Technology has dramatically changed leisure and hobbies Family drives with a car, husband turns the car looking at the GPS directions to home. Wife shares pictures to Instagram with her iPhone and in the backseat girl is playing with her iPad and boy reads on his kindle. This is normal nowadays, because technolgy has been improved for example people can now communicate with each other much faster. It is great, although it can also harm people. Technology is serious responsibility- if people do not use an invention carefully, then it would end up the wrong way. The word „Leisure“ meaning changes in every 10 to 20 years. 50 years ago spare time was usually considered as that part of a day when people took a nap or children played with each other. Nowadays technological tools are killing off leisure time, especially for younger
butter? Why drown spring lamb in wine or cream and spices, when with just one or two herbs it is absolutely delicious? If you ask foreigners to name some typically English dishes, they will probably say "Fish and chips" then stop. It is disappointing, but true that, there is no tradition in England of eating in restaurants, because the food doesn't lend itself to such preparation. English cooking is found at home. So it is difficult to a good English restaurant with a reasonable prices. In most cities in Britain you'll find Indian, Chinese, French and Italian restaurants. In London you'll also find Indonesian, Mexican, Greek... Cynics will say that this is because English have no "cuisine" themselves, but this is not quite the true. Hobbies contribute to one's personal development Most people have hobbies for personal entertainment and interest. There are very many hobbies, some collect stamps, others might take photographs of architectural buildings or just play cards. Everything we do, gives us more experience at something, therefore hobbies contribute to our personal development a lot. The one hobby I will discuss and which is one of my own personal hobbies, is playing Texas Hold'em which is a form of poker. Although some people might just label it as gambling, poker is largely a skill game which has very little to do with luck rather than mathematics, reading people's body language and keeping track of people's previous behaviour. In able to play poker smart, you must be quick at calculating your odds and the value of your next move, just like in chess.
Hi Andrew, The hobbies of yours that you told me about in the last letter seem to be quite interesting. I am also into sports like you are. But your interest about machinery and computer are not so thrilling for me. So now I am going to tell you about my hobbies. I have quite a lot of hobbies, they can be related together as sports. I am into lots of sport activities like cycling, rollerskating, running, swimming and dancing. I like playing foot-, basket- and volleyball. I have been to tennis courses when I was little. I played basketball for about two years and our team was quite successful. I have also been to track and field training, but only for a year. I attended dancing also a year and then made a pause and now I take up dance lessons again

There are many ways to develop new possibilities to spend time usefully and wisely. It's very important to keep your hometown clean and polite, because then you and the others would like to live there much more. Also it would improve the tourism in this city. It's nice when people who visit your hometown, will remember that they visited such proper and friendly city. It's useful when you have restaurants and shopping centres in our city, because these will be always great tourist magnets. It's good when your hometown has some interest groups and possibilities to enjoy person's hobbies. For the kids and adolescents there should be enough training circules and activities like cinema and places where they can meet and play some games like table tennis or billiards. Every person who lives in the city can protect hometown from pollution in their own way. First of all, it is necessary to sort their rubbish. It's good for global health and ecosystem. There
The picture is taken somewhere outside as the man is wearing a coat. In picture 2 I can see numerous students sitting their exam in a big hall. The photos are connected with the topic of university There are a few similarities between these two pictures. First, they both show young people making an effort. Second, picture 1 as well as picture 2 tell us about typical aspects of student life. However, the pictures clearly differ from each other in several aspects. To start with, while the young man in p1 is obviously relaxing after winning a competition, the students in p2 are in the middle of writing their papers. Moreover, all people in picture 1 look over the moon, but people in picture 2 look rather preoccupied with their work. It could be the young man in p1 is the leader of the team or he has succeeded in some sort of individual field. Anyway, judging by his
Good morning! I'm Monika. First of all, I am going to tell you something my hobbies. I have some exciting ones. I am going to jump out of airplane this summer. I have been dreaming about it all the year. Parachutists have been joking and asking all the time why birds are singing? They only know that. Because flying is so great, that's why. So I suppose I will probably sing too after that. I have another exciting interest in my plans too. It is diving. Most of all I like to swim. Sometimes I drive hobby cart. I like to do different things. For example I enjoy dancing, skating, skiing, reading, traveling and also many another things. But I guess it is not necessary talk about all my hobbies and interests. OK, why I'm here today? As we know learning is becoming more and more popular nowadays and it is never late to do it. I want to continue my study by correspondence at university
Sports Centre Jyri sport centre is a modern building with up to date technology. The sports centre includes a gym, budo hall, dance hall, swimming pool and a room where you can play pall games. I think Jyri sports centre has more advantages than disadvantages. I am rather optimistic and think it is such a privilege that we have sports centre in jyri. Thanks to the sports centre there is many hobbies you can choose from. You can learn different martial arts, different dances, basketball, football and table tennis. you can take swimming lessons and much more. When you just want to take a time out you can take a steam bath, a regular sauna or just relax in a bubble bath. To me jyri sports centre has only one disadvantage. That you have to pay for these things which the sports centre includes. I find this as a disadvantage because in these hard

Each part has a special job, and all the parts work together to keep you alive and healthy. Good health is one of the most important things in life. There are certain things we can do to stay healthy. We should eat a balanced diet that includes the right kinds of food and drink plenty of clean, fresh water. We should exercise regularly, strengthening our muscles and keeping us in shape. Exercise helps the blood circulate around our bodies, cleaning out waste and supplying plenty of oxygen. It is also important what we get enough sleep. The number of hours we sleep we need depend on our age
went to school at the age of six. Here I should say that it was my lucky chance to study for 11 years at the school of fine arts in the town of Molodechno . it turned out to be the best school in our town. There I got a proper training in such subjects as English, Russian and Belarusian literature and world culture. I usually did a lot of home preparation for them and I liked everything I was doing in them. I really tried hard in them. But despite my efforts I was not good at Math. School for me was not only lessons and learning I had a lot of friends there. We organized extra class activities such as parties and other social activities. I actively participated in most of them. I am sociable, so I have got a lot of friends among my schoolmates. As for me I appreciate people's hornesty, kindness, sense of justice and intelligence. I don't like when people are rude and aggressive. I am stubborn at times
Anna-Maria THE VALUE OF THINGS VS THE PRICE OF THINGS The price and value of things has changed a lot of over the times. Every person value things variously. It depends on people, what they think is important for them, some people value expensive things like diamonds or highly rated technology, some people on the other value things that are not financially valuable, like family, love or friends. The value of things is quite different from the price of things. A good example to prove it, is Apple. The price of Apple products are simply overrated. Iphone is like any other phone, but people buy it just to be popular and because everyone else are buying them. For Apple it is good of course, because they are serving benefits. Other example are designer clothes. The
The main question is what makes a human being happy? In my opinion, as a person claims that he is happy, then we can firmly say that this person is successful in life because he feels content with his life. Contentedness and happiness are the key factors in determing how succesful someone is. It is often said that for a small town inhabitant, it is a lot harder to achieve something in life. I totally disagree with this statement. There are just other values in a town with a small population density. Values concerning family life are coming more forth, career and such kind of personal ambitions are kept in the backround. Also it is often mentioned that making a successful career in a small town is largely impossible, because of the lack of different resources and opportunities. By these it is commonly ment a uncompetitive education and few opportunities to develop extracurricular activities. In my opinion it is again a misunderstanding
Dear Liisa Lovely to hear from you after so long! It’s a great tragedy that the COVID-19 is out and about but we just have to make the most of it and protect ourselves and our loved ones. After being in isolation for only two days a realization hit me. I realized that everything that I took for granted was going to change. As many other, I didn’t thought that Estonia is going to suffer greatly from the virus outbreak and everything is going to proceed as usual. Life goes on. But it doesn’t. I became aware of the problem after my sister and I had a talk about immunity. I myself have lived many years with runny nose and I don’t worry too much about it but I really never thought about my little sister and mom. They both have had some serious issues with
The Big data is a collection of all the information that users produce. After it is organized, an algorythm or AI will calculate the needed outcome, whether it is used to display certain ads to certain people or suggust likeable pages or articles. Thanks to the big data we see annoying ads in side of our feeds, which feature the sneakers we once looked in some online store. Big data is used against us. But does all social media platforms collect data? What information popular platforms collect? Lets start with the biggest, baddest social media platform – Facebook. Facebook according to Pew research center, 79% of internet users use Facebook in USA. I guess it is a lot when it comes to specific social platform. Since there are over 1,86 billion active Facebook users, a lot of data is generated. Facebook states on their official webpage that they collect all sorts of data. They collect content and information that user provides when using their

Lord Emsworth: Quotes: 1) "Beach," said Lord Emsworth. "M'lord?" "I've been swindled. This dashed thing doesn't work." "Your lordship cannot see clearly?" "I can't see at all, dash it. It's all black." The butler was an observant man. "Perhaps if I were to remove the cap at the extremity of the instrument, m'lord, more satisfactory results might be obtained." "Eh? Cap? Is there a cap? So there is. Take it off, Beach." "Very good, m'lord." "Ah!" 2) "It's Aggie. My wife, you know." "Well?" "She's left me." "Left you!" "Absolutely flat." 3) "Why did you let him go? You must have known I would want to see him." "What good would that have done?" "I could at least have assured him of my sympathy," said Lady Constance stiffly. "Yes, I suppose you could," said Lord Emsworth, having considered the point. "Not that he deserves any sympathy. The man's an ass

popular. Afterwards many watch the Queen's traditional Christmas address on TV at 3 pm. Christmas actually contains of 3 days: Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. The latter is the first day after Christmas or the first Monday after Christmas if Christmas is on Friday or Saturday. 3. What is the same and what is different about the way Easter is celebrated in England and Estonia? Easter lasts for 4 days in Britain: from Good Friday to Eas-ter Monday. Schools close for two weeks. On Good Friday people usually eat small sweet rolls toasted with butter and containing currants with a cross on top representing the wooden cross Jesus died on. On Easter Sunday Christians celebrate the resurrection of Christ. Most people give each other chocolate eggs of all sizes, which are usually hollow or contain sweets. Families with children often have an Easter Egg Hunt in
Home education is an alternative idea, and I won't rule it out, but need to learn more about it first. My hunch is, even average Seattle public schools can turn out well rounded, capable students, if the students receive excellent support at home. I say this because I've met such students. Also, some private schools kids have turned out to be unsuccessful. Probably a loving, involved family atmosphere, in which such things as reading, game- playing, shared meals and other activities all go on routinely -- is more valuable than monetary wealth with a sterile family life. Sure, children can always grow up to beat the odds. But I'd rather cast my vote for public schools and the Republicans' "strong family values" over a private school upbringing that had joyless family life. Yes, the best is to have your cake and eat it, too. But although wealth just won't go around, love, sharing, reading, good manners -- are within the reach of all of us. Can't win 'em all, or predict

The first time, I read it, I dug into it with little or no expectations, when it had just recently been published and had not yet become as immensely popular as it is right now, especially in Estonia, as it had not yet been translated. But the hype was already building up in American social networking sites, and since the book was already being referred to as the ´´next Harry Potter´´, I obviously had to read it. It is somewhat embarrassing to admit, that at first, before giving much indepth thought about
It provides an outlet for creative talents. By the beginning of the 21-th century TV became a coloured world network. Numerous programmes people can receive by satellite or cable. The choice of the channels ranges from six to twenty. These channels show programmes of various kinds from documentaries, current events and sports to programmes American films and science fiction cartoons. Now this medium of communication allows people to see and speak with each other if they are separated by thousands of kilometres. TV bridges between Russia and the USA once were very popular. They showed that TV was a unifying force and that our planet in reality is a small world. Previously innovations were promoted on TV. TV shocked, surprised and stimulated. It brought ballet, opera, and theatre to big masses of people. It was even in the vanguard of new drama. Moreover, TV can keep children quiet. If they are noisy their mothers turn on the set

training part-time. One question I ask people is, 'What will happen if you don't do it?' The answer inevitably is that they will wish they had." There are plenty of organisations able to help people embark on their journey of career change. SMP Solutions is among them. Steve Preston, the director, says that while some people opt for one-to-one advice and support, others benefit from group workshops. "People are not very good at talking about themselves in a positive way and what happens in a group dynamic is that people point out others' strengths and potential ideas for careers. It works well." Emma White, a personal development coach, believes it's important that people understand the breadth of careers out there. "Sometimes I get people coming to me saying something like, 'I just know I want to work with animals.' They go away amazed at the opportunities available."
Here are some questions you might want to consider: What am I like? How do my friends characterize me? What are my personality traits? Have I ever experienced a moment of epiphany? Why is (some color) my favorite color? Why is (some movie) my favorite movie? How have my favorites influenced my life? What have I done? What are my major accomplishments? Why do I consider them accomplishments? What extra curricular activities have I participated in? Have I strived hard for something and achieved it? Why did I succeed? Have I strived hard for something and failed to achieve it? Why did I fail? What was the most difficult time of my life? How did my perspective of life change due to that difficult time? Where do I want to go? What would I most like to be doing right now? Where would I like to be? Who would I most like to be with? What are my dreams for the future?

a discontinuity in its development, a leap to an entirely different level of Being and, most important, a lessening of materiality. What could be heavier and more impenetrable than a rock, the densest of all forms? And yet some rocks undergo a change in their molecular structure, turn into crystals, and so become transparent to the light. Some carbons, under inconceivable heat and pressure, turn into diamonds, and some heavy minerals into other precious stones. Most crawling reptilians, the most earthbound of all creatures, have remained unchanged for millions of years. Some, however, grew feathers and wings and turned into birds, thus defying the force of gravity that had held them for so long. They didn’t become better at crawling or walking, but transcended crawling and walking entirely. Since time immemorial, flowers, crystals, precious stones, and birds have held special significance for the human spirit
