How can we reduce air pollution levels in our cities?

How can we reduce air pollution levels in our cities? Is our cities a safe place for us? Tons of harmful gases emit to the air everyday. Factories have caused this problem. We need to do something fast before our city doesn`t become deserted. Firstly, we have to create industrial park. It will help to reduce factories in the cities, where a lot of people live. Another solution is to start stricting the laws. If the laws be very strict, then less and less persons will be able to get a license for the new factory. Finally, we should renovate our factories. Modern plant emit less unhealthy gases. This would allow us to start a policy, which will help to clean our environment. In conclusion, there are many ways to make our cities a better place to live. What are the benefits and dangers of building new factories?

What are the benefits and dangers of building new factories? Many successful companies increase their production by building factories. People tend to say it has completly negative effect on them. Do factories affect us unfavourbly or can they also be positive? On the one hand, there are some advantages of building new factories. Firstly, unemployed people get new job. Secondly, country gets huge income from successful company. Next, if factories uses recyclable material, it would save earths resources and also slow down global warming. On the other hand, there are some throwbacks as well. Firstly, companies which do not have experience with factories might produce an enormous amount of air pollution. Secondly, sophisticated combinations need highly educated experts, otherwise failure might cause chemical fires, which may lead to catastrophic disasters. What is more, new factories tend to start with cheap

It could be argued that there are lot of pollution. Pollution is caused by many different companies and factories. Usually the most contaminating factories are manufacturing companies. They should be liable for cleaning up the environment because they cause this pollution. Also they should be financial punished. It is partly true, but it is comprehensible thanks to producing company's pollution into rivers, lakes and seas. There are built many factories near water, like rivers. Life in the future

Life in the future In the domain of technology, robots will have replaced people in factories. Many factories already use robots. Big companies prefer robots- they do not ask for pay rises or go on strike, and they work 24 hours a day. By 2050, we will see robots everywhere- in factories, schools, offices, hospitals, shops and homes. In the 2050 every human have an opportunity to go on space travel, because space travels will cost less. Even the poor people can allow this. Schooling will be much better and cheaper (in the long run) in 2050. The word ,,school" will no longer be in our vocabulary. School will be called a ,,work force". There will be no more textbooks, paper, pens or pencils. Everything will be done electronically. Classes will be conjoyned together

What are the benefits of factory work? A factory is an industrial building where workers manufacture goods or supervise machines processing one product into another. Most modern factories have large warehouses or warehouse-like facilities that contain heavy equipment used for assembly line production. In factory work there are some things why there is good to work, but also some things that are bad. But about the benefits of factory work, I think that the most important benefit is that when you do something so many times, then you get used to doing it right and you don't mess it up. Factory workers have big responsibility about their work, because when

The Industrial revolution began in Britain and within a few decades spread to Western Europe and the United States. changed-steam power, which was used to power factories and transport and allowed for deeper mining.2) Improvement of iron making techniques allowing for vastly higher production levels. . The textile industry was transformed by new machines such as the Spinning Jenny - and factories, again allowing for much higher production at a lower cost. Up to six people share small, cramped dormitories and up to 50 people share one bathroom.  Schools send student workers to these factories to do “internships."  Some factories promise workers a 10- minute break after every two hours of work.  Most workers never have benefited from these promises.  After the work shift, there's another work assembly that lasts 15 minutes.  Even during the 30-minute lunch period, workers must return to the shop floor early to resume production or to attend another meeting. They're not paid for the time spent in these meetings or assemblies.

How can we reduce air pollution level in cities? The air pollution levels are extremely high in cities, but how can people change this situation? Cars and big factories emit lots of deleterious gases into the air, for example carbonic acid gas, cities are not healthy places to live anymore. Firstly, we should using the public transport. Everybody can walk and bicycle instead of driving cars. Vehicles emit a lot of harmful gases into the air. Every family member does not need his or her own car. How to deal with water shortage problems?

Firstly, people need to realise that there are many other people in the world who does not have accessibility to water. We can decrease it by not wasting water on pointless things for example long showers and watering flowers outside the house. By doing this we will economize water and it may be possible for other people to use fresh water as well. Secondly, it is really important to keep the water fresh and clean but many factories let their sewage into the groundwater which can cause a pollution and the lack of fresh water around that area. We can prevent this from not letting the factories do that or insist them on water treatment. On the whole, there are many ways in which we can stop wasting our most valuable resource these were just two simple ways to do it.

How can we reduce air pollution levels in our cities?

Is the air in our cities clean? Unfortunately does not seem like it. Air is getting more polluted every day and we are constantly breathing that air. We need to do something fast before it is too late. Firstly, there is too much traffic in the city centre and cars emit bad fumes. A good idea would be to introduce parking and riding schemes. In this way there will be fewer cars in the city centre and in longer perspective air will get a lot cleaner. Another problem are factories polluting the air. There are so many factories that there is always smoke covering the city. It would help if we could create industrial parks. In this way less smoke will cover the city. Also a big issue is rubbish being burned. It would be a good idea to introduce a recycling scheme. In result less rubbish will get burned. In conclusion, there are many ways to make our cities cleaner. We all need to do whatever we can and stop blaming other people

Most needed professions in 21st century in Estonia

The main reason for that might be that the studies take a lot of time, sometimes about 10 years, which means that we can start working at the age of 28 to 30. Another reason could be that doctors are in my opinion very often underpaid and with that comes up another problem. In hope to get bigger salaries they often go abroad leaving our small independent country without highly qualified doctors. Secondly, nowadays our environment is more and more connected to technology. A lot of factories are using more robots and sundry machines that help factories to speed up their producing rates. For those machines to work we need men or women who are qualified enough to program very complex programs that make those machines work. In conclusion every one of us should seriously think of going to the university because Estonia is in desperate need of highly qualified citizens.

I'd like to present the main issues of our planet and today i'll name 5 of them. These are air pollution, water pollution, endangered animals, deforestation and rubbish. Air pollution Firstly, lets talk about air pollution, which endangeres our life in cities and also the forests near by. Cars and factories blow poisoned gas in the air and it mixes with the oxygen, so the air that we breathe, becomes dangerous to our health. The ozone layer around the Earth, there is a special type of oxygen called ,,ozone". Ozone is important because it stops ultraviolett radiation from the sun. Many aerosol sprays and factories destroy ozone and they have made a very big hole in the ozone layer. This means that too much ultraviolet radiation now enters the Earth

Many things that are thrown away can be recycled, but some of the people aren't aware of that. They throw things away which may be dangerous for nature. Another solution is to use more buses and bicycles. Every family member doesn't need his/her own car. When you move more in fresh air, you will feel better yourself, your health will be better and you will reduce air pollution levels. Finally, big-factory owners should pay attention where they build on their factories. I think that it is very important that they don't build them in the middle of cities. The pollution twhat comes from the factories is bigdrastic. In conclusion, there are many ways to make our cities' air pollution levels lower. We all need to do what we can. As the old proverb says "To make things better, you should start with yourself". You address the propts given in the textbook, but in a rather vague way. study space, they tried to make sense of the universe with the help of religion. Luckily thanks to the great interest in the subject, the first manned spaceflight happened on April 12, 1961 by the Soviet Union, with cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin aboard. Travelling in space could become very important and useful for people on earth in case something happens to our planet. Many things could happen since humans are taking advantage of earth's natural resources like oil and building dangerous factories that produce toxic waste. With space travel we could find planets that have the material to replace our resources and maybe get rid of the toxic waste we no longer have room here. Besides that, a war could break out involving majority of the countries which would lead to total destruction and it might be harder to rebuild the society here than to move to another planet that is not damaged. On the other hand, the money and time we would spend on space

shale blocks were built, it would cost 3473 million EEK in a year per capita. On the other hand, if wind power were renewed in similar amount, it would cost only 868 million EEK per capita in a year. It means that if the wind power were renewed, it would be 17 370 millions EEK cheaper. The fact that wind energy saves resources and produces neither dangerous emissions nor toxic waste is also in favour of wind energy. Power from oil shale In the time when many world countries close factories that use fossil fuels, Estonia is starting to build new factories that work with oil shale. Taxpayers pay subsidy for oil shale in every year unconditionally the amount electricity produced and also when it is known that this source of energy has no perspective. Even a small country like Estonia can make difference. Our capital city is fighting against air pollution. But people produce much refuse and ways of recycling are getting old. Water pollution is also a problem in Estonia. We have factories that let their waste run into rivers. One of the biggest problems in Estonia is air pollution. Our air is polluted by exhaust fumes, because today we have a lot of cars, buses and other machines. In 2009 we had 407 cars to thousand inhabitants, which is lower than European Union average, but this number is still high. Because cars produce gases that contain carbon dioxide. This carbon dioxide in the air causes global warming, which is the result of the greenhouse effect. Tallinn wants to fight

just make a guess and inference from all I have raed on this theme. Aniline can be dangerous to workers during transport (damage equipment, etc.) Dyes are made from aniline, chemists who are engaged, are at risk of poisoning. Aniline can be absorbed through the skin or by inhalation. Thus, the danger increases. If the worker does not use all the means of protection, it is subjected to greater risk. A large number of workers in chemical. industry (aniline factories) is in danger of aniline poisoning: textile (dyeing and printing), pharmaceutical (manufacturing of neo-salvarsan) and rubber (using aniline as a solvent). At the comfortable aniline factories whole process of getting aniline from start to finish is mechanized, and workers do not have any contact with raw products, semi-finished and finished products, or inhale the fumes. 4/14/2019 Nimetu dokument - Google'i dokumendid Essay In todays society there`s a huge problem with waste and global warming. Many oh those problems come from us not thinking about what our actions do to the environment. Hazardous waste comes from factories that produce stuff that we really don`t need. We use private cars just to go to the supermarket but we could just take the buss or walk wich is much more environment friendly. The one that we do the most is leaving rubbish around that doesn`t turn into compost. We should save energy by just turning off the electic appliances when we don`t use them.

Environmental problems today

Environmental problems today Nowadays we need to stand face to face against the environmental problems in spite of our everyday routine, that may affect the nature. Which are the most problematic environmental problems and how can we avoid them ? To start with, the biggest problem is global warming. The temperature is rising due to air pollution, which is caused by smoke from factories and of rising levels of CO2 . As a result, smog and soot causes health problems. Also, a big problem is deforestation. Due to the fact that it is causing destruction of the rainforest, it contaminates the water. To solve these problems, we certainly should use renewable sources of energy and we need to avoid dangerous gases. For example, we should switch off lights every time when we leave a room. Moreover, we should take public transport more often and stop using CFC's.

History of the USA.

The war ended in 1788 and during the time following it, the Americans bought large pieces of land from foreign countries to themselves, creating a big country. By 1860 America was a big country but there was a big difference between the free North and the slavery South. The biggest problem was the issue of slaves and due to that the Civil War broke out in 1861. President Abraham Lincoln tried hard to unite the country again. Though both sides were strong, the North had more men, more factories and stronger leaders. In 1865 the South accepted the loss. Lincoln was shot in 1865 and the next president wasn't strong enough to unite the country, so problems weren't solved. At the beginning of the 19th century many settlers came to America, in search for a better life. By the middle of the 19th century there were already 34 states in the USA. Secondly, there are lots of banks, company offices and factories where people can work. That is the second reason I think big city life is better than a life in a small village. The Major Environmental Problems in Estonia I would like to talk about the major environmental problems in Estonia. There are many of them but I would like to point out the most important of them: air pollution, huge amounts of waste because of overconsumption and abuse of the natural resources. To begin with, air pollution is a big problem in big cities and in industrial areas. Air pollution is often caused by the exhaust fumes of the cars or by big factories. It affects nature and peoples health causing them breathing problems. Secondly, huge amounts of waste are being produced every day and it is all because of overconsumption. Although, in recent years peoples knowledge about recycling and using eco-friendly products have improved, there are more landfills in Estonia than ever before. The government should take some actions and instead of talking about recession, improve recycling programs.

Over the last hundred years our society has been developing very fast: there has been built a huge amount of different factories, has been made so many inventions in all fields of human activity. Unfortunately only recently we have noticed that by making our life more comfortable and more enjoyable we destroy nature and cause appearance of ozone holes which are directly connected with global warming. The Steam Engine

The Steam Engine By What are they? Steam engines are the first kind of engines to see a widespread use. They were used in the early locomotives, steam boats and factories. In fact they are still used to help run nuclear powerplants. When and by who were they invented and improved? The very first steam engine was built by Thomas Savery in 1698. However, it didn't turn any wheels, instead it pumped water out of coal mines. In 1712 Thomas Newcomen introduced an improved version of Savery's engine. James Watt improved it even further and later came up with an idea on how to use a steam engine to power something with wheels. Alright, but why are they

The importance of college

The importance of college

What is more, a lot of university courses include practical parts and work experience. Having a previous job experience in the field they have chosen, before they actually enter to the job market, is a huge advantage. Moreover, the more connections students collect during their internships, the more options they will have when they begin job search. On the other hand, there are people who believe that higher education is not necessary in order to get a good job. However, although factories and manufacturing were once at the center of our job market, the trend is shifting to jobs in other sectors that require more specific skills. To sum up, I believe that although the idea of going to university may sound intimidating, it is necessary to educate yourself further. After all, in today's competitive job market, the importance of higher education cannot be denied.

The industrial revolution

The industrial revolution The Industrial Revolution, which took place from the 18th to 19th centuries, was a period during which predominantly agrarian, rural societies in Europe and America became industrial and urban. By mid-century, many people worked for small businesses or on farms, laboring in fields that would yield barely enough food to feed the family. New inventions and technology began to change that, however. Larger factories opened and produced new farm equipment, such as the steel plow and the tractor, which allowed farmers to cultivate bigger fields and produce more food that cost much less. Developments in the iron industry also played a central role in the Industrial Revolution. In the early 18th century, Englishman Abraham Darby (1678-1717) discovered a cheaper, easier method to produce cast iron, using a coke-fueled (as opposed to charcoal-fired) furnace. In the 1850s, British engineer Henry

the life of wild animals. Firstly, there is a serious habitat problem because, after pollution or destruction, habitats take many years (sometimes hundreds or even thousands) to grow again. Pollution and destruction change the balance of nature. Each species in a habitat (for example, wood, jungle, marsh or forest) needs and helps the rest. As a result, forests are been cutting down. And what has taken the place of these green, natural places? Houses, farms, cities, streets, roads and factories. Because of this (and pollution, too) several species are dying all over the world. In addition , if one animal, bird or insect disappears, all the others suffer too. And all living beings belong to the circle of life. And when one link is missing, the circle of life can´t function normally. A further problem is hunting. Man has always been a hunter. He still is. But many modern hunters don't just kill for food - they kill for profit. And that´s wrong ! There are, however some solutions

years, almost every family have their own computer and in some countries everyday food is changed with genetically modified food. But how our life can be changed after hundred years? In 2112, we are living in Earth. We are not using air, because after air pollution, it is dangerous for people to breathe it. We are definitely driving with aircrafts, because we ran out of fuel over 50 years ago. Because Earth is very polluted, there isn't any way to grow food. All food is made in factories from plastic and other chemical stocks, so they are not very healthy. Poor people live only about 20 years old, because people get their vitamins and nutrients, to be live, only from chemist's. All cars are converted to aircrafts. Traffic accidents are not so tragic anymore, even though speed is faster and traffic is much more heavier. Everything looks like in Futurama. We are not using telephones,

made halogenated compounds, pesticides, dioxins, chlorinated organic materieals and so on. These compounds are causing deformage in marine animals and are storaged in their fatty tissues. They have also been found in organisms throughout the world oceans because they are dispersed quickly by winds and currents. Another problem that affects the marine life is excess phosphorus and nitrogen flow into the sea from towns, factories and other man-made sources which cause intense algae growth. Algal blooming consumes large amounts of dissolved oxygen and in areas with poorer water exchange the oxygen runs out and living organisms will not survive there. Also, the author points out a problem considering heavy metals which increase the water toxicity. It is estimated that about half of heavy metal inputs to the North and Baltic Seas originate as air pollutants. Heavy metals are indestructible and do not break down. When

The Commonwealth of Australia

The continent of Australia is mostly a great plain with mountains in the east and south-east. The western part of the continent forms a plateau which occupies half of the continent. Australia's greatest rivers are the Murray and the Darling. Australia has several different climatic regions, from warm to subtropical and tropical. There are five big cities in Australia: Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane. Each city is the capital of the state in which it is situated. Most of the factories are concentrated in or around the big cities. They produce goods for the motor-car, machine-building, clothing and food industries. Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth are the country's main ports. Agriculture is the main occupation in Australia. Wheat and sugar are the main agricultural crops, fruit-growing is also highly developed. Australia is famous for its sheep. The great sheep-farms, called sheep-stations are found in many parts of the country.

Environmental Issues and Sustainable Development in Estonia

Its main goal is to raise the welfare of our society without damaging the environment. This organisation works with the government to be successful in global competition with a sustainable development model and preservation of the traditional values of Estonia. Estonia is well-known by its waste quotas. In order to keep the air pollution to a minimum Estonia has developed high quotas. There are limits for large industries and factories to how much carbon dioxide they are allowed to let into the atmosphere. If they transgress the quotas then they must pay large sums of money. That is probably one of the most important means of preventing the global warming. Although the condition of our environment has improved, there is still a lot to do. Every one of us has to start thinking more about how our actions can affect the environment that is surrounding us. Even waste sorting can make a huge difference in the environment. We

friends do. Some months later, my friends got the same phone, only the newer version of it. You can't imagine, how disappointed I was when I realized that technology develops sooooo fast and we just can't always keep up with the times. In my opinion, it is not so good when modern technology develops as fast as it does nowdays. When people buy new gadgets so often, it causes a lot of trash, which pollutes the environment. If we are not careful, new factories cause air pollutioning which also contributes to global warming. However, technology is not bad only for the environment, it can also affect people's health. We want to have as simple life as possible, and we think we don't even have to move our finger to get things done. Modern technology has improved as far as we need, but, people, let's not get laizy! When we use the advantages of the fast development of modern technology reasonably, then it's a really good and useful thing
