Book opinion I read the book “To Kill A Mockingbird” written by Harper Lee, published in 1960. The books events take place in 1880’s Alabama. I really liked the book and I understand why it’s important for people- especially young people like high-schoolers to read this book. The book gives good insight on why we still have problems with racism around us and how much worse it was back in the 19th and 20th century. It has a good mixture of educational and historical topics and humour. Although many things are told the reader through metaphors, the meaning of the metaphor is often explained, as the book is told through a kid’s point of view. I would recommend this book to high schoolers, as it explains important topics that are still an issue to this day and it may be an eye- opening book to some people.

The reason why I decided to read exactly this book was that I found the plot introductory quite interesting and as I started reading I realised I was right. Seventeenth Summer was the first novel published by author Maureen Daly in 1942. The book talks about a girl's first experience with dating and falling in love. (A seventeenth year old girl named Angie who falls for the popular boy Jack.) I think this book was really good. But it is a little bit slow book, it does not really have any action in it and it just more of a leisurely book to read. I liked the romance and the character development, I liked the simplistic nature of their love. It made me yearn for respect and honor, modesty and decency. I admire that slow courtship. The book itself I think was not fantastic, but overall, I felt good reading this book because it still had the romantic aspect but with a new approach to it.

The Review Twilight is the story of Edward and Bella's romance. Forget any vampire romance you have read before, Twilight is so unique it is almost like it's in its own genre. The book is marketed at Young Adult readers but it has the ability to cross age barriers and will satisfy both teenagers and adults alike. The story is told in first person from the perspective of Bella, so the reader only ever know what she knows, making Edward and his family a mystery that is slowly unravelled through out the book.
