Books Today and Tomorrow

Books Today and Tomorrow Why is it important to read books? Do people read less books than in the past? Will people read less in the future? Books have always played a great role in our lives and reading them is highly important. It increases knowledge and expands vocabulary, which integrates to writing. Reading books makes a person more intelligent and it gives a different perspective. Nowadays people tend to read less books than they used to. The main reason for this catastrophy is the development of technology. People would rather watch moving pictures in the television than pick up an old book covered in dust. In the past, when there were no television or computers to entertain people, books were basically the only amusement. On the other hand the lifestyle of ours has gotten tremendously busy and some do not find the time to

Virtual friendship

Virtual friendship Virtual world undoubtedly makes our lives easier and makes it easier for us to get more friends, but are those real friends? Although virtual world gives us a chance to make more friends, there is considerable disagreement over whether these new friends are real or not. The main argument for the virtual world being superficial is that nowadays people rather tend to stay in front of their screens and just talk than go out and have a good time eye to eye. Therefore people might not have any idea who they are talking to or what these people really think of them. What is more, people often spend more time with their virtual friends chatting

Essee "A hobby - waste of time?"

I think if you don't like your hobby, then it's a waste of time. In addition, hobbies can be very different- some people make music, some people do sports, some are collecting marks or something. In my opinion there are some hobbies what are totally waste of time. Like playing video games. They steal you free time and don't give you anything, maybe only bad eyesight. Hobbies like basketball, football, running are very good, it gives you something good body or gives strenght to live, work for something. To sum up, i think that hobby is not waste of time if it is more like a lifestyle, but surely, there are some hobbies what are totally waste of time, but it is only my opinion. Carmen Verhovits 10A

But a person must know at least something about the country because there might be totally different traditions and you might get into a disgraceful situation. In my opinion, young people should grab every opportunity to travel because it gives you a paggage of knowledge that you can learn only practically.

Therefore, there will be some time to earn money or maybe even travel the world. The worst decision would be to choose the wrong university program. To sum up, I believe that both options are suitable. Going to university gives the opportunity to start working on the dream right away, but going to work gives a little more time to think and maybe helps to make better decisions in the future. There is no answer because everyone is different and the choice depends on the person's wants and wishes.

The long-life AC motor of the hairdryer gives the customer a high-power airflow for a faster drying time. The book gives good insight on why we still have problems with racism around us and how much worse it was back in the 19th and 20th century. It has a good mixture of educational and historical topics and humour. Although many things are told the reader through metaphors, the meaning of the metaphor is often explained, as the book is told through a kid’s point of view. I would recommend this book to high schoolers, as it explains

knowledges about your body. Our grandmothers and grandfathers often complain, that we eat wrong sort of food, like hamburgers and french fries. But I think, it isn`t true. Yes, we eat hamburgers, but not every day. Me myself couldn`t eat a hamburger every day, I will get enough. It seems to me that younger generation appreciate a good work out more than ever more. We like to relax by doing exercises and fitting our body. It gives a lot of energy. In my opinion we are going to be a very healthy generation. Mari Saar.

Some people say that schools should not offer meals for pupils

Some people say that schools should not offer meals for pupils In city schools are the meals pointless because there can children they own food with him or buy it some place nearby. Otherwise on country schools the lunge meals has to be because people live far from home otherwise they don't get their warm meal on right time. Near the city schools are always some shop or café where hey could enjoy their lunge. All so they would get more free time to be with their friends. But that would be an problem for some child parent who don't have money to send their child out for lunge. Also city schools food isn't very quality, because it has made by to much amount. Country schools are small and have a cheep very quality food. Cooks who work there usually has love for cooking so they make food with joy. That's what gives a food a good taste.

Pride and Prejudice Book report

Jane Austen "Pride & Prejudice" Pride and Prejudice, first published on 28 January 1813, has consistently been Jane Austen's most popular novel. Austen sold the copyright for Pride and Prejudice to Thomas Egerton. Egerton published the first edition of Pride and Prejudice in three hardcover volumes in January. The tone is light and a little humoristic. Pride and Prejudice is a humorous story of love and life among English gentility. At first the book was called "First impressions" and this gives a better expression to the requests of the author, than the later heading. People meet, do not understand each other and communication does not offer joy either. So this is contrary to love at first sight. It is a tale of love and values in the class-conscious England of the late 18th century. It is a story of five sisters and their lives. It is a story through the dangerous, exciting and loving feelings of the characters.

Beyond this world is transcendental world. The only way to know about transcendental knowledge is through scripture. Vedas ( Krishna) are the only way to know about trans realm. Spiritual world is not possible to perceive with material senses. Therefore we need spiritual perception. It happens through purification and awakening soul's spiritual faculties. But before that it happens through scriptures. Scripture is revealed to us by God who is able to perceive spiritual reality and He gives that revelation & explanation to us. Division of Vedic knowledge: 1) Vedic knowledge that agrees with pratyaksha & anumana; 2) Vedic knowledge that disagrees with pratyaksha & anumana; 3) " " that is transcends material. food is well worth the cost and tastes good. Service The waiters are friendly, but it's commonly hard to understand them because they don't speak neither understand much Estonian. The service could also be sometimes a bit slow and the queues long. Atmosphere The interior of the restaurant is nice and cosy, though what can be complained about is how the tables and seats are set, beacuse they are usually too close to each other. Restaurant plays music which gives you a good mood. As another minus, there are regularly food left-overs on the floor, which doesn't make the best out of the restaurant. Conclusion In conclusion, McDonalds is a good fast food restaurant and offers tasty but maybe not so healthy food. I would recommend McDonalds to everyone who are in rush and want to grab a quick snack.

" "No theft insurance: smiles are only valuable if you give them away." "Smiles are great investments: the more you collect, the better you feel." "Antique smiles are valuable--so are newborn & middle aged ones." "Smiles are unbreakable--and mend broken hearts." "Be multilingual; smiles are the universal language." "A kind heart is a fountain of gladness, making everything in its vicinity freshen into smiles." ~Washington Irving A smile costs nothing, but gives much. A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who give. A smile takes but a moment, but the memory of it lasts forever. A smile brings rest to the weary, cheer to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad, and it is nature's best antidote for trouble. A smile cannot be bought, begged, borrowed or stolen, for it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is given away. Some people are too tired to give you a smile, so give them one of yours as no one needs a smile

The Noble Savage in the 20th Century Fiction

the small ideas make a change. The main part in a story, the one that seemingly makes the impact, who guides the consumer through its change, is the protagonist. The development in the reader or the watcher happens through the transformation of the hero. Usually the main character starts off as an outcast, somebody the society sees as unimportant or too strange. Then something happens that sends the hero on an adventure. The breaking point on his road is meeting a teacher an encounter that gives him the ability to face the adversary of the story. In the end the hero faces his villain, emerges a winner, detaches himself from his outcast status and becomes a significant part of the society. It could be said that the most important part of the hero's progress is this teacher, someone who gives guidance and the knowledge how to defeat the antagonist. Commonly this guide is from a different world and a stranger to the main character. He has alien ways and an exotic nature

Capital punishment should-to be abolished
1
doc

Capital punishment should to be abolished

Firstly capital punishment saves money compared to the alternative of life in prison because criminals deserve to die, not stay in jail and live comfortable life. Also when a killer stays in prison he takes up space in already over crowed prisons. Secondly it might prevent the fact that people who have killed someone before, would probably to it again. Because killer`s point of view does not change. Finally it would reassure the people close to the victim it would not happen again. Also it gives them the feeling that the death has been avenged. A family will feel less pain if the killer dies. In my opinion capital punishment should not be abolished, because if someone has committed a major crime such as rape, torture or murder deserves basically the same. I think we should use this policy: an eye for an eye tooth for a tooth.
