74% British students and 39% Estonian students believes that school uniforms should be compulsory for all students at all grade levels. I don`t think they should wear school uniforms because it deprises kinds and teens of expressing themselves by what they wear. Kids should have the sight to wear what they want to. Everything would be dull and boring if everyone came to school looking the same. I and the other students in estonia think that parents shouldn`t have more say in school curricula. 39% British students believe that it is necessary. Parents can talk to their child at home about their difference of opinion. Parents shouldn`t be telling teachers what they should be teaching. In conclusion Estonian and British pupils have different aims of education. Standard of education is rated mostly ,,good" in both countries. British students tend to think that corporal punishment is necessary in school.

And basically learn same amount of same things. Like everywhere there are always differences. Education in the United States is mainly provided by the public sector, with control and funding coming from three levels: federal, state, and local. Child education is compulsory. A sub-type of compulsory education is public education. Public education is universal at the primary and secondary levels (known inside the United States as the elementary and high school levels). At these levels, school curricula, funding, teaching, and other policies are set through locally elected school boards with jurisdiction over school districts. School districts are usually separate from other local jurisdictions, with independent officials and budgets. Yet in Estonia our school system mainly stands on government. Public schools gets their funding from government and it's controlled directly by the municipal government. Only private schools are self funding and are quite

However, the current reforms include attempts to sell, or have the state co-sponsor, several of these buildings and monuments, as well as sports facilities, as they are not seen as part of the university's mission proper. At the same time, there are numerous recently constructed/renovated university buildings and student dormitories, such as the Technology Institute and the Biomedical Center. Number of students is over 17,000. Language of instruction in most curricula is Estonian, but there are also several English language groups. Among the international programs, the most popular one is semiotics. Kaspar Kaljurand 11b 12.03.12

of representation. These recommended forms of adult intervention and teaching can be easily integrated into the play format, and skillful and sensitive teachers can make a tremendous difference in children's artistic growth without compromising the child- centered emphasis and the relaxed and playful atmosphere in their childhood classrooms. What is needed, however, is paradigm shift from understanding the concept of developmentally appropriate art education in terms of curricula targeting children's actual levels of attainment to that of creating environments that allow children to perform within their "zones of proximal development" (Vygotsky, 1978). This shift can take place only if we free ourselves from the cultural baggage of romanticized notions of child art and accept that while certainly can appeal to our aesthetic sensitivities and emotions, there are other territories of pictorial worlds that children should be free to explore,

Public schools = now a somewhat archaic term for the oldest, most exclusive and expensive of the boys' independent secondary boarding schools (some are now at least partly co- educational). The National Curriculum was introduced into England, Wales and Northern Ireland as a nationwide curriculum for primary and secondary state schools following the Education Reform Act (1988). Notwithstanding its name, it does not apply to independent schools.Academies and free schools may also set their own curricula, though many choose to follow the National Curriculum. The purpose of the National Curriculum was to standardise the content taught across schools to enable assessment, which in turn enabled the compilation of league tables detailing the assessment statistics for each school. These league tables, together with the provision to parents of some degree of choice in assignment of the school for their child (also legislated in the same

6.3 Solution for Estonian construction industry LC and BIM are both new concepts for the Estonian AEC industry, but these concepts promise to bring improvements. The first step is to start educating students at universities, as they are more opened to innovation and secondly, industry professionals, in the matter of new concepts, principles and methodologies. As LC is not as tangible as BIM, then it is better to start with BIM. New curricula should be created which focus on the BIM model, current capabilities and methods, and possible future developments. Secondly, the curricula for educating students in new management theories, principles and tools should be created, in particular, a curriculum for LC. 6.4 Acknowledgment First of all, I would like to express my greatest gratitude to my research supervisor Rafael Sacks, who guided me throughout my work and Roode Liias for his advice as a second supervisor. participation of children in decisions affecting them, including within the family and the community`.17 Furthermore, in regards to education the Committee recommended that schools should encourage and facilitate children`s right to participate in matters of concern to them and suggested that `the State party consider the possibility of introducing education about the Convention on the Rights of the Child into school curricula`. 18 Moreover, the Committee recommended that the teacher training curriculum should `incorporate education about the Convention on the Rights of the Child. It recommended that teaching methods should be inspired by and reflect the spirit and philosophy of the Convention…`.19 However, the criticism by the UN Committee was met with an outrage by the UK government and media as there was a strong belief that the UK is one of the leading countries in the protection of children

half of the students read no such age restriction on the book. When the researcher later asked the students to indicate their feelings toward the book, they discovered the same pair of reactions we have noted with other bans: Those who learned of the age restriction wanted to read the book more and believed that they would like the book more than did those who thought their access to the book was unlimited. Those who support the official banning of sexually relevant materials from school curricula have the avowed goal of reducing the orientation of the society, especially of its youth, toward eroticism. In the light of the Purdue study and in the context of other research on the effects of imposed restraints, one must wonder whether official censorship as a means may not be antithetical to the goal. If we are to believe the implications of the research, then censorship is likely to increase the desire of students for sexual material and, consequently, to cause them to view
