My Ideal Room

My Ideal Room My ideal room should be a medium sized. It would have probably more than one window, to have more natural light. There might be some stylish curtains in front of windows; their color might be something in the middle, not too dark, but also not too light. Walls, which would be covered with wallpaper, would be the same type, as the curtains. I'd probably have hard floor, which would have maybe one carpet on it. All the furniture, I'd have in my room, would be in some kind of a brownish variation, to make the room more natural. But I'd combine the entire furniture whit some hi-tech technology, for example a powerful computer, maybe also a 5.1 stereo system, surely a big TV set, about "32" inches diagonal and maybe a big deck too. In my room there would be one medium sofa, maybe one or two

A memory of my childhood

A memory of my childhood Elizabeth Grünbaum It was snowing outside and the bright winter sun shined into the room through the curtains. I woke up early that beautiful day, because there were guests coming over. Like in any other winter morning i rushed to the window sill to see if the dwarves have left something in my christmas stocking. I remember exactly, what was in there that day, it was kinder surprise. I liked kinder surprises a lot, because the chocolate would melt in your mouth and there was a surprise between the two halves of the chocolate. At 1 o'clock, the guests arrived. They were my grandparents

When you move to the second floor, then there are three bedrooms, bathroom, toilet and wardrobe. Two bedrooms are for my children and one for me and my husband ( if i have them ). My own bedroom has one wall which is dark brown, ohter walls are olso white like in the down stairs. A bare tree has been drawn on the white wall with transition on the brown wall. It has light pink flower buds. In my room there are also big windows preceded by silk curtains ( silver ) which reach on the floor. I need a big mirror and silver ceiling lamp. In conclusion I can say that my perfect house is close to the nature and there are not much stuff in the house, but all the stuff there is, it's all organized. There are a lot of things, which make the living as homey as possible. I am surrounded by warm colours, big windows - and all it is what i want.

Moulin Rouge

When the Duke found out about Satine and Christian, he told Zidler he will have Christian killed if Satine is not his. Satine and Christian are planning to leave Mouline Rouge, but then then Zidler informs Satine that she is dying. Satine changes her mind and stays in Mouline Rouge. The night of the show Christian sneakes into the Moulin Rouge. Satine starts to sing the song Christianwrote to express their love. Christian starts to sing with her and returns to the stage. After the curtains close, Satine succumbs to tuberculosis. Before she dies she tells him to write their story. It is movie about how strong love could be and no one can stop them. Despite the tragic end it was a beautiful love story. I think this is one of the best movies where Nicole Kidman has acted in. I would recommend this to anyone who likes musicals and also is a fan of love stories. Kätlin Koolmeister

In the bathroom is a big vintage bath, a music player, a stack of CD's, and a dark wooden shelf, where are all the stuff you may need when taking a bath. In the windowsill are a lot of candles and whenever you want to, they create a romantic vibe in the room. When you need some privacy, you can pull down the curtains. In March 1939, Britain announced that it would be supportive to Poland when Germany would invade it, but German invaded anyway. Hitler and Stalin had secretely signed an agreement dividing up Poland between the two powers. On 3rd September 1939, when many people were already preparing for war, Neville Chamberlain, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom at that time, broadcast to the nation, announcing the declaration of war in Germany from Britain. People dig air-raid shelters, or sew blackout curtains. In May 1940, when Winston Churchill replaced Neville Chamberlain as Prime Minister got Britain a more aggressive war-time leader. In 1942 Roosevelt and Churchill agreed to make defeating Germany their first priority. After three more years, in 1945, Germany surrendered unconditionally. As a result for Britain - Great Britain lost over 300,000 fighting men and over 60,000 civilians in WWII. Sources http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/kenanderson/histempsequel/ http://www.megaessays

After having a great laugh once more over Hammonds brilliant motorhome, James May came in what appeared to be a rocketship stuck on a Lotus. We didn't want to stop for long at James's rocketship with a bog next to your head so we showed James Richards motorhome. James took it all together with one nice sentence: ,,It's a Land Rover with curtains on the outside". That is pretty much all there is to it though Richard assured us that it will all be explained when we get to our camping site. No time later we were handed a challange. We had to drive over 200 km to Cornwall. As James May was boasting about his motorhome, Richard couldn't really do the same. The noise the motorhome ,,parts" or ,,walls" made was just terrible. Putting that aside, according to

When the clock struck one the whole apparition disappeared. The landlord the day before head over ears in dept was expecting a huge sum of money. At the same time his butler died unexpectedly and before he died the butler revealed he had been eavesdropping on the devils wedding. At Rataskaevu number 16 there is nowadays a house with a painted window; the landlord had the corner room walled up for ever and to hide the fact he had a proper window with curtains painted on the wall. Marzipan or Mart's Bread Historians might tell you that marzipan, that sweet confection made from almonds and sugar, comes from Persia or Italy, but local legend insists the delicacy was invented right here at Tallinn's Town Hall Pharmacy. Long ago, so the story goes, a town alderman fell ill and summoned the apothecary to prescribe a cure. The

dreadful. I wouldn't be faced with the choice of either walking two miles in the rain to school or accepting a ride in the Chief's cruiser. "I'm glad you like it," Charlie said gruffly, embarrassed again. It took only one trip to get all my stuff upstairs. I got the west bedroom that faced out over the front yard. The room was familiar; it had been belonged to me since I was born. The wooden floor, the light blue walls, the peaked ceiling, the yellowed lace curtains around the window -- these were all a part of my childhood. The only changes Charlie had ever made were switching the crib for a bed and adding a desk as I grew. The desk now held a secondhand computer, with the phone line for the modem stapled along the floor to the nearest phone jack. This was a stipulation from my mother, so that we could stay in touch easily. The rocking chair from my baby days was still in the corner.

Kittay reminds us of Peggy Parish's children's books, whose main character, the housemaid Amelia Bedelia, is deaf to such variations. When asked to `dust the furniture', she uses a powder-puff to spread face powder on the furniture; when required to `draw the curtains', she produces a sketch of them; and when asked to `dress the chicken', she puts a miniature pair of trousers and shirt on a bird intended for that night's dinner. (1987: 111) "Dust," "draw" and "dress" each have different senses, however closely those senses may be related to each other. Unfortunately for our purposes, each of the two leading theories of ana-

"My love, should not you like to see a place of which you have heard so much?" said her aunt; "a place, too, with which so many of your acquaintances are connected. Wickham passed all his youth there, you know." Elizabeth was distressed. She felt that she had no business at Pemberley, and was obliged to assume a disinclination for seeing it. She must own that she was tired of seeing great houses; after going over so many, she really had no pleasure in fine carpets or satin curtains. Mrs. Gardiner abused her stupidity. "If it were merely a fine house richly furnished," said she, "I should not care about it myself; but the grounds are delightful. They have some of the finest woods in the country." Elizabeth said no more--but her mind could not acquiesce. The possibility of meeting Mr. Darcy, while viewing the place, instantly occurred. It would be dreadful! She blushed at the very idea, and thought it would be better to speak openly to her aunt than to run such a risk
