Are men better directors than women ?

Name: Chlen Zhopov Subject: Essay Are men better directors than women ? It is common that top executives in big companies are mostly men. But does that necessarily mean that women are not suitable for such responsible, effort and leadership demanding jobs? I do not think so. First of all, I would like to say that this tradition is coming not only from history, but from evolution. In nature, masculine representatives of most species are stronger, more agile and aggressive than feminine representatives, because their biological function is to be the main breadwinners and defenders of their families, while females' main functions are to distribute that bread within the family, raise, feed and look after the progeny. Of course there are exceptions like lions (lionesses do hunting which ensures food for their families), seahorses (males bear the

like every proper luxury car should have. But Rolls Royce is not only known for their luxurious silky smooth ride. They also are known for their performance. These massive road cruisers can even reach speeds up to 260 km/h! What makes Rolls Royce really stand out, is that all of their models share same distinctive features, which other luxury cars do not have. First of all, all Rolls Royce automobiles are very masculine looking. They have large front end with a distinctive grille, that just looks simply astonishing. These cars just radiate AUTHORITY. In fact, workers spend 5 hours polishing the front grille alone to make it stand out. One of the most beautiful features is The Spirit of Ecstasy. It is shaped in form of a woman leaning forward with her arms outstretched behind and above her. Billowing cloth runs from her arms to her back, resembling wings. It can even be covered in gold.

the couple. In the end of the book she gives Mable and Jack their first grandchild. I believe that this happened so that the couple would feel a little bit happy and blessed, even though the girl Fauna never really was their biological child. The main characters, Jack and Mable, are very humble and loving. I felt like Mable was a bit more emotional and complicated than Jack. She was very naive in a way. Jack, on the other hand, was a very masculine type. He was a hunter and had a very strong character. He was responsible for the survival. They both completed each other. In my opinion the book was very enchanting and beautiful. The way the author describes Alaska, is very magical, because she has lived there her whole life. When I was reading the book I felt like I had been to Alaska, the writer really knows how to use the right adjectives to make the reader feel the cold and dark Alaskan winter. In

(informal and singular) Notice that Spanish has informal and formal ways of speaking. This is because there is more than one meaning to "you" in Spanish (as well as in many other languages.) The informal you is used when talking to close friends, relatives, animals or children. The formal you is used when talking to someone you just met, do not know well, or someone for whom you would like to show respect (a professor, for example.) Encantado, cansado, enfermo, and aburrido are the masculine forms of the words. If the words refer to a woman or are spoken by a woman, then the final o changes to a: encantada, cansada, enferma, and aburrida In Spain, as well as Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela, the Spanish language is called castellano instead of español. 2. distinguishes them from polytheists. Muslims believe that parts of the previously revealed scriptures, the Tawrat (Torah) and the Injil (Gospels), had become distorted--either in interpretation, in text, or both. God Islam's fundamental theological concept is tawhd--the belief that there is only one God. The Arabic term for God is Allh; most scholars believe it was derived from a contraction of the words al (the) and ilh (deity, masculine form), meaning "the God" (alilh), but others trace its origin to the Aramaic Alh. The first of the Five Pillars of Islam, tawhd is expressed in the shahadah (testification), which declares that there is no god but God, and that Muhammad is God's messenger. In traditional Islamic theology, God is beyond all comprehension; Muslims are not expected to visualize God but to worship and adore him as a protector. Although Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet, they reject the Christian

Besides research vodka and stay late?" His lips pursed a moment as he thought about it. "Jot this down..." We worked straight through lunch and long after the office had emptied, going over some initial data from the strategists. It was a little after seven when Mark's smartphone rang, startling me with its abrupt intrusion into the quiet. Mark activated the speaker and kept working. "Hey, baby." "Have you fed that poor girl yet?" demanded a warm masculine voice over the line. Glancing at me through his glass office wall, Mark said, "Ah...I forgot." I looked away quickly, biting my lower lip to hide my smile. A snort came clearly across the line. "Only two days on the job, and you're already overworking her and starving her to death. She's going to quit." "Shit. You're right. Steve, honey-" "Don't `Steve honey' me. Does she like Chinese?" I gave Mark the thumbs-up. He grinned. "Yes, she does."

In this type of writing character and characterization are more than usually important, and they often delve deeper into the mind of a character than novels of other genres. Violence and alienation as part of Zeitgeist. In McEwan's early fiction, in his strange, experimental short stories and novellas, with their isolated, sexually deviant male protagonists, he wrote from the outside in, as it were. His was always the controlling intelligence, aggressively masculine, and he followed his young male protagonists less in thought than in action, detailing their psychosis and alienation with the cold detachment of a coroner examining a corpse. McEwan's cruellest book, the one in which the violence seems most gratuitous and nasty, is The Comfort of Strangers (1981), his novella about a young British couple adrift in an autumnal Venice of shadows and fear that marked a point of transition for him: after this, and a long period of

Others, however, picked topics less offensive to the autocrat. Nikolay Karamzin, 17661826, for example, is known for his advocacy of Russian writers adopting traits in the poetry and prose like a heightened sense of emotion and physical vanity, considered to be feminine at the time as well as supporting the cause of female Russian writers. Karamzin's call for male writers to write with femininity was not in accordance with the Enlightenment ideals of reason and theory, considered masculine attributes. His works were thus not universally well received; however, they did reflect in some areas of society a growing respect for, or at least ambivalence toward, a female ruler in Catherine the Great. This concept heralded an era of regarding female characteristics in writing as an abstract concept linked with attributes of frivolity, vanity and pathos. Some writers, on the other hand, were more direct in their praise for Catherine II. Gavrila

There may be some masculine bias built into the description of the hero cycle since many of its theoreticians have been male, and I freely admit it: I'm a man and can't help seeing the world through the filter of my gender. Yet I have tried to acknowledge and explore the ways in which the woman's journey is different from the man's.
