Brighton Brighton is a seaside town on the south coast of England. It is a very popular holiday destination. Brighton was a tiny fishing village. It grew into a town when the railway opened. There were no big houses, shopping centers or hotels, only small fishermen's cottages. Children played in the streets or made sandcastles. People used to swim in the sea or go for walks on the beach. Brighton is not a small quiet town anymore. Now you can find many 5-star hotels, cinemas, restaurants and small cafes by the marina. Brighton also offers a lot of people interested of history. They can also visit a lot of museums and antique shops. Nowadays, most tourists visit Brighton for a relaxing break in a seaside resort

Dear Sir/Madam I'm writing to ask for more information about the 'Swedish Dream' holiday which i saw on the internet. Me and my friends are very interested in Sweden and would like to go on this holiday but we would like to ask some more things about the trip. Firstly, i would like to get some more information about the hotels and the cities we are going to visit. I was also wondering if there's going to be a tour guide to talk about the history of Sweden. Could you tell me more about these things? Secondly, I am a little bit worried about my health. Could you send me information about the diseases and health risks in this country, just in case. And i was also wondering if the health insurance is included? I would also like to know if pets are allowed in the hotels as my friend is having dog allergy.
Tourism Tourism is becoming one of the most attractive sectors in many countries in the world. It developes very quikly because people travel a lot and companies invest much money in tourism. It has many benefits but also much can be said against the tourism. Firstly, the main advantage of tourism is that it gives people places to work. For instance hotels, bars and museums. Due to that, the standards of living increases and unemployment decrease. Secondly, many countries depend on the money whick tourism brings. It can help developing countries to become stabled. By attracting people from almost everywhere, the area can get much money in order to develop the other public services such as hospitals and schools. On the other hand, tourism may cause misunderstandings and problems

bring enormous advantages to countries, especially poor ones. It may seem that tourism bring only benefits, but further consideration shows that it also has disadvantages. To start with, tourism offers many benefits. Tourists spend money on local goods and services ,so the area can get much money to develop the other essential public services, for example education and health. Also tourism services such as roads, bars, hotels, restaurants and other leisure facilities are built. Thanks to it, local people can get more jobs. Finally, tourism allows both the tourist and the local community a chance to experience other cultures. However, tourism can pose a threat to the natural environment and so may have bad effect on a country's wildlife. Tourists cause pollution and can damage the environment. What is more big companies are ruining the environment to build new facilities. For example, they cut down the

tourist can go back and start his life there. On the otherhand, unfortunately there are some negative aspects aswell. Firstly, with mass tourism comes pollution. For example, tourist throws carbage on the ground because there are no garbage cans around. Another bad aspect is that tourists disturb wildlife. Hordes of tourists can go to forest and scare wild animals. Last but not least, is that places are spoiled by over-development. In fact, they chop down forest to build hotels and restaurants. In conclusion, there are number of strong points both for and against mass tourism. However, i think that being against mass tourism is more rightful than being in favour of accepting it. employment, service industry and opportunity to sell goods, is related to it. Tourism has also helped to build up certain regions, which otherwise would still be struggling in poverty. Futhermore, to make country desirable destination, governments have to keep crime rate under control, which makes life safer for locals as well. On the negative side, relentless waves of tourists increase our carbon footprint. Transportation increases pollution and creates gridlocks. Often big hotels consume unreasonably large amount of water, while locals are left in dry. And after all, tourist are not the ones who suffer from the effects, locals are. Tourism has its positive and negative sides. It is important part of today's economy, as many countries live of it, but it also has darker side. It is important to remember, that when tourist leave the destination, locals will still be living there.
Have you ever wondered what travelling gives to people? Is it just all about getting away from home or something more? The person who has seen the world has more knowledge about the things going on elsewhere. From a personal standpoint, travelling is one of the ways how to accomplish themselves, for example some people go abroad only with a packback just to see if they could live without fancy hotels and only little cash in their pockets. On the other hand, it might get really hard to get food and shelter but young people like adventures. The second reason, why so many young people travel to other countries is that they want to become an exchange student. This also includes very much travelling and seeing the land. Unfortunately, it might be a sad travel because of missing their family. From a religious and historical point of view, it can be said that travelling can be really

Vaitape is the largest city of island Bora Bora Some of the bigger industries on the island include deep-sea fishing, with exports going mainly to Japan, as well as mother-of-pearl and pearl production. Agricultural practices produce sugar, vanilla, rum, and copra (used to extract coconut oil). Despite all of these activities, tourism is by far the leading economic contributor. The island has several hotels to cater to tourists, including twelve 4 and 5-store places like Club Med, for example. 3 Bora Bora experiences a tropical, humid climate with relatively stable temperatures year- round. For ages people have had a constant urge to travel different and new places. Today tourism is a global multi-billion industry and essential as an income for many countries. What are the pros and cons of it? Should we limit the flow of tourists or let them come and sometimes stay forever? As I mentioned before, one of the most positive thing about tourism is money. Basicly tourists creat jobs and give people a chance to do something with their lives. The money and taxes, that all the hotels and companys pay, help to develop the local community. Tourism is also a reason to keep the crime down and the streets clean of rubbish. As a tourist it is also a way to learn about other cultures. It is possible to go almost averywhere and to do almost everything. As the tsunami few months ago proved can total destruction of tourism-industry be quite devastating to victim-country´s economy. The fact that tourism is the main income of a country may one day become a huge problem
to a completely different country, then they can compare the life in their own country and the country they are visiting. It makes people see how they can enjoy their life more. Visiting other places also is very good for practicing other languages and communicating with people. Some people only travel to learn history of other regions. Some countries have invested a lot of money to tourism. They try to make their country more attractive to tourists by building hotels. airports and tourist attractions. Doing this gets a lot of money to the travelling destination country. When a country wants to keep the tourists visiting their country they have to invest a lot of money and keep their country safe and attractive. On the other hand there are several bad sides on travelling. Some countries might be politically unstable and also dangerous for tourists. Sometimes people can catch a dangerous disease from an
many disadvantages and fortunately some advantages too. The most important advantages of mass tourism are the financial profits. Thanks to tourism local people are employed in various kind of companies which are connected with tourists and their attractions. Local people also get more options how to be more successful in making money because in popular tourist areas they can start their own business, such as, shops, cafes, pubs, hotels, tent camps and so on. In addition, thanks to the money spent by tourists, local authorities have funds to maintain different buildings and places like, for example, libraries or parks and to restore monuments and other objects of histoical value. An additional advantage of mass tourism is mixing of cultures and habits, for example, many different food cultures and clothing styles are spreading all over the world. The main drawbacks of mass tourism are damage of the

About 3.4 million tourists visit Estonia every year, the majority of them come Finland and stay for a short period. Tourists who come for a couple of days also go to the theatre and other places outside Tallinn. The number of tourists from Sweden and Germany is constantly growing. The number of tourists from more distant countries of the European Union, however, has increased most because of the much easier border crossing and an interest in the new member states. Hotels and sanatoriums in the so-called resort areas are usually packed with foreign visitors. Direct proceeds form tourism go to tourist agencies and hotels, numerous travel agencies and catering enterprises. As a sizeable part of tourists visit Estonia primarily for shopping purposes, they provide significant income to the shops as well. cargo shorts, a hawaiian shirt, a huge hat and sunglasses with a camera around their neck and map in hand. That is rather common amongst tourists, wearing what’s comfortable and they’d wear at home and not putting much effort into blending in. Their trips are usually planned to the T, leaving no room for any spontaneous adventures that might come up along the way. They tend to only see the ‘must see’ tourist attractions, stay in a good hotels overall sticking to all the amenities that are similar to home. A traveller however is different. Generally speaking, a person who considers themselves a traveller, will try to immerse in the local culture as much as possible. They make an effort to learn some of the language and speak to locals to find out about the history, traditions and customs of the country. They do this not because they feel like they have to, but because they care and want to
Tourists in Estonia Everyday a we can see a ship-load of Finland tourists. And they are here for only one thing. Finns are not anyone who would like to see Estonian sight-seeings or old-town, they are here for cheap alcohol. Regular Finn are an over-weight and very loud, usually because they are drunk. And our hotels are full of Finns. If you ever visit a passenger-port and see a person who have one or more luggage carriers full of export beer boxes then you have seen our north-neighbour. The Brits Usually here are only British bachelors who want to have a stag party in our pubs. These kind of Brits are very annoying. But here are also nice old Brits, much less than bachelors but still some. Older Brits usually are with cameras and visit all the sightseeing in Tallinn. They look

area of Westminster to the rest of West London. Lord Nelson's column stands in the center of the beautiful square. Horatio Nelson was a great British commander who defeated Napoleon in the Battle of Trafalgar but unfortunately he himself was killed. To the north and west from the Trafalgar Square is the West End, which is London's main shopping and entertainment area. Most of London's best residential and commercial areas are in the West End. You can find there expensive shops, restaurants, hotels, museums and many art galleries. Great Britain's biggest department store is in Knightsbridge. It was founded in 1834 by Charles Henry Harrod. Harrods is also the world's first building with an escalator. Today Harrods is an amazing place with over 330 shops, which includes twenty-six fine eating places, where you can go eat, when hungry. London is the theatre capital of the world and most of its best theatres are in the West End. There are always many fine plays and musicals to see.
