Dear Ann, I am writing to you from my new house, that I just moved in yesterday. The house really looks fantastic, it is surrounded with a luxuriant garden. And it's a quiet area, but the best thing about it is that it is less that kilometer from the city center. Inside, the house is nice and comfortable. It has two floors. On the ground floor there is bed-rooms, a living-room, a bathroom with a shower, a dinning-room, a kitchen and a toilet. It is air-conditioned and well-furnished. The living-room is decorated beautifully. Paintings by famous artists are hung on the walls. Upstairs there is my own huge bedroom and bathroom. I hope I'll see you here soon, darling! Yours sincerely, Katrin Agejeva
Dear Mike, How are you? I'm writing to let you know that I think I found the perfect house for you to rent. It's in a really nice location. The address is 32 Beech Lane, Deighton. You have to sign a six-month contract and the rent is 800 pounds per month. The house is really charming outside. It is a 2-storey white wooden detached house. It has a large garden at the front and also a garage. Inside, the house is wonderful! It is fully-furnished and upstairs there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. Downstairs there is a bathroom, living room with an old fireplace and a dining room and a kitchen. Let me know if you like the sound of it. I hope I'll hear from you soon. Love, Mari

establishment of the great plantations of the Virginia tidewater and the estates of eastern Pennsylvania. These colonial landowners built handsome walls and gates, installed superb statuary and fountains, and arranged comfortable seating to give their grounds dignity and distraction. At the same time, New Englanders, too, began to beatify their gardens with elegant fencing, benches, and sundials. The creation of these early furnished gardens marked the beginning of a remarkable but little-known story, the history of American garden ornament. The two hundred years between 1740 and 1940 witnessed the creation of many important American gardens. This book will discuss the origins and development of American taste in terms of the ornament that decorated the grounds of these historic estates. We will consider not only the styles, techniques, materials, and ornaments
My ideal house would be a spacious one. I would like three or four bedrooms, if that would be possible. One of them would be master bedroom, another one would be for guests and the remaining one or two would be nurseries. I would also want my house to have dining room as well as kitchen, a living room, an office and/or library and a pool in the backyard. Generally, the house must be comfortable, if not luxurious, and quite well-maintained. It doesn't have to be fully furnished, as it would be even more exciting to furnish it by myself. However, some basic things like beds, stove and bath should certainly be in their place. As for extras, it would be perfect if the house had a nice lawn in front of it with some bushed shapes, and a little running track somewhere in the plot. I guess that the house that I want would be quite expensive, but I don't mind it, because my home would be my castle and the more comfortable a castle is, the better happier my routine will be.
It takes about 5 minutes by bus and 20 minutes on foot to get my place. Also, the house is located near the Comarket and behind the park. So it does not take much time to go to the shop and you have a very good opportunity to go jogging in the morning. Further, the rent is not expensive, only 800£ a month. Secondly, the house is very nice and spacious. It is a new stone building house or as the owner calls it, a castle. You do not have to worry about furnish, because it is fully- furnished. It has 2 floors and it contains 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Then, it has a large dining room with fireplace, modern fitted large kitchen, central heating, built-in wardrobes and a living room. Also, house has got a driveway as well as garage. In addition, it has a large garden and a patio in the backyard. So, if the weather is good you can make a barbecue and a house warming in the backyard. Finally, that's all for now. I look forward to your opinion. If you want, I can send

It's surrounded by a little garden, in front of the house there are some beautiful roses growing. There is also a back yard suitable for barbecue partyes I know how much you like to cook with Markus, so it's a big pro. From the outside the cottage looks very pretty. It's finished with blue pine and is painted to light-green. It has also a marvelous thatched roof and it really reminds me one of these little elf houses from fairytales. Interior of the house is fully-furnished, it's is very spacious, but still comfortable and cozy. On the ground floor there is a living room decorated with unique lighting fixtures and beautiful wall ornaments. There's also a fireplace. Two bedrooms with a view over the lake are situated on the first floor. There is a sauna with bubble tube on this floor, too. I found it would be a perfect place for spending your Christmas and summer holidays here. Can you only imagine how fun can be the time spent in this beautiful house, being

often fancied up with ribbon and garlands. In ancient times, a coin was broken by a young man and half given to his intended and half for himself. The broken coin represented his intent to return. Burials Early Anglo-Saxon burials are traditionally based on cremation on a prye, with the deposition of corposes in the ground in a pottery container. Later, the unburned body was depodited in a rectangular grave. Graves were also commonly furnished with goods including jewellery, ornaments, brooches, beads, girdle-hangers and weaponry. Pottery and other vessels are sometimes found, as are toilet-sets, knives and amuletic items. Contribution Anglo-Saxon art contributed some distinctive iconographic forms to the artistic mainstream and also stylistic elements. Manuscript painting made a major contribution to the evolution of Romanesque and, ultimately, Gothic art.

but by abruptly violating expected meanings (this was the famous surrealist “jolt”), by entrusting to the hand the responsibility of writing as fast as possible what the head itself ignores (this was automatic writing), by accepting the principle and the experience of a collective writing, surrealism helped secularize the image of the Author. Finally, outside of literature itself (actually, these distinctions are being superseded), linguistics has just furnished the destruction of the Author with a precious analytic instrument by showing that utterance in its entirety is a void process, which functions perfectly without requiring to be filled by the person of the interlocutors: linguistically, the author is never anything more than the man who writes, just as I is no more than the man who says I: language knows a “subject,” not a “person,” end this subject, void outside of the very
A less obvious symbol, might be the use of "midnight" in the first verse, and "December" in the second verse. Both midnight and December, symbolize an end of something, and also the anticipation of something new, a change, to happen. The midnight in December, might very well be New Year's eve, a date most of us connect with change. systems in a hierarchy, rising from the simple and flexible and easily solved to the extensive and hard to solve. The telegraph thus stimulated the invention of many new ciphers and, by reaction, many new methods of crypt-analysis, and compelled their arrangement in a scale of complexity. Many of these ciphers and techniques have become classic and are in use today. Moreover, cryptography still functions through a hierarchy and employs a multitude of special systems. The telegraph thereby furnished cryptography with the structure and the content that it still has. It made it what it is today. All these things have antecedents, and just as the telegraph itself did, so were there precursors of the cryptographic systems that it engendered. One cipher system invented before the telegraph was so far ahead of its time, and so much in the spirit of the later inventions, that it deserves to be classed with them. Indeed, it deserves the front rank among them,

16.5 Sound insulation of wooden buildings The sound insulation of structures that were examined during the study do not meet today’s requirements. During the study, in terms of perception of noise and the loudness of noise in the buildings at night was up to four times greater than that set in the sound insulation recommendations of Estonian standard on sound insulation requirements in buildings EVS 842. The sound insulation of walls may be somewhat higher in the case of furnished apartments than in unfurnished ones, depending on the direct impact of furnishings to the inadequate diffusion of the audio field. There was no confirmation of this during testing because there was no opportunity to carry out experiments in unfurnished apartments. 305 Tests indicated that the sound insulation of walls and ceilings in double-plank-walled apartments is in accordance with INSTA 122 D-class requirements and their
encounter in life is technically ambiguous, in the sense that it has one or more possible if farfetched meanings in addition to the one that would normally be intended by an utterer. Yet we rarely pause to think, or even notice that we are choosing from among a range of possible meanings (not merely filling gaps in an otherwise unique propositional content). How we do this is a deep question, much deeper than that of how we compute . Certainly too deep for this book, though some hints will be furnished in chapter 13. That is semantic pragmatics. In contrast, pragmatic pragmatics takes propositional content for granted, and asks wider questions about the use of sentences in contexts. One and the same sentence with an already fixed propositional content can still be used to do interestingly different things in different contexts. As we shall see in our remaining chapters, there is con- siderably more to producing and understanding language than just grasping
" said her aunt; "a place, too, with which so many of your acquaintances are connected. Wickham passed all his youth there, you know." Elizabeth was distressed. She felt that she had no business at Pemberley, and was obliged to assume a disinclination for seeing it. She must own that she was tired of seeing great houses; after going over so many, she really had no pleasure in fine carpets or satin curtains. Mrs. Gardiner abused her stupidity. "If it were merely a fine house richly furnished," said she, "I should not care about it myself; but the grounds are delightful. They have some of the finest woods in the country." Elizabeth said no more--but her mind could not acquiesce. The possibility of meeting Mr. Darcy, while viewing the place, instantly occurred. It would be dreadful! She blushed at the very idea, and thought it would be better to speak openly to her aunt than to run such a risk
