Pollution and destruction change the balance of nature. Each species in a habitat (for example, wood, jungle, marsh or forest) needs and helps the rest. As a result, forests are been cutting down. And what has taken the place of these green, natural places? Houses, farms, cities, streets, roads and factories. Because of this (and pollution, too) several species are dying all over the world. In addition , if one animal, bird or insect disappears, all the others suffer too. And all living beings belong to the circle of life. And when one link is missing, the circle of life can´t function normally. A further problem is hunting. Man has always been a hunter. He still is. But many modern hunters don't just kill for food - they kill for profit. And that´s wrong ! There are, however some solutions. We should make more laws, that protect the animals in danger.
Losing is an everyday phenomenon, whether you lose a sock, a pen or your keys, but aswell things, people tend to get lost too. Some are found and alive, but some are not, and it´s a tragedy. I can´t imagine losing a beloved one, it would be awful, but so many of us have to face this terrible situation, where you don´t know if the person is safe and alright. As always, there are situations where the person doesn´t want to be found, or where she/he disappears without a trace. The reasons of disappearing are very variable, from criminal cases, trafficking in human beings, getting recruited as prostitutes to very hidden and deeply personal matters. The average amout of missing people in Estonia is 199 persons per year, although 70% of the missing persons in 2001-2005 were found alive, luckily. When they arrive, they buy supplies and camp in the woods. During their trip they make new friends, but also get into fight with two mean boys, do some chores for an old lady (Miss Williams), get lost, build a cabin and go fishing, swimming and sailing. After Joe and Kathleen have done some chores for Miss Williams, they buy a boat and camp on an island in the middle of the lake. Soon a rainstorm starts, but luckily they get rescued by the Lake Warden before the island disappears under water. In the end the kids get permission to stay with Miss Williams for the rest of the summer and they do't have to return to Mrs.McCafferty I think the book was too predictable and a little bit boring for me, but younger readers will certainly enjoy it. For a children's book, I think it's great. It feels like I’m between some kind of war between my heart and mind. I’d like to go out and meet the ones I have been missing, but it would be so selfish of me. If I were you I’d stay indoors and avoid contact with others it really is a serious matter. Because of the prisonlike position I’m in, I’m often on the verge of crying and I feel like I can’t control my feelings anymore. Despite the insane amount of worry and stress I still hope that the virus slowly disappears and we all can go on with our regular lives. It would be great if the scientists would discover the cure and all the ill would get the treatment they need. But I don’t think it will happen in near future. I hope that COVID-19 is afraid of warm weather and people will not get sick in April or May. In the meantime I think that Estonian government will keep all the schools locked down until 6th April. Mythology Malina Malina is the Sun goddess of the Inuit people who live in Greenland. The word "Inuit" means "people." Malina and her brother, the Moon god Anningan, lived together. They got into a terrible fight and Malina spread dirty, black grease all over her brother's face. In fear, she ran as far as she could into the sky and became the Sun. Anningan chased after her and became the Moon. Anningan Anningan often forgets to eat, so he gets thinner as the days go by. Every month, the Moon disappears for three days while Anningan eats. He then returns to chase his sister once again. This eternal chase makes the Sun alternate in the sky with the Moon. Anningan is the name of the Moon god of some of the Inuit people that live in Greenland. The word "Inuit" means "people." Anningan continually chases his sister, Malina, the Sun goddess, across the sky. During this chase, he forgets to eat, and he gets much thinner. This is symbolic of the phases of the moon, particularly the crescent.
