Microcontroller homework 07

Microcontroller homework for week 12 1. Three different stepper motors (illustrations on page 162-163): · permanent-magnet, · variablereluctance, · hybrid. The VR stepper has a soft iron rotor with teethand a wound stator. As current is applied to two opposing stator coils, the rotor is pulled into alignment with these twocoils. As the next pair of coils is energized, the rotor advances to the next position. The permanent magnet (PM) stepper has a rotor with alternating north and south. As the coils are energized, the rotor is pulled around. This figure shows a single coil to illustrate the concept, but a realstepper would have stator windings surrounding the rotor. The PM stepper has more torque than an equivalent VR stepper. The hybrid stepper essentially adds teeth to a permanent magnet motor, resulting in better coupling of the magnetic field into the rotor and moreprecise movement. In a hybrid stepper, th...

Film Studies - The Black Dahlia

In older Noir movies, anti-hero is usually a detective, dominant, commited, confident and he has a personal motivator why he needs to sort out the mystery within the story. (Mystery is one of the conventions, though.) Especially in this sequence we see that Bucky is really confident, he has the power over Madeline and her father (they tell half of the truth), his personal motivator is the murder of his own partner. He is able to shoot a woman (Madeline) In well-known Noir films like ``The Big Sleep`` and ``Chinatown`` anti-hero doesn't really look like pretty-boy Bucky but a bit older and macho. Also, when in ``The Big Sleep`` Marlowe, as an anti-hero, is really unemotional, in the closing sequence of ``The Black Dahlia`` we see that Bucky is almost crying. This may lead us to the point that in old times men didn't show much emotions in films but nowadays it is ok, even if it is Film Noir and an anti-hero

Letter

I have been to tennis courses when I was little. I played basketball for about two years and our team was quite successful. I have also been to track and field training, but only for a year. I attended dancing also a year and then made a pause and now I take up dance lessons again. It is freestyle dancing that I am dealing with. I like it a lot. I do other sports just for my self or for fun with my friends. I have also hobbies from other areas. I like photography a lot. I often go somewhere to shoot some photos of nature or just of everything surrounding me at the moment. I have made some real good pictures that I am really happy with. There are also other common hobbies I deal with, like cooking and so. All in all I like sports a lot. That is it right now, these are my hobbies, hopefully it is interesting for you to read about them. I hope to hear from you soon. Your friend Karolyn.

Righteous Kill

shot too but still survived. Russian guy who got shot 6 times identifies the shooter. So after Russian identifies the murderer it comes out that the real murderer is Rooster not Turk. After Rooster had killed Spider he makes Turk to confess in front of a camera to make him responsible for those killings. But soon as Rooster is trying to escape Turk catches up with him and dialogue continues, after that Rooster pulls a gun out to shoot Turk but Turk is faster and kills Rooster. I really enjoyed this movies because 2 of my favorite actors were in it (Robert De Niro and Al Pacino) and my favorite rapper (Curtis Jackson also known as `'50 Cent''). The twist in the end really surprised me, I really thought that Turk was the killer but as soon as Rooster killed Spider that really surprised me. There were not too many shooting and more like a mystery so I could think about the murders like who did it and why

What if there isn't enough work to go round? What if the employers decide to introduce new working practices? And what happens if the two sides can't agree? AVCHD vs HDV - võrdlus

recording on conventional DVD-R media with compatability with blu ray players. Most editing software these days will handle both HDV and AVCHD formats. When I have done side by side tests comparing my AVCHD camera to my HDV cameras, I am hard pressed to see any real difference. They are very good. When it comes to editing, the AVC format is moch more finicky to work with. If is it a single camera personal video, then I may shoot it on my flash memory camera just because it is convient. If I am shooting anything 2 camera, or any commercial shoots that I know I am going to need to edit, then I shoot HDV, and leave the AVC camera at home. Why? The editing process for HDV is no different than for shooting DV. I plug the player into my old tired work station, and fire up Adobe Premiere pro, and capture my clips no differently than working with DV. In the background Cineform is making I frame versions of the IPB stream

Main Street Producers on Main Street, the late playwright Horton Foote's new and final screenplay, are in negotiations to cast Orlando Bloom and have signed Andrew McCarthy ahead of the project's planned April shoot. The pair join an ensemble that already includes Ellen Burstyn, Patricia Clarkson and Colin Firth. It has yet to cast the central character, a young-girl role. The Hollywood Reporter says Foote's drama centers on a group of people in a small town in North Carolina whose lives are shaken up when a stranger arrives. Bloom will play a small- town policeman, while McCarthy will play a Lothario business manager.

Body Shaming

This leads to the question: if it has such harsh consequences, why is body-shaming so common? An example IOP (the Braintree Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program) often discuss about dealing with conflicts with peers. Why, when we are upset, annoyed, or intimidated by someone, do we default to criticizing their appearance? Insults can be a go-to defense in these situations, particularly during adolescence and the young-adult years. In some ways, it feels easier to shoot for something that will hurt, like targeting physical appearance, rather than expressing what is really going on emotionally. Saying, “I’m really hurt by how my friend treated me,” or “I’m terrified of losing this friendship” opens us up and makes us more vulnerable, and therefore feels easier to bury underneath the body-shaming comments that rush to mind. How do we challenge this? In situations like those listed above, expressing true

Marilyn Monroe

Height 5 ft 5 in (1.7 m)[23] Weight 118 lb (54 kg)[23] Around this time, the nude photos of Monroe began to surface, taken by photographer Tom Kelley during her unemployment. Prints were bought by Hugh Hefner and, in December 1953, appeared in the first edition of Playboy. To the dismay of Fox, Monroe decided to publicly admit it was indeed her in the pictures. When a journalist asked her what she wore in bed she replied, "Chanel No. 5".[24] When asked what she had on during the photo shoot, she replied, "The radio".[24] A-list actress Over the following months, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and How to Marry a Millionaire cemented Monroe's status as an A-list actress, and she became one of the world's biggest movie stars. The lavish Technicolor comedy films established Monroe's "dumb blonde" on-screen persona.[15] In Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Monroe's turn as gold-digging showgirl Lorelei Lee won her rave

Referaat - Jackass

the Jackass cast believed that Jackass was finished and there would be no further projects under the franchise. However, during the final season of Wildboyz, Johnny Knoxville joined his former castmates Chris Pontius and Steve-O on various expeditions around the world. It was said that Knoxville went so far out during the filming of the show that Tremaine pulled him aside and said "If you're willing to go this all out, why not get all the guys together and shoot another movie?" Knoxville agreed, and with both Viva La Bam and Wildboyz finishing their runs, the entire cast was available to reunite and film the sequel. Jackass Number Two was released on September 22, 2006, produced by MTV Films and distributed by Paramount Pictures. As was the case with its predecessor, Jackass Number Two topped the box office in its debut weekend, earning $29.01 million. Footage for several stunts featured Bam Margera's

The Dog fence

Sheep and dingoes do not mix. Stations that once sheared 100.000 sheep suffered so many kills that their owners switched to cattle. Others fought back with massive poisoning campaigns and shooting drives. Stations reported annual kills of hundreds of dogs. Day after day people, singly or in pairs travel at the fence filling their days by patrolling at the fence. They fill in the holes, set the traps, replace post, close the gates, and shoot dingoes. Natural forces conspire against the fence. Floods wash it away, rust eats it up, blowing sand buries it, and falling trees crush it. Then there are the animals. Wombats, foxes, and pigs dig holes under it. Hot-blooded bulls and wild camels knock it down. Emus for some reason run with full speed into it and spilt the mesh. Dingoes usually don’t make holes. They just wait to step through one. The repair work is relentless on a fence pressured by weather and wildlife

Film Review - "Shooter"

National Historical Park in front of Liberty Hall. These were then combined with an elevated view from another building to create a fictional vista of the park. Swagger's escape was filmed in New Westminster along the Fraser River. · Sniper tactics Shooter depicts a number of sniper tactics, thanks to the guidance of former U.S. Marine scout sniper Patrick Garrity, who trained Mark Wahlberg for the film. Garrity taught Wahlberg to shoot both left and right-handed (the actor is left-handed), as he had to switch shooting posture throughout the movie, due to Swagger's sustained injuries. He was also trained to adjust a weapon's scope, judge effects of wind to a shot, do rapid bolt manipulation and develop special breathing skills. His training included extreme distance shooting (up to 1,100 meters), and the use of camouflage ghillie suits. Fuqua appointed Garrity as the film's military technical advisor.
