The pay has stayed the same in the ranking of importance but the ranking of work/life balance has dropped from fourth to second place. Fall of importance In contrast, the importance of job security has fallen by 22% and job content by 16%. They used to be equally ranked the second, but now they have become the least important factors when choosing a job. Conclusion To sum up, the importance of the job itself has fallen, but the factors that employees get out of the job have risen. The reason behind it may be the change in economy or the fact that because of 9/11, people were more scared about their job security in 2003.
How to make the world greener As the time goes on, people keep polluting the world more and more till the last decade or so when green living has reached a huge audience and a lot of organisations have been established aswell as a lot of online sites like greenerworld.com which help you save the environment. The main reason the global pollution has risen lately is because of the enormous growth in world population. Some scientists predict that we will reach ten billion people count by the year 2050, but who knows, maybe by then we have used up all the irrecoverable resources and have to move half the population to the moon and Mars to start contaminating them also. Countries like China have taken measures to stop the population. A chinese family can only have one child and if they go
Some scientists concluded that human production was primarily responsible, while others cited natural causes as well. Recently, more intensive research has been done so that countries have the information they need to prevent acid rain and its dangerous effects. The levels of acid rain vary from region to region. In Third World nations without pollution restrictions, acid rain tends to be very high. In Eastern Europe, China, and the Soviet Union, acid rain levels have also risen greatly. However, because acid rain can move about so easily, the problem is definitely a global one. Kirsika Jürisson 10.A Tallinna 37. Keskkool Õpetaja: Annika Vilu
Hiiumaa and Saaremaa Hiiumaa is the second biggest island belonging to Estonia. Its largest town is kärdla. Hiiumaa arose from the water about 455 million years ago as a result of a meteorite impact. It is one of the oldest islands in the world. Around the island there are more than 200 islands and islets that have just risen from the water. Hiiumaa is a very beautiful place with kind and friendly people. The landscape on one end of the island is completely different from the landscape the other. In many languages the island is called ,,Day island". The best known sight on Hiiumaa is the Kõpu lighthouse. It's located on the Kõpu peninsula. It is the oldest lighthouse in the Baltics and the second or third oldest lighthouse in the world that has had the light continuously burning.

parts of the world. Fossil fuels are used too much and most of its reserves will be used up by 2050. Endangered species 40 percent of all organisms are endangered All the different species are important for biodiversity Habitat loss and hunting are the most widespread cause of species endangerment . Climate change Climate change is a change in the statistical distribution of weather over periods of time. The Earth's average surface temperature has risen by 0.76° C since 1850. Most of the warming that has occurred over the last 50 years is very likely to have been caused by human activities. Weapon of mass destruction A weapon of mass destruction (WMD) is a weapon that can kill large numbers of humans and/or cause great damage to man-made structures (e.g. buildings), natural structures (e.g. mountains), or the biosphere in general. among foreign stuents. It means that we have good education system. Consequently we can say that estonians are tolerant and foreign students feel comfortabe while living Estonia. Negative side is unemployment. It has decreased compared with the last year, but it is still too high. Also a lot of young people are unemployed. It might be caused by the economical crisis, which stopped in fall 2010. Now our economy has risen and situatsion is going to be better. In conclusion i would like to say that life in Estonia is good. The economy is not in a bad situation any more and we can get through the difficulties. Estonia is a little country but Estonians are hardworking and they can achive a lot, when they really want something.
Number of diseases: On the first graph is shown the number of occupational diseases. From the first half of the year 1998 to the middle of the year 1999 the number of occupational diseases grew from 169 to 180. The numbers started to grew rapidly in the middle of the year 1999 and it grew from 180 to 205 within just 1 year. So it is clearly shown that the number of diseases keeps growing. It is not shown on the graph, but the number of occupational diseases in the year 2013 can be risen to thousands considering the growth that has been shown on the first graph. Occupations: On the second graph is shown different occupations, which exhibit the most diseases. The most alarming occupation is proven to be driving with a tractor. The percent of the diseases among the tractor drivers is shockingly 69%. Next come the car drivers and farmers. The percent of the occupational diseases among their area of work is 33%.

Smoking is on the increase among young people One of the largest issues today is underage smoking. The number of teens who smoke has dramatically risen over the past years. Smoking is one of the biggest causes of death and health diseases. Most of the youths start smoking to improve their self image with no attention of becoming addicted. The awareness of the harmful effects of smoking among young people has been rising but many of the young people ignore the dangers of smoking. One possible solution to reduce smoking is to educate the teens. Schools could have classes and seminars that increase the knowledge about the consequences of smoking

Hello My name is JOHN SMITH and I am here to talk about Hydroelectricity. Global energy use has risen by 70% since 1971 and continues to increase at the rate of 2% per year. There are many scenarios for future demand. One solution would be to use more hydropower. In 2005, renewable energy represented one-fifth of total power generation. Hydropower is the most advanced of the renewable and represents 87% of this production. 160 countries all over the world are using hydropower. Five countries make up more than half of the world's hydropower production. Those countries are:

Everything is so interdependent that upsetting one part can lead to unknown damage or even destruction of the whole. Sadly, it has taken only a century of human intervention to destroy what nature designed to last forever. The scale of human pressures on ecosystems everywhere has increased enormously in the last few decades. Since 1980 the global economy has tripled in size and the world population has increased by 30 percent. Consumption of everything on the planet has risen- at a cost to our ecosystems. In 2001, The World Resources Institute estimated that the demand for rice, wheat, and corn is expected to grow by 40% by 2020, increasing irrigation water demands by 50% or more. They further reported that the demand for wood could double by the year 2050; unfortunately, it is still the tropical forests of the world that supply the bulk of the world's demand for wood. In 1950, about 15 percent of the Earth's land surface was covered by rainforest. Today, more

She doesn't elevate the film to the heights to which one might have wanted, but she takes it a lot higher than it would have otherwise risen. (1) What's remarkable is the lack of cheese. Tacky effects, corny dialogue and creaky performances are all shown the door. We repeat: not the new "Twilight". (2) Catching Fire is exceptional entertainment, a spectacle with a good mind and a pounding heart. For the past ten years, Valentino has expanded rapidly and now has almost 300 employees, 75 company-owned shops and a turnover of £90 million. However, in the last two years, sales growth has slowed down and costs have risen because of price-cutting in the industry, production problems, a fall in demand and low staff morale. This has caused a fall in profits. So, the owners have set aside £1.5 million to solve this problem and enable Valentino to become a competitive international business. Objectives To remedy this problems outlined above and make Valentino a more competitive business internationally, an investment of £1.5 million was proposed. We can help Valentino

other developed region. The generosity of the social protection system allows Europeans to maintain a balance between work and leisure. While this pillar of the European growth model has obvious benefits for workers, it discourages labor participation and is a burden on the public finances. Europeans do indeed work less and retire earlier than Americans. Over the last four decades the effective retirement age in Europe has systematically declined in Europe even though life expectancy has risen significantly. Relatively low labor mobility adds to the problems Europe faces in achieving efficient allocation of labor within and between countries. 3. · Contaminated items and surfaces such as clothes and athletic equipment · Crowded living conditions · Poor hygiene (although even very clean people can get staph infections) Is MRSA spreading rampantly, or is it just being monitored more closely? Staph infections have always been among the most common, and potentially the most serious, infections. The proportion of those infections now resistant to antibiotics (MRSA) has risen in comparison with those without such antibiotic resistance. This may be because of overuse and misuse of antibiotics and transmission of the virus between hospital patients. Also, the number of people at risk of such infections -- such as those with a chronic illness, on kidney dialysis, exposed in a health care setting, or who use intravenous catheters or other implanted medical devices -- has steadily risen with changes in health care and an aging population.
Romanesque and, ultimately, Gothic art. The early Anglo-Saxon period is notable for its cemeteries, most of which are found in the southern and eastern parts of England. There is a substantial Anglo-Saxon contribution to the modern English gene pool - a large- scale population movement or immigration in the early Anglo-Saxon period. Readers today approach the Anglo-Saxon poem Beowulf with cultural preconceptions very different from those expressed by the author of this poem. . It has risen to national epic status in England. of-the-art experience for performers, crews and audiences alike. Up to 70 musicians can be accommodated in the orchestra pit, which supports both intimate vocals and large-scale musical renditions.Booked out for much of the year for opera, ballet and contemporary dance performances, the Joan Sutherland Theatre is exclusive but never elitist, drawing a broad spectrum of audiences who down the years have risen to thousands of standing ovations.
