Educating Rita

Educating Rita In my opinion "Educating Rita" was a pretty good movie and I enjoyed watching it. I think that "Educating Rita" is an educational film. In my opinion the principle of the film, is to say that learning and knowing literature can be useful, you will get smarter and more educated. The movie also says that literature is really not as uninteresting as it seems and it can be quite gripping. At the beginning of the film Rita didn't knew about literature, she knew much less than average person, but at the end, she was so fond of literature and she knew much more than average person and she was more educated than ever. Literature isn't as boring as it seems and it helps moving toward in life. "Educating Rita" was a good movie and I learned that literature has an important role in life.

What makes a good movie

What makes a good movie? There are many movies made every year but not all get a positive feedback. Some of them get very famous but some of them don't. So what kind of movies attract people to go to the cinema? It is not very simple to answer this question. Some of us like movies that are futuristic and mystical, but the others love movies that involve love, romance or even violent movies where they can see crime and investigation. I think a good movie has to be true-to-life and stunning. I especially love movies that surprise me. A superb movie has to be educative it has to let me know about something new. The best movies have professional actors. Without great actors and actresses, the movies are not so stunning. They need to make the movies seem real and original. People don't think the same way. We have different opinions, so not everyone like the movies that I enjoy watching. Nevertheless a movie has to be fas...

However, is technological development more of a blessing or a curse? Firstly, technology is labour-saving. Time-saving technology is always at work to help us complete tasks at home and on the job faster than ever. Secondly, the advances of technology have made our lives more comfortable. For instance, the mobile phone has made our time more flexible. Finally, communicational technology has made our life more interesting. Televisioon

Television Television is the most common way to spend free time. Although everyone watch TV, they still have different opinions about it. I think TV helps people to be closer to news or other important incidents. Especially now when there's a economic crisis everywhere and people wants to know what's happening around them. TV also helps you to relax easily. It is a lot of fun to watch TV and have a beer with your friends. TV also helps to take up a new topic to talk about. Some TV programmes are very educating and help students with their school work. My favorite TV programmes are political talkshows. They help me to be more critical to provocations. But watching TV all day long is not healthy. It can really affect your eyes. The most annoying thing about television is that the TV companies show more commercials than programmes. Also there is too much violence and sex...

For and against commercial advertising on TV

For and against commercial advertising on TV The purpose of this essay is to compare the positive and negative aspects of commercial advertising on television. Firstly, I think commercial advertising is the most important way of advertising, because the television is the main channel of information in today's world. Therefore, advertisements on television will give information about a new product to a larger amount of people. Furthermore, without this info our society would not exist, as it depends on people, who consume. Secondly, I think commercial advertising on television is important and good, because it helps television stations to get money for buying new films etc. The programmes shown on television have a higher standard and all this thanks to the profit from commercial advertising. Thirdly, although the advertisements on television help the television stations, I think they are also ...

Internet has many uses in my life

Internet has many uses in my life - I use it for studying, tracking weather, playing games, watching movies and listening to music. I mostly use internet in my smartphone. It's more convenient to carry around rather than a computer. At home i prefer my computer it makes studying alot easier as I can type words much faster than with a smartphone or a pen. It's also bigger so it's nice to watch movies with as well. I use my computer a lot less than my phone maybe 2 or three hours a day, whereas I use my phone at all times. - , , , . . , . - , , . , . , - , 2 3 , . Computers breed laziness and discontent

Computers breed laziness and discontent Nowadays most people have computers.People are getting more and more addicted to computers and of course Internet. I think that every human should control his or her computer using habits. First of all, people have to use their brains lesser. They do not have to remember how to spell words anymore, the computer does it all for them. What is more, students do not have to go library to do their home tasks. They can just use Internet search engines. For this reason, people`s brains grow lazy. Secondly, people are just sitting behind the computer and watching the screen. They are chatting or doing work but they do not understand that they must take break and do some exercises. In my opinion not exercising can make people stressed and unsatisfied. Finally, we think that is very comfort to communicate with friends and other people via Internet. This kind of communication can lead ...

"About a boy"

"About a boy" Review This film is about a saying: "No man is an island," but the main character Will seems to think otherwise because he is always alone and he enjoys it. Eventually he meets some new people and realizes that he was wrong and that it is better to be honest and surrounded by good people. No-one should be alone in life and fortunately Will no longer has to be. I liked the film because it was gripping and moving. It made me feel like the characters. It was also funny and a bit sad. I think the funniest part was when the old lady that was invited to spend Christmas with everyone else misunderstood almost everything that was said. It was a really sweet and innocent mistake. I think this film has a brilliant soundtrack that fits with the scenes perfectly and brings out the emotions of the moment. The acting was great as well and in my opinion the actors ...

Proposal

Dear Sir/Madam, I read with great regret that you want to reduce the funding for English college Film Club. I would like propose the ideas to enhance the Film Club to not to lose the funding. I will try to change your mind by bringing out folowing reasons. Firstly, Film Club evenings take plave on Fridays 6-10 pm. Usually films are in English and quiz evenings about films are always very popular. Students like to relax and communicate with each other, it is also popular because watching films is not too physically demanding. Secondly, there are some problems but Film Club team is trying to solve them. The biggest problem is lack of money and because of that we would like to raise the entry fee. In addition to money problems DVD library films are all from ancient times and this collection has not been renewed since 1995. We are discussing about throwing a Film Fair, where people could donate nowadays films to us. Finally, last month ...

Thatś what friends are for

That what friends are for Friend is a person who accepts you for who you are and not because what you have, a person who corrects you when you are wrong and shares with you your good moments, as well the bad ones. That's what friendship means. The purpose of my article is to describe my friendship. To begin with, friendship is not made overnight, it took years for us to become friends. We had known each other for over four years but then we did not socialize with each other. We started to interact more after fifth grade. Now we have been friends for seven years. Secondly, the best words to describe my friend are helpful, confident, cautious, patient, tolerant all the qualities that a friend should have. He listen me if I have complicated situations and supports me in every way when it is necessary. Lastly, I am glad that I have a friend in my life.
