Cinema is the most restricitve medium

Cinema is the most restricitve medium The topic of this essay is cinema as the most restrictive medium. I would like to discuss the restrictions of cinema as such – what these are, how do they affect the medium. For example time limit of the films, budget, how it affects writer and director, what kind of choices they have to make, and how the audience come into play. Personally, i don’t consider cinema as a restrictive medium. Cinema’s most restrictive feature is time. Filmmakers must fit very good shots edited into very good storyline into one and a half to three hour movie, usually. The reason being, we get uncomfortable sitting long period of time. If the movies would be longer, we would lose interest and start doing something else. We would simply get uncomfortable sitting on a chair and the whole cinema experience would become agony. Furthermore, producing films can be expensive, especially longer films. All human resources want to be paid an hour wa

Pride and Prejudice Questionnaire · Task 1: watch the movie to the end on You Tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6RI7Rb2g6k · and answer the questions: 1. What was the relationship between Mr. Wickham and Mr. Darcy (what kind of common past did they share)? Both had grown up in the same area and under the protection of grand old Mr.Darcy, who had raised two boys equally as his sons. Two childhood friends parted immediately after old Mr.Darcy's death in arguings over money, power and honour (which one Wicham- had less in tons). · Mr. Darcy seemed to be an utterly arrogant, cold- and careless-natured man to strangers. Once you got to know his true nature, you got to know one honest, loyal and fair man, who expressed his disgust for "false pearls" by keeping distance. Even though he so tended to escape from those worthy of his sympathy, too. Still, everything wonderful fascinated him de

He was originally named Charles, but he decided to change his name to Cormac after the Irish King. Cormac was raised Roman Catholic. He attended Catholic High School in Knoxville, then went to the University of Tennessee in 1951-52. His major was liberal arts. He also served the U.S. Air Force for four years. After leaving the university twice, he headed to Chicago, where he worked, apparently as an auto mechanic, while writing his first novel, The Orchard Keeper. British Cuisine Some people criticize English food. They say it's unimaginable, boring, tasteless, it's chips with everything and totally overcooked vegetables. The basic ingredients, when fresh, are so full of flavour that British haven't had to invent sauces to disguise their natural taste. What can compare with fresh pees or new potatoes just boiled and served with butter? Why drown spring lamb in wine or cream and spices, when with just one or two herbs it is absolutely delicious? If you ask foreigners to name some typically English dishes, they will probably say "Fish and chips" then stop. It is disappointing, but true that, there is no tradition in England of eating in restaurants, because the food doesn't lend itself to such preparation. English cooking is found at home.
