The Giant Panda lives in central-western and southwesterns China. Although the panda is a carnivore, he has a diet which is 99% bamboo. Like most subtropical mammals, but unlike most bears, the giant panda does not hibernate. The Giant Panda is endangered as there are only 2,000-3,000 of them living in the wild and about 270 living in captivity. They have become endangered due to the destruction of their habitat and the variety of bamboo that is decreasing. They are also illegally hunted for their fur. To protect them, there have been many special wildlife parks set up. Elephants live in Central Africa and are the largest land animals alive today. They eat grass, twigs and some fruit. "Babel" My favourite film

"Babel" is a Golden Globe-winning and Academy Award-winning 2006 film, directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu and written by Guillermo Arriaga. The action of the film takes place in 3 different countries and all the events that happen during the film are interrelated. At the beginning of the film two Moroccan boys shot from rifle and this influenced a chain of events that link on American tourist couple struggle to survive, two Moroccan boys involved in an accidental crime, nanny illegally crossing into Mexico with two American children and a Japanese teen girl rebel, whose father is caught by the police in Tokyo. Every branch of the story has it s very own distinct style that complements the plot of each one perfectly. The scenes are stunning, beautiful and dramatic. The film makes quite a sad impression, because the events of the film are tragic. "Babel" is a film that, of course, is about what makes all humans alike. It

Is It a Crime to Download Music Free of Charge?

Is It a Crime to Download Music Free of Charge? Nowadays, a lot of people listen to music on their computer and most of the time they download it illegally. I obviously understand that it is illegal and we should not do it but the question is, should we be able to do it legally. To begin with, music is a big part of our lives. If children were not given the ability to cheer them up with music, the depression levels would definitely be higher, as well as less motivation in children. For an example, the average American child listens to 4 hours of music in a day. I personally listen to at

An analysis of the problem of Political Power - essee

But does democracy really deserve the reputation that it has? (Wolff, 1996) The word of (citicens) means that democracy is internal. The word by means that in is collective (selfgovernment). The word for means that there should be public interest about political power. Three theories Firstly, Plato Statesman: He divides forms of government into good-ones (rule of law) and bad-ones (lawless rule). So, when one person rules de jure it is called Monarchy, but if he or she rules illegally, it is called Tyranny. When a few people rules de jure it is called Aristocracy and when they do not have the legal right to rule, it is called Oligarchy. If many people rule de jure it is called Good- or The Real - Democracy, but if they rule illegally, it is called "Bad" Democracy. (McLaughlin, 2010) Secondly, Aristotle Politics: His dividing is the same as Plato's, but there are one little difference. If Plato divided good- and bad-ones considering law, then Aristotle considers

Illegal Immigration in America - essee

Of course there are other ways to try and fix this issue but I think this one would work the best. The issue of illegal immigration is not only familiar to the U.S; it is also becoming a problem in Europe. It is legal to move from an EU country to another so we don’t really think about illegal immigration that much but recently the number of illegal immigrants from Africa and the Middle-East has grown quite a lot. It has been estimated that in 2012 at least 72 000 immigrants entered Europe illegally. The issue isn’t as big here as it is in America but Europe should take action before it’s too late and the problem gets out of hand. In conclusion I think this is one of the major problems in the American society and it is very hard to solve. Even if every inch of the American border would be guarded, people would still find a way to get in. It isn’t possible to keep all illegal immigrants out but it’s possible to reduce the amount of them and I think that’s what should be done.

The story details a military occupation of a small town in Northern Europe by the army of an unnamed nation at war with England and Russia. A French language translation of the book was published illegally in Nazi-occupied France by Les Editions de Minuit, a French Resistance publishing house. Furthermore, numerous other editions were also secretly published across all of occupied Europe, including Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Dutch and Italian versions. Shoulder surfing is an effective way to get information in crowded places because it's relatively easy to stand next to someone and watch as they fill out a form, enter a PIN number at an ATM machine, or use a calling card at a public pay phone.[6] Stealing personal items Identity thieves can also obtain your personal information by stealing your wallet or purse.[4] Skimming Skimming is the act of using a skimmer to illegally collect data from the magnetic stripe of a credit, debit or ATM card. This information, copied onto another blank card's magnetic stripe, is then used by an identity thief to make purchases or withdraw cash in the name of the actual account holder. Skimming works by replacing a card reader like an ATM with a camouflaged counterfeit card reader. The counterfeit reader records all of the data on a credit, debit or ATM card as it passes through the skimmer.[7] Man-in-the-middle-attack

Law-makers breaking the law: torture as a justified interrogation technique?

(Twinning, 1973). The punishment has to be accompanied by as much disadvantage as advantage. It also has to correspond to the preventive considerations. The severity of the punishment must be proportional to the damage the crime caused (Ibid.). Alan Dershowitz' (2002) vision states that the simple cost-efficiency analysis for resorting to illegal torture seems overbalanced: it is certainly better to inflict illegal pain to one guilty terrorist who is illegally holding back important information that could help us avoid a terrorist act than to allow a big amount of innocent people to die. Pain is a lesser and repairable damage than death; and the lives of a thousand innocent people have to be valued higher than the integrity of the body of one guilty person. 5 Public humiliation of an opponent often leads to controversy though as the person

The federalists followed Peeter Speek, editor-in-chief of the Tartu newspaper Uudised (News; banned in 1906). The main force behind the socialist and revolutionary movement were the workers of the huge Tallinn and Narva factories, students at the University of Tartu and secondary school pupils. Political propaganda was distributed in illegally printed leaflets. The first Russian revolutionary uprising in January 1905 became a turning point in Estonian history. The revolt that spread over a large part of the empire was caused by the ever widening split between the needs of a modernising society and Russia's hopelessly out-of- date social order. The often spontaneous rebellions culminated in the opposition between absolutism and people, factory owners and workers, landlords and peasants, the empire's

English Magistrates courts deal both with civil and criminal matters. The party bringing a criminal action is called prosecutor and the other party is known as defendant. There are 3 categories of criminal offence (an illegal act): Minor crimes are the less serious crimes and those are triable in Magistrates Court without a jury. Serious crimes such as murders (the crime of killing someone) are indictable offences and they can be heard in the Crown court. Crimes such as burglary (the crime of illegally entering a building and stealing things) and theft (taking something that belongs to someone else and keeping it) are triable either in the Magistrates Court or in the Crown Court. The standards of proof are higher in a criminal action because the loser risks being sent to prison. The prosecution has to prove that the accused is guilty. 14.
