explanations of the Chinese characters as explained in eight character dictionaries and textbooks. C. S. Peirce sign systems theory is used for describing the morphological space of the Chinese characters. A hypothesis about the possibilities offered by reliable character morphology for explanation of the lexical multivalency of Chinese characters is proposed. Also criteria for judging the quality of available morphological explanations is provided and their shortcomings are being outlined. Finally, as a practical implematation of the above-presented theoretical considerations, a XML database structure with one sample entry for building character database is provided. 5 Eess~ ona K¨aesolevas t¨o¨os uurin hiina kirjam¨arkide morfoloogiat ning selgitan selle kasutusv~oimalusi leksikograafilises kontekstis. Review Of Donald Norman Design Of Everyday Things

Very rarely it happens so that you can pick up a non-fiction book from a concrete field and it will be making almost perfect sense to you even though you're neither working nor educated in that field. Donald Norman's Design of Everyday Things is that kind of book. It reads effortlessly, for the most part, it entertains and for a non-fictional book, that's a rare quality; but most importantly, meanwhile, it educates. DOET, very aptly renamed from Psychology of Everyday Things, while having its shortcomings, goes a great mile towards providing a starting point for newcomers in the field, quite concisely summing up humankind's experiences in design, common errors and best practices, while also providing some scientific basis for many conclusions. Quite notably, Norman's background is in cognitive science and mathematical psychology, which grants him enough of authority to author an endeavor such as this and not be questioned as to what he himself has designed and whether

measure the economic activity and proposes using earnings (EBITDA, or EBIT – earnings before interest and taxes - if the country prefers the latter), but discusses also the benefits of using asset values as the base. It concludes that in many cases determining the market value of land, buildings, and e.g. intellectual property may become too complicated to arrive at reasonable results across different companies in different sectors, therefore preferring the earnings. There are some shortcomings to use earnings as a measure of economic activity – for example in case of a loss- making entity – but there are ways to overcome this by using targeted rules to carry forward (or back) the disallowed or unused interest expense. The definition of earnings is also to exclude income which is subject to favorable tax treatment (i.e dividend income in many countries) to limit its ability to fund tax exempt or tax deferred income.

Discuss the representation of the generation of fathers in Turgenev’s novel “Fathers and Sons”

.. , , - , ". The peasantry is poor and disobedient " ". In chapter 4, it is described that even Nikolais best efforts do not bare fruits " , , ". Witnessing this situation makes Arkdays heart ache perhaps in a way that Turgenev himself felt with the fate of ill-organised estates. Marino's lacklustre management symbolises the futility of the gentry's attempts to modernize - Nikolai stands as the ,,the economic failings of the gentry" (Dunaev: 1983:196). The shortcomings of the Kirsanov management are even more obvious when subtly contrasted with the well-organised Nikolskoe, ran by Odintsova a representative of the new generation. Therefore the sad state of Marino can be seen as a symbol to the ineffective establishment of the gentry, the generation of fathers. Moreover, one of the climaxing issues of the era the liberation of serfs- surfaces in the conversation, and Nikolai, despite adapting the obrok method, is not fully holding modernist

Anthropology and Tourism

Anthropology is human studies – that investigates the past, the present and the future, culture differences and similarities. Haviland, (1999). Nash (1996) also describes that tourism, including adventure tourism, is a part of socio- cultural anthropology studies. These studies are using the term of culture to refer to various activities as tourism does not take place in a vacuum. Nash (1996) highlights, that anthropology of tourism includes in itself linkages or shortcomings between social life and culture. Taylor (1871) defines culture as a whole complex, which includes knowledge, belief, art, law, 1 Anthropology of Tourism Madli Tuvike morals, custom, and any other capabilities and habits acquired by man as a member of society. Nash (1996) summarized that culture is a system of activities for a group. It can be argued that,

However, in their attempted explanations, characters frequently refer to their (pre-communist and, more recent, communist) past as the Á ultimately essentialist Á cause of their strength and also of their weakness and `shortcomings'. In so doing, they offer their own, ready-made cliche´ s about themselves fully contributing to their own stigmatization. As the travellers also notice, the characters' transcribed discourses are frequently apologetic, self-critical, self-deprecating, and inferiority-ridden

Remedy – a successful way of dealing with a problem Legal system – the organizations and people who work in the area of law Funding – money given by a government or organization for an event or activity Legal services are a system that provides help in matters concerning law. Lawyers are often reluctant to establish their offices in deprived areas, as a result there is an unmet need for legal services – many people with legal problems don’t get any advice at all. To remedy these shortcomings there are many publicly funded institutions that offer advice for free. These institutions often deal with housing, employment, immigration and consumer problems. For a fair legal system it is important that no one is denied legal services because he cannot afford to pay for them. For that the state provides funding which provides access to legal services to people who could not afford it otherwise. These services are categorized as legal

kinship and solidarity. Their powerful inner strength emerged in the silent but unshakeable love 2 towards nature, their equal kinsmen and, above all, towards their own home. Among the first composers to derive inspiration from native folk sources was Juhan Aavik. His Estonian Rhapsody (1930) is an orchestral fantasy, developed from three folk tunes. There are shortcomings lessening the favourable general impression: scant contrast between themes, use of variations rather than symphonic development, rather simple harmonic devices and loose form. Nevertheless, the Rhapsody is melodious, colourful and easily acceptable to a musically undemanding audience. Aavik made use of folk tunes in all his symphonic works. He did not strive towards originality or invoking deep emotion. The composer is a born lyricist. His

substantially in 2009 and 2010 and recovered only in 2011. That is largely due to Belarus's structural economic indicators, the low amount of foreign borrowing, the country's aspiration to maintain the prevailing level of production and employment at all costs, an active social policy, the issue of loan bonds to prop up the economy, Russia's financial support and a few other factors. However, the key economic shortcomings were not fully eliminated, and consequently they (together with other factors) somewhat worsened the economic situation, leading to a new crisis wave (the local "currency" crisis) from March to October 2011. The economic situation worsened largely due to the large balance of payments deficit, a reduction and restriction of foreign financing sources and a lack of inflow of foreign currency in early 2011. All that sharply reduced the international reserves of the National Bank of the

(2000), where the sub-theories are integrated together in purpose to accomplish a comprehensive theory of production (see chapter 2). Traditional management only focuses on the transformation view, as described below. At the same time, management theory consists of sub-concepts for ,,planning, ,,execution and ,,control of a production system. Koskela and Howell (2004) argue that the practice of construction management suffers from the three following shortcomings: The role of planning is not logically defined, and short-term planning is normally poorly carried out or simply neglected. Execution is not managed efficiently. In other words, action is taken on tasks pushed by the plan without considering real conditions, as higher level plans are translated into short-term plans and then into action. 15
