A year later a troupe of magicians called The Four Horseman, performs on Las Vegas. They represent a big difficult illusion, where a random person from audiance is teleported to bank in Paris in few seconds. About a minute later, the cash starts to fall down from the ceiling over the audience. The next day, FBI arrests The Four Horseman, and the big thrilling chase starts. The FBI, leaded by the general agent (Mark Ruffalo) and an Interpol detective (Mélanie Laurent), tries to reveal the secrets of the magic trick. At the same time The Four Horseman outwits them many times. Parallelly to the FBI a lordly ex-magician (Morgan Freeman) tries to find out the bank robbing secret. The film scrolls up to big finale, what ends with a culmnation and a lot of surprises. I truely enjoyed the movie. Batman

I The Birth of Batman The creation of the fictional superhero Batman is credited to artist Bob Kane, even though in reality he was cocreated with writer Bill Finger. Batman first appeared in 1939 in Detective Comics #27. Since then Batman has been an important and influential character in the comic book universe. Publisher of DC Comics, Vin Sullivan was looking for something new for Detective Comics, which would be as intriguing as Superman had been in Action Comics, but it had to be something completely new. Sullivan's ideas inspired Kane, and he credits the creation of Batman as much to Sullivan as to himself. Kane's first image was very much a hero with birdlike wings, but during the

The novel opens on 13 May 1876 with a university student, Pyotr Kokorin, committing suicide in the public park in front of a beautiful young noblewoman, Elizaveta von Evert-Kolokoltseva. His will leaves his large fortune to the newly opened Moscow chapter of Astair House, an international network of schools for orphan boys founded by an English noblewoman, Lady Astair. The apparently open-and-shut suicide case falls to inexperienced 20-year-old detective Erast Fandorin. He interviews Elizaveta, and immediately falls in love with her. Further investigation reveals that Kokorin was playing Russian roulette (called "American roulette" in the novel) with another university student, Akhtyrtsev. Fandorin tails Akhtyrtsev, who leads him to a sensuous dark-haired woman, Amalia Bezhetskaya, whom Fandorin recognizes from a picture in Kokorin's room. Almost every adventure features Tintin hard at work at his investigative reporting, but he is rarely seen actually turning in a story. He is a young man of more or less neutral attitudes and is less colourful than the supporting cast. Other characters are the talking dog Snowy, Prof. Calculus, Captain Haddock, detective Thomson and verity of supporting actors. Tweety and Sylvester In 1945 Bob Clampet created Tweety Bird and Friz Freleng created Sylvester the cat as separate cartoon characters. In 1947 they appeared together In the first pairing, a cartoon called "Tweetie Pie", once again directed by Freleng, Sylvester is a jealous housecat, trying to eat Tweety, a concept that would continue for countless cartoons. Later the series would introduce audiences to Granny,

me than kill me.`` The film was made in 2006, however, set in 1947. Because of this, houses and design of the rooms depict the time. There are certain behaviour rules, formality. In the closing scene the audience sees much restriction of the rules. Codes and conventions connected to this genre are easily distinguisable. Still, ``The Black Dahlia`` is playing, developing the noir style. Two of the most important conventions in Film Noir are anti-hero and femme fatale. Anti-hero, detective Bucky Bleichert, in this particular case is played by Josh Hartnett. In older Noir movies, anti-hero is usually a detective, dominant, commited, confident and he has a personal motivator why he needs to sort out the mystery within the story. (Mystery is one of the conventions, though.) Especially in this sequence we see that Bucky is really confident, he has the power over Madeline and her father (they tell half of the truth), his personal motivator is the murder of his own partner

Edgar A. Poe

In every genre, he explores the psyche. His heroes are tortured solitaries, often addicted to drink or drugs. He accurately described the underside of the American dream of the self-made man and showed the price of materialism and excessive competition loneliness and alienation. Themes of death-in-life, especially being buried alive or returning from the grave, appear in many of his works ("The Fall of the House of Usher"). His most famous stories are his ,,ratiocinative" stories, known as detective tales ("The Murders in the Rue Morgue"). · His verse was very musical and strictly metrical. The poems essence should be beauty and that sadness was the mood most in keeping with the poetic beauty. Poe's poetry did not tell on American tradition. ,,Out of space and out of time" this is what Poe himself said about his work. He made it a rule never to write long epic poems. He thought that "a poem must be comfortably read at one sitting, for, if two

Fake cosmetics such as eyeliner, mascara, lip gloss and foundation have been found to contain toxic levels of chemicals and harmful substances such as arsenic, mercury and lead. The unwanted elements can lead to swelling, rashes and in the most serious cases, lethal poisoning. Consumers using websites to buy fake goods have also been warned that they are at risk of having their identities stolen. Detective Superintendent Maria Woodall said: ''Many people don't know about the real dangers counterfeit beauty products pose to their health. Criminals are exploiting every opportunity to fool customers into buying counterfeits in order for them to make some quick cash - putting peoples' health, homes and lives at risk.
