Italy

The tradition handed down seven kings: Romulus, Numa Pompilius, Tullus Hostilius, Ancus Marcius, Tarquinius Priscus, Servius Tullius and Tarquinius Superbus. In 509 BC, the Romans expelled the last king from their city and established an oligarchic republic. Rome (italy, lat. Roma) is the capital of Italy and Rome the largest city in Italy. It is located near the Italian west coast, along the Tiber River. Rome, also known as the "eternal city" (lat. Urbs aeterna), is almost 3,000 years old and has a long history as the capital of the Roman Empire, the Catholic Church, the United Kingdom and the present Italian Republic. In the Rome there is another country named The Vatican State. Pictures of Italy and Rome https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italy Used sources https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rome

Due to thermal effects it oscillates annually by a few millimetres east and west. 6 PICTURES The Palace of Westminster, the Clock Tower and Westminster Bridge Buckingham Palace as it appeared in the 17th century Big Ben is in the Clock Tower 7 SUMMARY

Charlie Chaplini elulugu

Charlie Chaplin Charlie Chaplin was born in London on 16th April, 1889. Both his parents were music hall entertainers and Charlie started appearing on the stage while still a child. His father, Charles Chaplin, deserted the family and eventually died of alcoholism. His mother, Hannah Chaplin, found it increasingly difficult to find work on the stage and in 1895 the family entered the Lambeth Workhouse. When he was sixteen Chaplin won the part of Billy in a West End production of Sherlock Holmes. He later joined Fred Karno's music hall revue. While touring the United States in 1913 Chaplin was discovered by the film producer Mack Sennett. Over the next couple of years Chaplin made a series of short slapstick films for Sennett's Keystone Company. In these films Chaplin developed a character that wore baggy pants, tight frock coat, large shoes on the wrong feet and a black derby hat. By his thirteenth film, Caught in the Rain (1914), Chaplin

in Estonia to the German Teutonic Order; Toompea became the seat of German-born gentry. A fortified wall was built between the Toompea (the Upper Town) and the Lower Town (inhabited by people of a lower social standing), as there were conflicts between the two. The doors and the gates of the wall were locked at night, a procedure which carried on until the end of the 19th century. Tallinn joined the German-dominated Hanseatic League in 1285 and became a junction of trade between East and West: furs, honey, leather and seal fat moved west, while salt, cloth, herring and wine moved 'in the opposite direction. As salt was an important trading commodity, Tallinn is said to have been built on it. Its geographical position was very favourable, with its wide bay protected by the two outlying islands of Aegna and Naissaar; it proved a suitable place for a large port. By the 12th century there were already six inland trade routes leading to the port, which was often visited by foreign ships.

Laiema avalikkuse ette jõudis Koit Toome 1995. aasta alguses koos Sirli Hiiusega, kellega moodustati duo Code One. Laulude koostamisest

Political parties in the US

Today, the United States has two major political parties. One is the Democratic party, which evolved out of Thomas Jefferson's party. The other is the Republican party, which was formed by people in the states of the North and West, such as Abraham Lincoln, who wanted the government to prevent the expansion of slavery into new states then being admitted to the union. Most Americans today consider the Democratic party the more liberal party. Democrats believe the federal government and the state governments should be active in providing social and economic programs for those who need them, such as the poor, the unemployed or students who need money to go to college. Republicans are not necessarily opposed to such programs

Since independence, improving air and sea transport links with Western Europe and Estonia's accession to the European Union have made Tallinn easily accessible to tourists. SIGHTSEEING The main attractions are in the two old towns, Lower Town and Toompea, which are both easily explored on foot. Eastern districts around Pirita and Kadriorg are also worth visiting and the Estonian Open Air Museum near Rocca al Mare, west of the city, preserves aspects of Estonian rural culture and architecture. KADRIORG This is 2 kilometres east of the centre and is served by buses and trams. The former palace of Peter the Great, built just after the Great Northern War, now houses (part of) the Art Museum of Estonia, presidential residence and the surrounding grounds include formal gardens and woodland. fashion, and dance styles. The white people thought of R&B as black music during the 1940's and early 50's. It has the single greatest influence on music worldwide for most of the 20th century. Its influence can be traced in forms of rock music, country, gospel, jazz even Nigerian Juju -a style of dance music. So it included many different musicstyles and because of that it likes many different humangroups. Rhythm and Blues was started in the South, but later moved to Midwest, Northeast, and West Coast cities due to the shift in American demographics, after World War II. One of two significant developments, which occurred that had an effect on R&B was the invention of the Magnetic Tape, the other was the formation of broadcasting companies. Over the decades, thanks to different artists and their styles, R&B has evolved into what it is today. My favourite R&B aritsts are Kelly Rowland, LeToya, Beyonce, Lauryn Hill, Mario and Usher.
