Even public figures have a right to privacy
The issue of whether or not the public figures deserve more privacy than they are given today is a complicated one. Some people claim that the public officials are constantly disturbed by the media and the privacy for them should be enforced more. But there are individuals who believe that the public figures do not deserve more privacy because they have signed up for their life to be well known.
Those for increased privacy for public figures, supporters of more privacy:
+ Privacy is a right that shouldn’t be taken away from anyone no matter how famous they are
+ They are not obligated to share any details of their private life
+ The journalists publish news and pictures, which have a negative impact on the public official's reputation (exaggerations, misrepresentation of facts)
Those against increased privacy for public figures, opponents of more privacy
- Public figures should expect people to be interested in their private lives
- Privacy is often indistinguishable from publicity when a person uses his or her personal life and private matters to attract attention and seek for influence and power (making money from the news and pictures reported and taken by tabloids and paparazzi)
Conclusion:
To conclude, the public figures have always had less privacy than the average citizens, but , all in all, the public officials definitely have the right to keep the details of their private life undisclosed. To my mind, people are less interested in public figures' personal lives than the media claims them to be.

How the right of privacy was viewed in the 1890s and 2010s.

Essay How the right of privacy was viewed in the 1890s and 2010s. Comparison between two articles by Warren & Brandeis and Julie Cohen The two articles have questioned - What is privacy ? The simplest answer would be that the privacy is a human right and like in the first article by Warren & Brandeis, they quote Judge Cooly who sayd that, the privacy is the right to be let alone. This means, that a person is free to go and do what ever the person wants, no one has a right to harm him/her physically or mentally and vice versa. What ever the person decides to do, nobody else has the right to know about it without persons premission. Julie Cohen starts her essay with a point that privacy has the image problem. In the world where there is no mobile platforms, data mining social meedia, in simple words the internet, its easyer to leave the person alone, but what can we do in the world where is very difficult to be incognito because your

People care more about their privacy and avoid „big brother“ foreshadowing. It is important to know what social media platforms promise and are they really going to keep it. Users should think about what they share and what kind of information they generate. Because it is all recorded and some info can be traced back to real people. Privacy and data protecion topics are becoming more and more important and the amouts of data generated is becoming larger. When wrongly access this kind of data, a lot damage could be done by

THE HISTORY OF JOURNALISM

Williams. In the 1920s, as modern journalism was just taking form, writer Walter Lippmann and American philosopher John Dewey debated over the role of journalism in a democracy. Their differing philosophies still characterize a debate about the role of journalism in society and the nation- state. The journalist became the middleman. When elites spoke, journalists listened and recorded the information, distilled it, and passed it on to the public for their consumption. The public is not smart enough to understand complicated, political issues. Furthermore, the public was too consumed with their daily lives to care about complex public policy. Therefore the public needed someone to interpret the decisions or concerns of the elite to make the information plain and simple. Bill Kovach and Tom Rosenstiel propose several guidelines for journalists in their book "The Elements of Journalism". Because journalism's first loyalty is to the citizenry, journalists are

Even a modest detached house, surrounded by garden, gives the rerequired suggestion of rural life. Most people would be happy to live in a cottage, and if this is a thatched cottage so much the better. Most people try to avoid living in blocks of flats. Flats, they feel, provide the least amount of privacy. The people who live in flats are those who cannot afford to live anywhere else. The dislike of living in flats is very strong despite of that they are

word-of-mouth channel! Mass Media Influence It is hard to argue with the fact that mass media has a compelling effect on the human mind. Especially on minds which are more impressionable. For example, the mass media influence on children is understandably higher than it is in adults. So how exactly does mass media influence us? Mass Media Influence on Youth There is a burgeoning need amongst the youth to be accepted as a part of a group, to be popular, to have friends and relationships with people of the opposite sex etc. Mass media experts understand this need of the people and hence they come out with advertisements on TV, or in the newspapers, or on websites on how people can be more popular using a certain product. Most advertisements you see which are aimed at the youth generally talk about the 'cool quotient' of the product and how it is going to be the next 'in-thing'. And if you want to stay ahead of the game, it is absolutely
