Healthy Life I do not workout. I just do not have time for that and I do not have a mind to do workout sometimes. My way to workout is to play basketball, 90 minutes PE classes once a week and walk with my dog. In summers, I usually watch soccer on television and sometimes play basketball. My mother, father and sister are completely opposites of me. My sister practices swimming and soccer three times a week, including she rides with a bike. My mother bought herself a fitness machine; she uses it twice a week. My father also goes to fitness centre, rides with a bike and runs three times a week. In our family there is only me, who workout with my brain instead to do physical exercises. In addition, my grandparents are not capable to workout; they are too old for that as they say. In my family, many people do different
Do you consider yourself more functionalist or more conflict theorist? Please explain why? Functionalism and conflict theory are very different views of society, but they are not exactly opposites. Both have arguments, that make people think about the society they live in and both have theorists who critize each other. In my opinion, none of the theories are completely wrong but I do tend to agree with people on the conflict theory side. Firstly, functionalism ignores inequality and focuses too much on the positive functions in society. For example racism, functionalists will say that it must be imporant in order to exist as long as it has but in my opinion that sounds quite doubtful
holidays? Classmate: I think so. If you take a look at a wardrobe of an average Estonian, it may consist of 20 different shades of black and grey. Estonians wear warm clothes when it's 25 degrees Celsius in April just because it's April, or wear shorts and t-shirts when it's barely 10 degrees in July just because it's July. The old habit of being "fashionably late" is no longer acceptable. One is always on time. However Estonians become complete opposites of themselves when they get drunk. They talk, laugh, kiss and hug non-stop! Although, Estonians have many good habits which other cultures may not have. Estonian people love and cherish their culture and history. They hold massive dance and song festivals every year. Estonians also love to work and are very purposeful and diligent at what they do. They are good friends and can be very supportive when you are in need.

Valentini exhibits a virility to rival Rinaldi's as well as a bold competence that makes him the best surgeon. Similarly, during the scene in which Henry fires his pistol at the fleeing engineering sergeants, Bonello takes charge of the situation by brutally shooting the fallen engineer in the head. The respect with which Hemingway sketches these men, even at their lowest points, is highlighted by the humor, if not contempt, with which he depicts their opposites. The success of each of these men depends, in part, on the failure of another: Rinaldi secures his sexual prowess by attacking the priest's lack of lust; Dr. Valentini's reputation as a surgeon is thrown into relief by the three mousy, overly cautious, and physically unimpressive doctors who precede him; and Bonello's ruthlessness is prompted by the disloyal behavior of the soldier whom he kills.

many intermediate or alternative points of view. However, polarity is a real phenomenon in human relationships and an important engine of conflict in storytelling. Characters in relationships strongly tend to become polarized as part of their process of growing and learning through conflict. Polarity follows certain rules, and good storytellers instinctively exploit them for their dramatic potential. THE RULES OF POLARITY I . OPPOSITES A T T R A C T T h e first rule of polarity is that opposites attract. A story is in some ways like a magnet with its mysterious, invisible power of attraction. Two magnets, p r o p erly aligned, with the south pole of one pointed at the n o r t h pole of the other, will strongly attract each other, just as two contrasting characters can be drawn powerfully to one another. T h e clash of their differences attracts and holds an audience's attention.
The magnetic force in a magnet flows from the North pole to the South pole. This creates a magnetic field around a magnet. Have you ever held two magnets close to each other? They don't act like most objects. If you try to push the South poles together, they repel each other. Two North poles also repel each other. Turn one magnet around and the North (N) and the South (S) poles are attracted to each other. The magnets come together with a strong force. Just like protons and electrons, opposites attract. These special properties of magnets can be used to make electricity. Moving magnetic fields can pull and push electrons. Some metals, like copper have electrons that are loosely held. They can be pushed from their shells by moving magnets. Magnets and wire are used together in electric generators. 7.4 Batteries produce electricity A battery produces electricity using two different metals in a chemical solution. A
Rhythmic inquietude and “floundering” is alien to Aavik. The vivid feeling for the timbre colours must be felt. The whole work is simple in its architecture, the themes and their developed, qualitatively renewed repetitions stand out as building blocks. Aavik is not very strong as a dramatist, his natural element is in different forms of lyricism. His conception needs dramatic and tragic expression, and he wants to offer it, but the tensions in his music do not grow from the antagonism of opposites. They are introduced with new themes (Finale). Even with the large amount of Estonian symphonic music this work catches our attention, just with is sincerity and openness of emotion. In its best movements, the composer is uniquely individual. The First Symphony belongs to the treasury of Estonian classical symphonic music. Paying homage to Aavik, Mrs. Juta Kurman stated at the festive concert meeting in the New York Estonian House in January, 1979:
Folded the writ up in form of the other, Subscribed it, gave't the impression, placed it safely, The changeling never known. Now, the next day Was our sea-fight; and what to this was sequent Thou know'st already. HORATIO So Guildenstern and Rosencrantz go to't. HAMLET Why, man, they did make love to this employment; They are not near my conscience; their defeat Does by their own insinuation grow: 'Tis dangerous when the baser nature comes Between the pass and fell incensed points Of mighty opposites. HORATIO Why, what a king is this! HAMLET Does it not, think'st thee, stand me now upon— He that hath kill'd my king and whored my mother, 183 Popp'd in between the election and my hopes, Thrown out his angle for my proper life, And with such cozenage—is't not perfect conscience, To quit him with this arm? and is't not to be damn'd, To let this canker of our nature come In further evil? HORATIO

day; being criticized or ignored make you dejected and unhappy the next. The pleasure of a wild party turns into bleakness and a hangover the next morning. There is no good without bad, no high without low. Ego-generated emotions are derived from the mind's identification with external factors which are of course, all unstable and liable to change at any moment. The deeper emotions are not really emotions at all but states of Being. Emotions exist within the realm of opposites. States of Being can be obscured, but they have no opposite. They emanate from within you as the love, joy, and peace that are aspects of your true nature. THE DUCK WITH A HUMAN MIND In The Power of Now, I mentioned my observation that after two ducks get into a fight, which never lasts long, they will separate and float off in opposite directions. Then each duck will flap its wings vigorously a few times; thus releasing the surplus energy that built up during the fight. After
But it was none of these things that caught, and held, my attention. They didn't look anything alike. Of the three boys, one was big -- muscled like a serious weight lifter, with dark, curly hair. Another was taller, leaner, but still muscular, and honey blond. The last was lanky, less bulky, with untidy, bronze-colored hair. He was more boyish than the others, who looked like they could be in college, or even teachers here rather than students. The girls were opposites. The tall one was statuesque. She had a beautiful figure, the kind you saw on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, the kind that made every girl around her take a hit on her self-esteem just by being in the same room. Her hair was golden, gently waving to the middle of her back. The short girl was pixielike, thin in the extreme, with small features. Her hair was a deep black, cropped short and pointing in every direction. And yet, they were all exactly alike
tionists that the administration had committed an overt act that had forced the Japanese hand. Japanese interception of a scrambler warning might thus have sent the country to war divided. So Marshall shunned the scrambler telephone and relied on the slightly slower but much more secure method of enciphering a written message. As he was completing the message, Stark called him back. He had reconsidered and wanted Marshall to add the usual admonition to show the message to the naval opposites. Marshall added: "Inform naval authorities of this communication." Stark offered the Navy communication facilities, but Marshall said that the Army's could get the message out as quickly. Marshall gave the message to Bratton to take it to the War Department message center for transmission to the commanding generals in the Philippines, Hawaii, the Caribbean, and West Coast, after vetoing a suggestion that it be typed first. As Bratton was leaving, Gerow
