them. After picking berrys, she was tired and fell asleep. When she woked up, she saw a wolf eating her barries, she quickly took her cake and ran to her grandmothers place. She saw granny in the kitchen baking. She quickly told her granny what was happened, granny told him not to worry. Suddenly the doorbell rang. Then the stranger, who rang the doorbell told: ,,there is a mail for you, I am a mailman." Granny opened the door. There wasn't a mailman, that was a wolf. Suddenly the wolf jumped into the house and began to behave outrageously. Granny ran to the second floor and Little Red Riding Hood knew that she was now left alone. She began running through

Christmas in Australia Christmas in Australia is often very hot. Whereas the northern hemisphere is in the middle of winter, Australians are baking in summer heat. It is not unusual to have Christmas Day well into the mid 30 degrees Celsius, or near 100 degrees Fahrenheit. A traditional meal includes a turkey dinner, with ham, and pork. A flaming Christmas plum pudding is added for dessert. In the Australian gold rushes, Christmas puddings often contained a gold nugget. Today a small favor is baked inside. Whoever finds this knows s/he will enjoy good luck. Another treat is Mince Pies.

Illegal Drugs When people talk about the "drug problem," they usually mean abusing legal drugs or using illegal drugs, such as marijuana, ecstasy, cocaine, LSD, crystal meth and heroin. Cocaine is a white powder that comes from the dried leaves of the coca plant that is found in South America. Crack cocaine is a form of the drug that gives a very quick, intense high. Crack is made by cooking cocaine powder with baking soda, then breaking it into small pieces called rocks. It got its name because it crackles when it is heated and smoked. Heroin comes from the opium poppy, a flower that grows in Asia, Mexico, and South America. Pure heroin is a white powder that tastes really bad. Some heroin is dark brown, and black tar heroin is either sticky or hard and looks like roofing tar. Ecstasies are tablets of different shapes, size and color (often white) which are swallowed.

Marijuana is a mild hallucinogen that can also act as a depressant or a stimulant. Many people

"That was very quick. I'm impressed." "Is my mom all right?" "She's perfectly fine. Don't worry, Bella, I have no quarrel with her. Unless you didn't come alone, of course." Light, amused. "I'm alone." I'd never been more alone in my entire life. "Very good. Now, do you know the ballet studio just around the corner from your home?" "Yes. I know how to get there." "Well, then, I'll see you very soon." I hung up. I ran from the room, through the door, out into the baking heat. There was no time to look back at my house, and I didn't want to see it as it was now -- empty, a symbol of fear instead of sanctuary. The last person to walk through those familiar rooms was my enemy. From the corner of my eye, I could almost see my mother standing in the shade of the big eucalyptus tree where I'd played as a child. Or kneeling by the little plot of dirt around the mailbox, the cemetery of all the flowers she'd tried to grow
