School uniform pros and cons

School uniform's pros and cons School uniforms are verry popular nowadays, mostly in private schools. But would school uniforms make our lives better? There is no doubt that school uniforms have many advantages. Firstly, they encourage discipline. It would also free children from the pressure to buy trendy clothes. All the childrens would be dressed in the same way and as a result it would cut out a school bullying, which is often used, because some children do not have money to buy expensive and fashionable clothes and they are bullied because of that. Children would not have to think

How can I be certain [sure] that I am in the truth? 4. Which are precepts of Descartes' method? Only accept what is self-evident. Analysis. Synthesis. Enumeration. 5. Descartes will only accept one specific kind of ideas: which and why? He will only accept clear and distinct ideas that are indubitable. Because the complex ideas could then be constructed using the simple ideas. 6. How does Descartes call his method and why is it not skeptical? Methodic doubt. Because the goal of this doubt is not to be skeptical but to prove that some things can not be doubted. 7. “I think, therefore I am”. What does this phrase means? If I think, I cannot doubt my own existence. 8. What kind of idea is for Descartes the idea of God? What does it mean? Innate idea. If God is God, he should be perfect. 9. She thought it will be better to call the date off but on the other hand it will add fuel to the fire. Sally changed her dress and wait Michael to come over. They were walking at park arm in arm and were wining and dining. Without a doubt, Michael was head over heels about her but Sally didn't like him. She wanted to give him the slip. Without doubt, television has a lot to answer for. There's no doubt that these large monopolies have a great deal of power. The beggar's rags, fluttering in air, Does to rags the heavens tear. The soldier, arm'd with sword and gun, Palsied strikes the summer's sun. The poor man's farthing is worth more Than all the gold on Afric's shore. One mite wrung from the lab'rer's hands Shall buy and sell the miser's lands; Or, if protected from on high, Does that whole nation sell and buy. He who mocks the infant's faith Shall be mock'd in age and death. He who shall teach the child to doubt The rotting grave shall ne'er get out. He who respects the infant's faith Triumphs over hell and death. The child's toys and the old man's reasons Are the fruits of the two seasons. The questioner, who sits so sly, Shall never know how to reply. He who replies to words of doubt Doth put the light of knowledge out. The strongest poison ever known Came from Caesar's laurel crown. Whatever your views, there is no doubt that working as a doctor is a rewarding job with many advantages and disadvantages. There are several arguments in favour of working as a doctor. To begin with, doctors are rarely out of work because there is always a demand for people to treat the sick or injured. Proposal

We have to wait in the line for 10 minutes and then we have only 10 minutes for eating and together with having no space while having a lunch it makes a big chaos. Even our school chefs have asked us to talk with our teachers to make it reasonable and convenient for everybody. Students and also school canteen workers feel, like they don't have a say in school affairs. As a result workers may start protesting and pupils will go eat comfort food to fill their stomachs. I highly doubt, that even our teachers like our current situation, that is why we should do something about it. I still don't understand how have we not done anything yet. We should make our lunch brake system comfortable and practical for everyone. It means, that we should start using our old system, which is hopefully going to lead to improved eating behaviours.

that the results of examinations for students of private schools are higher than in state schools. On the one hand i know that well-off families prefer public education because it will give their children more opportunities. On the other hand when a lot of children learn in private schools then may be in the future we ought to for pay education in every school. But i hope that it will not happen. Another important difference concerns facilities. There is no doubt that the bigger private schools have better facilities.Such as science laboratories, computer classes, sport facilities than many state schools. In conclusion i would like to say that state and public schools are different but children learn in every school when they wish it.

The school year should last from 1st September to 22 June There is no doubt that the school has a big role in our lives. It teatches us how to cope with our life. But what are the pros and cons, if the school would last longer? Firstly, if the government wants to shorten our summer break, then we would not have enough time to rest or visit our relatives. And when the school starts again in the autumn, then many of us would have no motivation to learn. And because of that, our grades starts to deteriorate.

imprisonment, with absolutely no possibility of parole, then the public was more divided. The reasons for being against capital punishment can be that there is always a possibility for error and the person who has been sentenced to death was actually innocent. There can be extenuating circumstances like growing up in a traumatic environment, where they have been neglected or treated violently. Capital punishment should be carried out only if there is absolutely no doubt that the accused is really guilty and does not show any remorse for his actions.

What methods should parents and governments use to tackle obesity in schoolchildren

What methods should parents and governments use to tackle obesity in schoolchildren?

If this is what kids are used to doing in a young age the more likely they will use the same technique when raising their own children in the future. An alternative approach that is definitely not less important- providing schoolkids many interesting and unusual workouts such as archery and rowing so every child can chose his/ her passion, something that keeps them exited and as a big bonus- fit. Maintaining unique trainings can be expensive and troublesome for schools. There can be no doubt that this is a place where the government should take action and channel more money into children after school activities. In conclusion, giving schoolkids more challenging and fun opportunities to do sports would surely change their life for the better. But changing eating habits is more efficient way for lowering obesity rates among children. This is the method that I support.

I'm sure you will make lots of friends who have similar hobbies with you. After all, you have always been very sociable and kind. About your home life. You told me that your dad is often on trips and when he gets home he is exhausted. Honestly, I doubt your father will ask you to do something with him, since he is always resting. I think you should take the initiative and ask him to the cinema. You could also take your sisters and your mother with you. Spending quality time like that with your family will certainly cheer everyone up. I'm going to have to cut my letter short, because I have to write some sort of a letter for tomorrow for my English lessons. Say hello to your sisters for me and write me as soon as you can! Many people have said that Michael Jackson lost his childhood and tried to realize it when he was a grown-up. His father was very tough on him and to his brothers and sisters. There were many rumours about him, which he tried to escape from. There is no doubt that Michael Jackson is one of the greatest singers of all times, but what did he gain from it? I think people are happy only when they do things what they like in the way how they like. There is no sense is being someone you are not. We are born to this life as individuals so we shouldn't try to be someone who we are not. There are many disadvantages for being famous, thus one should think carefully before which career to choose.

Book review. A&Q (Slumdog Millionaire)

Millionaire. Although I had not seen the film I thought that the theme of the book and the film was very interesting. So I decided to read the novel first, because the chances are (predictably and almost consistently so), I would like the book better. Most of the movies that were based on books like Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, and the more recent Marley and Me and multiple award- winning Slumdog Millionaire for example, fell short to its namesake. While they were no doubt entertaining films, fans of the book would have expected more and so would I. The book had a depth and a feeling, that was to me, lost in the movie. Page after page, I was riveted. His mis- adventures were more real, more painful, more lonely somehow - even though he was all of that in the movie too. His ambition was driven by more than love. And through all his life, his personality shone through. He was earnest, street-wise, innocent, likeable, and always, unassumingly profound.

suiting or useful(for example when daughter marries to richer man ) Just like in the movie when Viola de Lesseps was supposed to marry Lord Wessex because his father had already arranged her betrothal, even though she was searching for true love and her heart belonged to William Shakespeare. Everything was exactly in balance, all of the actors played their roles well, they fit into their roles perfectly and I doubt there are many actors who could have done better job. The plot was built up well, it was so interesting and it just kept you stuck in the movie without even letting you loose for a minute. Scenery, clothing and all that background activity suited perfectly for the 16'th century when it all took place. And definitely have to mention the witty humor , for example when Will was fighting with Lord Wessex in theatre and he fell down from stage in a real funny way hitting his head on stage.

Christmas

Nevertheless, Christmas is like a national shopping season. It has become a stress-filled time of the year. Depression is a major symptom of this holiday season. For those who follow the precepts of Christian faith, this is supposed to be the most joyous of all holidays. It is supposed to be a holy day, one filled with peace and serenity, with memories and hope. A day when we renew our faith and strengthen ties with family and friends. Our society is guided by mass media and without a doubt, these media groups have changed the way we see Christmas and every other holiday. Finally, I would say that Christmas is always a time for love, joy and family. Everyone from the kids to the grandparents should be eager to give and to receive. We should not spend our Christmas standing in lines in malls waiting to pay abnormal amounts of money for something material instead of spendind our time at home with people we love and care for.

pay these fees. However, more and more people want to go to university, putting student funding systems under pressure. So should Governments charge fees for higher education, or provide it for free? Government should charge fees because it is well known that the `education' is often only a small part of the university experience. Students spend far too much time and money drinking, partying and wasting time. Even if there is an argument for funding higher education itself (which we doubt) then it is very hard to justify why low income workers should pay taxes to support the `student lifestyle' of people who attend universities. As long as students don't pay, or understand, the full cost of their tuition, they are more likely to take it for granted and be wasteful as they currently do. Though my side of this is that the off time from university broadens every student's horizon more or less. Governments should provide it for free because university might not be as essential

Law is known for it's conservatism and legalese might have maintained so well because many lawyers have learned it's value and feel special to be one of the few who can understand it. Secondly, legal language includes some very complex linguistic practices of an ancient profession, so maybe the best way to sound like a professional is to use as much legal vocabulary as possible. There are literally thousands of terms to choose from. No one will doubt that you are a real professional if you use the right expressions. Body 2: That brings us to a fact that regular people have been frustrated with legal language for quite some time since it can sometimes be confusing and unnecessary. There is a smaller chance that your document will be misunderstood when plain language is used. Missouri, Nebraska and Minnesota. Southwestern states are Oklahoma, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona and Texas. The Mountain states got it's name from the rocky area which they're located on. Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah and Colorado fall under that category. And the states that are left on the shore of the Pacific Ocean are named after that. These are Oregon, Washington, California, plus Alaska and Hawaii. The United States of America is without a doubt the most popular country in the world. It is called the New World and a lot of people travel there to find a new and a better life. It is one of the world's most ethnically diverse and multicultural nations, which offers a fascinating experience to every visitor.

"Dear John" - analüüs

distance was another important aspect time. When the time passed, both lives moved on and in both lives happened a lot. Then the film convinced me, that love isn't only trust, yearning for the loved one and desire, but also a terrible pain that makes people act the way that hurts themselves. When Savannah married with the other guy, I felt dissapointment in love and in it's capability. Me, as a young girl, who has whole life to live, shouldn't let such feelings and emotions, that makes me doubt in love and happiness, inside of me, yet the film made me do it. I can't say, that now I'm stoutnesser and braver about the future, because what we truly expect from life is fondness, care and love what is the jackpot of life and true happiness, but if (from what I saw from the film) I have to suffer because of love, lose some years and feel the pain, then right now, what I really want, is to stay in this moment for ever and protect myself from the future.

Ways of expressing the Future

When we get there, we'll have dinner. Present Perfect can also be used instead of Present Simple when the completion of the event is emphasised. When we've had a rest, we'll go out. Other future references 1. Hope This can be followed by either present or future tenses. I hope it doesn't rain. I hope it won't rain. 2. Other verbs followed by will. Most verbs of thinking can be followed by will if there is a future reference. These include: think, believe, expect, doubt. I expect the train will be late. I doubt whether United will win. 3. Just / just about to Just can be used to describe something on the point of happening. Hurry up! The train is just leaving / just about to leave. 4. Shall The use of shall for first person in future reference is generally considered to be restricted in British English and possibly declining in use. For some speakers, shall is used in formal speech and in written language.

Agreeing & disagreeing

I bet you can get traditional Spanish wines and beers! That isn't the point. I'm talking about soft drinks. That's highly debatable. Some of the exhibits you see from contemporary artists are no more than tins of baked beans and piles of bricks. That's highly unlikely. Everybody understands that films and plays contain drama and that the purpose of the news is to report on what's wrong. 6.4 Disagreeing diplomatically (through doubt) The elderly are often confused by modern telephones and automatic switchboards. I wonder whether that's the case. Isn't it rather that they enjoy getting out and about instead of sitting next to a telephone? What I'm saying is that older people have been there before. They've had the problems and found the solutions. I'm not sure that it works like that. You see today's young live in a different age.

transmission to the engine, controlled through a foot pedal next to the brake pedal. These vehicles have a manual transmission. If your car doesn’t have a clutch pedal, it has an automatic transmission.Automatic transmissions depend on a special fluid called ATF to cool and lubricate the moving parts inside. But the fluid does more than that: In fact, it’s no exaggeration to say that the fluid actually drives the vehicle. So there’s little doubt that the fluid is very important to the transmission’s operation. This is why it’s important to check the transmission fluid level and condition regularly and to have your transmission serviced at least Manual gearbox ● As the name suggests, the selection of gear ratios on manual transmissions is accomplished by manually shifting a gear selector mechanism that disengages one gear and selects another.
