Pärnu Hansa days
Pärnu Hansa days take place every june and during four days. Reason for celebrating is, that people can go back in time, and do same things, as it was in the Middle Ages .
Days before the festival , organisers have to register sellers , who are going to sell their Middle Ages products. Also, there is a lot of job with searching good musicians and entertainers. On the top of this, it takes lot of time to bring all stages and tables to the festival

Estonian holidays, festivals, cultural events

Holidays, Festivals, Cultural events TALLINN - If you're looking for entertainment in Estonia this summer, you are really spoiled for choice. Festivals and events dedicated to the consumption of beer are a lot of fun, but if you want to get the true feel of the country, you need something a little more ethnic. Like a town fair. Just as July becomes August, the seaside town of Haapsalu will host a grand spectacle of rural Estonian entertainment. The White Lady Days is a summer celebration filled with amusement for all the family. Held in and around the remains of the Teutonic-knights-era castles, the fair combines enchanting medieval legends with modern countryside charm to create a comprehensive experience of Estonia beyond the big cities. But the legend of the White Lady of Haapsalu, which is at the heart of the festival, is perhaps the most famous tall tale of the many that are so abundant in Estonia's folklore.

ENGLISH TOPICS - palju teemasid inglise keele riigieksami kordamiseks

The weather on the British Isles has a bad reputation. It is very changeable and fickle. The British say that there is a climate in other countries, but we have just weather. If you don't like the weather in England, just wait a few minutes. It rains very often in all seasons in Great Britain. Autumn and winter are the wettest. The sky is usually grey and cold winds blow. On the average, Britain has more than 200 rainy days a year. The English say that they have 3 variants of weather: when it rains in the morning, when it rains in the afternoon, and when it rains all day long. Sometimes it rains so heavily, that they say «It's raining cats and dogs». Britain is known all over the world for its fogs. Sometimes fogs are so thick that it's impossible to see anything within a few meters. The winter fogs of London are, indeed, awful; they surpass all imagination

Health

Doctors could not do their job without the help of many skilled professionals. Nurses, for example, work closely with doctors in the clinics, hospitals, and medical centres, Nurses also provide many services to patients independent of doctors. Various kinds of therapists give special treatments as ordered by the doctor, other skilled workers serve in clinics, medical laboratories, X-ray departments and operating theatres. 8. Ways of keeping health There's a lot of discussion these days about fitness. Being fit is a way of saying a person eats well, gets a lot of physical activity (exercise), and has a healthy weight. If you're fit, your body works well, feels good, and can do all the things you want to do, like run around with your friends. So - being fit means being healthy. There are some rules to live by, if you want to have good health. Eat a variety of foods, especially fruits and vegetables. Without food, nothing can live

FAMILY tööleht

” In the Middle Ages most people got married in June because they took their yearly bath in May, and so they still smelled pretty good in June. However, since they were starting to smell, brides carried a bouquet of flowers to hide the body odour. · The bride is traditionally given a decorative horseshoe, to be worn on her wrist or. This item was given for good luck, and although it is rare to use an actual horseshoe at present, in the old days it was commonplace! · Another fantastic tradition, still followed today, is to follow this Victorian rhyme on the day of one’s wedding: “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a silver sixpence in her shoe.” The bride was to wear each and every one of these items during her ceremony, as a way of bringing good luck for her and her husband-to-be.

Steve Krug-Dont Make Me Think 2014

Give me a good old root canal over writing any day.) So why now, finally, a new edition? Two reasons. #1. Let’s face it: It’s old There’s no doubt about it at this point: It feels dated. After all, it’s thirteen years old, which is like a hundred years in Internet time. (See? Nobody even says things like “in Internet time” anymore.) Most of theWebpages I used for examples, like Senator OrrinHatch’scampaign site for the 2000 election, look really old- fashionednow. Sites these days tend to look a lot more sophisticated, as you might expect. www.orrinhatch.com1999 www.orrinhatch.com2012 RecentlyI’vebeenstartingtoworrythatthebookwouldfinallyreachapoint where it feltsodated that it would stop being effective. Japanese festivals

Some are so different that they do not even remotely resemble the original festival despite sharing the same name and date. There are also various local festivals (e.g. Tobata Gion) that are mostly unknown outside a given prefecture. It is commonly said that you will always find a festival somewhere in Japan. Matsuri is the Japanese word for a festival or holiday. In Japan, festivals are usually sponsored by a local shrine or temple, though they can be secular. There is no specific matsuri days for all of Japan; dates vary from area to area, and even within a specific area, but festival days do tend to cluster around traditional holidays such as Setsubun or Obon. Almost every locale has at least one matsuri in late summer/early autumn, usually related to the rice harvest. Notable matsuri often feature processions which may include elaborate floats. Preparation for these processions is usually organized at the level of neighborhoods, or machi. Prior to these,
