Bullying Some people are bullies. They want to have attention. Many people at school only laugh at it, nobody tries to stop it. Bullies at school are usually bigger children. Teachers are always against bullyng, and they know that it is bad. When I was jounger i was bullied by my grandfather, and I bullied him too.We are now good friends, we do not bully each other any more. When I was younger I was a bully, because I thought that it was cool. Now I understand that bullies have mental deseases. I hate bullies and being bullied.
In the first place, school uniforms help to prevent violence in school territory, for example uniforms can prevent gangs from forming on campus and identify intruders in the school yard. Secondly, school uniforms increase a sense of belonging and school pride. It encourages discipline, lessens economic and social barriers between students. Besides that there is no need to spend money on trendy clothes. Thirdly, school uniforms make students a target for bullies from other schools. In addition to that, uniforms give students no freedom of expression. Last but not least, school uniforms are an unfair additional expense for parents and besides that a financial burden for poor families. To sum up, it can be said that school uniforms have both good and bad sides. In my opinion, school uniforms are rather beneficial because they protect students from intruders and bullies and lessen barriers between students. Merit Vislapu 11R

Tolerance Ladies and gentlemen, before I move to my actual topic, think with me for a second on this scenario... A black exchange student from Kenya comes to our school and you see him getting beaten up by a bunch of bullies without no apparent reason, what would you do? More then a few of us pretend as if they had not seen anything. I myself would feel awful, but I wouldn't know what to do either. Although I would condone myself with the idea, that life is difficult and it's just something you have to deal with. But does tolerance mean that all manners should be accepted? No, of course not. Manners that disrespect or hurt others, like being mean or bullying, or

especially on school days; or belongings that come home ripped or are missing altogether. If you suspect your child may be a victim, it's best not to ask the question outright. Dr. Sarah Shea, director of the Child Development Clinic at the IWK Health Centre in Halifax, suggests: "Ask your child indirectly how he or she is spending lunch hour; or what it's like walking to school, walking home or taking the school bus. Ask if there are any children at school who are bullies, without personalizing it. And when you meet with teachers, ask how they deal with conflict when it occurs. If you are certain your child is being bullied, let the school know that you take it seriously, and ask what can be done to help." Some parents find it embarrassing to learn that their child is being bullied. But a few simple rules make it a lot easier to deal with: · Be a good listener. Stay calm, and give your child plenty of time to tell you how he or she feels
restrain his anger and recklessness. Luke is the hero the consumer follows. Yoda is the mentor who gives the actual lessons. Luke does not teach us anything, we learn with him in course of the story. Yoda is the savage with the quirky apprearance, strange voice and grammatically incorrect sentences, bottomless wisdom and badass Force skills. Mr. Miyagi from Karate Kid (1984) is another example. The hero here is Daniel LaRusso, an outcast who can not handle his bullies. He meets a handyman Mr. Miyagi who agrees to teach Daniel the tricks of karate so he could build his confidence, defeat his villain and get the girl he likes. Again we see Miyagi as something unusual he's japanese, has a weird teaching technique and uncommon philosophy. He is alien to the western consumer and therefore an etalon to a noble savage. There are many more examples in the film indusrty Morpheus from The Matrix (1999) and Pai Mei from Kill Bill vol.2 (2004) among others
