Stalin's Russia: political, cultural

European Jews were killed during the period 1941-1945. Adolf Hitler's Nazi regime and it's collaborators were behind the genocide which took place throughout the Nazi Germany and other German- occupied territories. concentration camps (extreme work under starvation condition) & extermination camps (mass executions, primarily by gassing). THE DENIAL OF THE HOLOCAUST `'Holocaust denial'' negates the established facts of the happenings in the holocaust. There is an assumption by deniers that if they can just find one tiny crack in the Holocaust structure, it can all be disproved. But the holocaust is not a single event that a single fact can prove or disprove. The holocaust was a collection of events that took place in several locations. The evidence is built up on several pieces of data that agree on one conclusion. THE DENIAL OF THE HOLOCAUST There are written documents, eyewitness testimonies,

a girlfriend, travel to the Netherlands to meet Hazel’s favourite author and much more. Unlike any other teenage-cliche movie it has a tragic, tearful ending, that makes a reader realize and value the existance of her or his own loved ones in life. What author John Green has managed to achieve is the realistic description of heroic cancer figthers with all the ups and downs of a teenage person. The book is full of witty humor, heartbreaking happenings, making a reader laugh, cry and smile again within only 313 pages. I thoroughly recommend this book!

If I were the Minister of Education in Estonia

Firstly, I would rather spend our money on building schools and purchasing new equipment for teaching, than wasting it on our tough national examinations, because there are a lot of schools that would need a new building. Secondly, English would be taught as a second language at schools. It must be a compulsory subject, because most of the world's population is talking English. I would have all the textbooks revised so that they would be updated with latest happenings and etc. Especially history, because we are learning from textbooks that are missing a lot of information that has been discovered after the book was printed. Also I would change most of the subjects for optional, that students can choose the best subjects for them. I think that the absences wouldn't be so punishable by the school, because I think it's your own choice if you go to school or not, just like in universities. There should be more e-learning lessons,

All forms of media

All forms of Media Assuming you mean Broadcast Media, the single most important function of Media is to report events as they are happening. The advantage of this is that more people can be informed and therefore involved in the happenings of the day. But like any other facet of life these wonders can be corrupted by those with their own agenda. That is to say that a news agency can choose to omit some things from their broadcast to place a particular "spin" on the events. Using 9-11 as an example: Everyone saw the planes crash into the buildings but none REALLY knows why this happened. Same with the assignation of JFK. Information can be repressed or expounded to create misinformation that leaves us all wondering why.

the 19th century. The American industrialist Alexander Leith bought the castle in 1885. It was sold to the National Trust for Scotland in 1984 by his descendants. The castle (like many Scottish castles) is said to be haunted. A story is told that in 1920 during renovation work the skeleton of a woman was discovered behind a bedroom wall. On the day the remains were laid to rest in Fyvie cemetery, the castle residents started to be plagued by strange noises and unexplained happenings. Fearing he had offended the dead woman, the Laird of the castle had the skeleton exhumed and replaced behind the bedroom wall, at which the haunting ceased.Today, the castle is open to tourists during the summer months. Crookston Castle is located in the Crookston area of south-west Glasgow, Scotland. The castle is located some 5 miles (8 km) south-west of the city centre, and 3 miles (5 km) east of Paisley, overlooking the Levern Water, just before its confluence with the White Cart Water

and needs in different times in their lives. It is important to note that especially in the early childhood years children's pictorial intentions may have little to do with creating a picture meeting the modernist standards of "child art". Their graphic activity is often just one component of a semiotic process in which sounds, gestures, and words carry a significant portion of meaning. In this context, a teacher's ability to accept these images as active happenings rather than as objects to be posted on a day care or primary classroom walls may help children to understand the value of this unique multimodal system of representation and see it as alternative to other pictorial efforts where, in conformity with the deep- rooted tradition of Western art, images are supposed to stand on their own. Similarly, understanding that telling of a dynamic story may require a child to use different pictorial devices than in the case of

Pop Art. Pop Art emerged as an original and irreverent parody of the vulgar imagery and artifacts of the commercial culture. It grew from Action Painting towards objectivity. Use of repetition and the elimination of dramatic climax were favored by the composer John Cage. Rauschenberg and Johns introduced "popular" materials into their art by depicting them or actually incorporating real objects. Pop Art debuted in 1962. The works spanned painting, sculpture and objects of daily use. "Happenings" (improvised semi-dramatic visual spectacles with audience participation) contributed to the Pop culture of the 1960s. The art form is based on the anonymous, mechanized and mass-produced images of advertisements, billboards, comic books and TV. There is a Bibliography and list of useful addresses. I have worked on this text for twenty-five years, with some intervals, paying a lot of attention to the phenomena of cultural life in general. Without this background and the changes in it there would be no new and novel happenings in the Arts. For evaluating the past and present we need a perspective. This perspective cannot be confined to that which is at hand at the present moment: it loses its sense. While examining our present achievements we must not praise them excessively: this may lead to the abasement of the ideal. The essential development of Estonian music has taken place within the past one hundred years. The creation of national symphonic works indicated that a
