The Absolutely True Diary of a part-time Indian

It is a a novel about hope, about who has it and who doesn't, and about how hard life can be when hope leaves and also how life can change when hope reappears. The book is a search for finding a place where Junior can feel at home and use his talents. This was a wonderful, original, and fast read book for me. ,,The absolutely true diary of a part-time indian" is great read for all ages, i strongly recommended to read it. It is very fun and sad together. The book is filled with bravery- it shows how to cope with difficulties in the brand-new situation and also provides an overview of the Native American way of life. I really enjoyed this book and i believe that you will also do the same.

Just like music, also the art of movies has a impressive ability to sneak into people's head, heart and soul. Actors, like all the people, are mortals. But their played characters live on even after them. There is many inspiring movies and even more played characters that have given bravery when it has been fading away. The one that goes running would surely agree that there is no better feeling than running. Whichever worries have been collected during the day, are becoming forgotten. There, the person is together with the running lane, feet gently touching the ground and the target even more clean in front of their eyes. How far can we go being tolerant

How far can we go being tolerant?

How far can we go being tolerant? One of our most valuable and rare qualities is tolerance. It is the ability to see things from the other side, capability to take our companions as equal and bravery to show out all those things. Just like all valuable things are uncommon, tolerance is rare too. It is caused by the fact that comparing to the previous centuries people have changed more self-centered and envious, forgetting others around. Tolerance as a characteristic feature is an acknowledged ideal in today`s modern society. The democratic state is based on tolerance. Over the last few years the attitude against ethnic monorities has been a frequently discussed topic in Estonia.

That single person has to have the moral and emotional strength to stand up for what they believe in. So a few years after university it was clear to me that I want to work with cows. Catherine: To me the profession of a milkmaid was no accident. Unlike Marc, I grew up in the country. We had many animals and my mother taught me to take care of them already when I was a little girl. I learned to milk long before I could do anything else with my hands. (Laughs.) I have always had a special place in my heart for animals. I admire the beauty of horses, the bravery of dogs and the grace of cats, but cows are the most fascinating creatures of all they produce so much milk. And it's so unbelievably tasty! Was this what brought you together? Catherine: Well... Marc: Rather yes. Same interests were definitely a conducive factor. Catherine: Yes, indeed. But we met earlier, I had just moved here and I wasn't working in this farm yet. It was... I think eight years ago. And Marc was with his ex-wife. Marc: No, I wasn't. KING LEAR

KING LEAR

Gloucester - A nobleman loyal to King Lear whose rank, earl, is below that of duke. The first thing we learn about Gloucester is that he is an adulterer, having fathered a bastard son, Edmund. His fate is in many ways parallel to that of Lear: he misjudges which of his children to trust. He appears weak and ineffectual in the early acts, when he is unable to prevent Lear from being turned out of his own house, but he later demonstrates that he is also capable of great bravery. Edgar - Gloucester’s older, legitimate son. Edgar plays many different roles, starting out as a gullible fool easily tricked by his brother, then assuming a disguise as a mad beggar to evade his father’s men, then carrying his impersonation further to aid Lear and Gloucester, and finally appearing as an armored champion to avenge his brother’s treason. Edgar’s propensity for disguises and impersonations makes it difficult to characterize him effectively.

The Saxons & Vikings

He had brought many Normans to his English court. Edward was more interested in the Church than in kingship. He encouraged church building & by the time he died there was a church in almost every village. The pattern of the English village with its manos house & church dates from this time. He started a church at Westminster. He died in 1066 & left no heir. The Witan chose Harold from a powerful family of Godwin to be next king of England. He had no royal blood, but had shown bravery & ability. Harold's right to the throne was challenged by Duke William of Normandy and Harold III of Norway. The strength of Anglo-Saxon culture is obvious even today. Days of the week were named after Germanic gods. New place-names appeared, The earliest Saxon villages were family villages. The ending ,,-ing" meant folk or family. The Saxons created institutions which made the English state for the next 500 years. One of them was the King's Council, called the Witan, issuing laws & charters

That is why he went to Pompeii for an expedition, in order to best represent the classicism requirements. David painted carefully all the contours and forms of the human body, because he started to imitate Antique sculptures. Moreover, David and Classicism in general were not limited to only mimicking the external form of the Antique, but also the plot was often borrowed from the Antique literature or mythology. Best suited were the subjects that glorified bravery, loyalty, love for the fatherland and other virtues. Paintings were supposed to be instructive and fight against vices. (Leesi, 2003, p.115) As a matter of fact, the whole life of Jacques-Louis David was somehow connected to political change and therefore David was left with no other choice than to be a part of the French Revolution. In 1780 David returned to Paris and a few years later he exhibited his masterpiece Oath of the Horatii in the Salon. The Salon was a place where all the great men

Fagin gave him a bed to sleep in and he went to sleep. Chapter 9: Oliver awoke the next morning to see Fagin examining several watches and rings in a wooden box. When he discovered Oliver was awake he questioned him on what he had seen, and admired him for his bravery. Jack, or Dodger, then came in with another boy from the previous evening, Charles Bates, and they showed the old Jew the things they collected from the execution they attended that morning. They then began playing a game where they would practice picking Fagin's pockets. Two girls with painted faces, Nancy and Bet came to visit the young men, and after drinking spirits, they went out with the young man. The Jew pointed out to Oliver what a nice life the young
