In fact, Ukraine was ranked 32nd in Education on the Legatum Prosperity Index of 104 countries ahead of India, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Brazil, Chile and other popular outsourcing destinations. Ukraine has more than 800 universities and colleges (higher education institutions), over 1,000 IT companies and over 25,000 specialists involved in IT outsourcing. According to Ukrainian Hi-Tech Initiative research, 16,000 IT specialists graduate in Ukraine each year. Only 4,000-5,000 of them are employed in companies that provide professional IT services.
