more workers. Sometimes it seems, that is capable to do thousands doings at the same time. The one her drawback is `hurry sickness`. She is always in a great hurry, even if it is not necessary. Even at school we had such cases, when she was like `in hurry`. She was always first, when we pass our essays or tests, or read poems by heart etc. This is not really the drawback, but sometimes it tires her out. For the reasons I have given I have no hesitation in supporting her by this application for the job. I believe that Alice would make a good impression on you.

may be proud of. As for more, the story itself is catching. The main character, the poor playwright Moliere has the honour of writing a comedy about his tragic life and lost yet true love, and his feelings, so similar to those of the viewers, reach everybody through the detailed story. It can be said that the new, 2007 "Moliere" was composed by a genuine author with the same principles of life as of the 17 th century Moliere. To sum up, it can be said without hesitation that the movie included great work from the actors, the main role played by Romain Duris, and wonderful work from the director Laurent Tirard, a talented man who has written many masterpieces himself. If there is a movie that is definitely worth seeing, then "Moliere" is the one. Reet Kuznetsova, 11b

Surprise

As I stood there looking around me the front door opened. It was my sister coming in. I greeted her and then she started talking about an artschool she had been invited to. We talked a long time, and I got carried away with the conversatin, forgotting the envelope that still waited me on my armchair. Later at night, when I at last got to my room, I found the letter and remembered to open it. So I picked up the envelopen again. And opened it slowly, with a little hesitation. It was easy to open it. I took out the folded paper, letting the empty envelope fall on the floor. I unfolded the letter and started reading the lines. It was a formal letter and it took only a brief moment for me to understand what it was about. The letter was from the artschool that my sister told me about. I was also invited to attend. Afterwards it came out that my sister wanted to surprise me with the letter from her new school headmaster

victories of dealing with women.Strauss learns his own lessons. It's a description of one man's journey from master loser, to master seductor. It all starts with Styles account of growing up "far from attractive," and far from satisfied with his sex life. All it took to change that was a call from a book editor, asking Strauss to take the mysterious "Layguide" that existed on the Internet, and turn it into a " how-to book". Through hesitation, Strauss finds himself curious. While investigating this patchwork of notes on how to get busy, he finds himself diving into a world he--nor the majority of people out there hardly knew existed. Becoming one of the biggest parts of it. As he says,If the layguide had never crossed his path, he, like most men, would never have evolved in thinking about the opposite sex." Style began his journey of transformation from single loser to a guy

I truly respect the qualities she possessed, even though they were not always admirable and considerate of others. The number one trait I liked about Jordan as a character was her independence and the fact that she was not reliant on men, which cannot be said about Daisy and Myrtle. All the female characters were in their twenties but Jordan was the only one who still had not got married nor had a child. She had her own ideals and goals, and she stood for them without hesitation. However, by the end of the novel, she did get engaged, which can be seen from a conversation between Nick and Jordan as Nick says that "there were several she could have married at a nod of her head /.../" (Fitzgerald 1993: 160), which means that for a long time, Jordan chose not to marry, ignoring society's pressure and its prototypical image of the 1920s women. When it came to her personality, Jordan was portrayed to be quite arrogant and

later life as somewhat asymmetrical, and as carrying himself rather stiffly and awkwardly, though this may be on account of a knee injury sustained in middle age. As a very young child, he suffered a fever that left him deaf in one ear. At the age of seventeen, he suffered a severe attack of whooping cough, which was probably responsible for his chronically weak chest in later life. Another defect he carried into adulthood was what he referred to as his "hesitation", a stammer he acquired in early childhood and which plagued him throughout his life. At a time when people commonly devised their own amusements and when singing and recitation were required social skills, the young Dodgson was well equipped to be an engaging entertainer. He reportedly could sing tolerably well and was not afraid to do so before an audience. He was adept at mimicry and

She was killing time before bus arrival - she had no car, she accepted invitation of a man without a hesitation thinking that she may tip down one or two with him; her boots were thin, when she was eating the egg she realized how hungry she was, she didnt know what she'd eaten last, she spent her last money on the ticket, the money was given by some man (so it wasn't hers), she ate one egg after another, that's how hungry she was. an hour earlier than usual. Paul reflects that the roar of guns and whistling of shells sharpens men's senses. Paul ruminates that, for the soldier, the earth takes on a new significance at the front: he buries his body in it for shelter, and it receives him every time he throws himself down in a fold, furrow, or hollow. At the front, a man's ancient animal instincts awaken. They are a saving grace for many men who obey them without hesitation. Often, a man drops to the ground just in time to avoid a shell that he did not even hear coming. On the front, men are transformed from soldiers into "human animals." The soldiers carry wire and iron rods to the front. After they lay the wire, they try to sleep until the trucks arrive to drive them back. Kat's prediction that they would be bombarded is correct. Everyone scrambles for cover while the shells land around them. Paul attempts to

authority and obedience, science and scientific thinking did flourish during the five centuries preceding that watershed we call the Scientific Revolution. By the 17th century, science, scientific thinking and the experimental method had become the territory of more men, and by the mid18th century, increasing numbers of women would be included as well. For instance, in 1649 René Descartes yielded, after much hesitation, to the requests of Queen Christina of Sweden that he join the distinguished circle she was assembling in Stockholm and personally instruct her in philosophy. The New Science spread rapidly through education in universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, Bologna, Padua and Paris. Science was also diffused to a large audience through books. Each time a Galileo, Descartes, or Newton published their findings, a wave of replies followed

By the time Cooper started writing The Leatherstocking Tales, the native population had been virtually eliminated from the upstate New York area, and "the frontier had been pushed across the Missouri." Cooper himself had little or no personal contact with Native Americans, just like the vast majority of his contemporary readers, who, to borrow Randall C. Davis's words, "accepted without hesitation the distinction between 'savagism' and 'civilization' as an explanation for Native Americans' perceived inabilities to assimilate neatly into EuroAmerican society." Though widely viewed as a sympathizer, if not a staunch advocate, for Native Americans, "Cooper was ambivalent about the westering advance of the society to which he belonged." Perhaps that is the

I concentrated on unscrewing the lid of my lemonade. I took a swig, staring at the table without seeing it. "Aren't you hungry?" he asked, distracted. "No." I didn't feel like mentioning that my stomach was already full -- of butterflies. "You?" I looked at the empty table in front of him. "No, I'm not hungry." I didn't understand his expression -- it looked like he was enjoying some private joke. "Can you do me a favor?" I asked after a second of hesitation. He was suddenly wary. "That depends on what you want." "It's not much," I assured him. He waited, guarded but curious. "I just wondered... if you could warn me beforehand the next time you decide to ignore me for my own good. Just so I'm prepared." I looked at the lemonade bottle as I spoke, tracing the circle of the opening with my pinkie finger. "That sounds fair." He was pressing his lips together to keep from laughing when I looked up. She is all affability and condescension, and I doubt not but you will be honoured with some portion of her notice when service is over. T h e pause to weigh the consequences makes the commitment to the adventure a real choice in which the hero, after this period of hesitation or refusal, is willing to stake her life against the possibility of winning the goal. It also forces the hero to examine the quest carefully and perhaps redefine its objectives. AVOIDANCE It's natural for heroes to first react by trying to dodge the adventure. Even Christ, in the Garden of Gethsemane on the eve of the Crucifixion, prayed "Let this cup pass from me." H e was simply checking to see if there was any way of avoiding the ordeal. No matter; the psychological effect of the actions of those individuals must have been potent. If the suicides of similar others in news stories can influence total strangers to kill themselves, imagine how enormously more compelling such an act would be when performed without hesitation by one's neighbors in a place like Jonestown. The second source of social evidence came from the reactions of the crowd itself. Given the conditions, I suspect that what oc- curred was a large-scale instance of the pluralistic ignorance phenomenon. "Sounds [in Navaho] must be reproduced with pedantic neatness . . . almost as if a robot were talking," wrote anthropologist Clyde Kluckhohn. "The talk of those who have learned Navaho as adults always has a flabby quality to the Navaho ear. They neglect a .slight hesitation a fraction of a second before uttering the stem of the word." A hint of its complexity may be seen in some of its verb forms, on which it insists. The stems of many Navaho verbs differ with the object acted upon. Thus one stem must be used with long objects (pencils, sticks), another with slender flexible objects (snakes, thongs), and still others with granular masses (sugar, salt), things bundled up (hay, bundles of clothing), fabrics
