My room

My room I live in a comfortable city flat in a 9-stored block of flats not far from the centre of Tallinn. It is not a very green place, but still there are many trees around the house and in summer the yard looks very beautiful and cozy. The house is located comfortably because there a few supermarkets, pharmacies around. My flat is on the first floor. It's very comfortable and well-planned. There are three rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a balcony. The largest room in our flat is the living room and me and my husband room too. My family uses it as a sitting room. On the left there is my bed and desk. The desk has a lot of drawers where I keep my text-books, notes, pens, pencils and other necessary things. On the right there is a sofa and a built-in wardrobe. In the right corner there is a comfortable arm-chair. Beside it stands a lamp with blue shade. I like to turn on the lamp, sit in the arm-chair and read an interesting book. Ther...

My Ideal Room

My Ideal Room My ideal room should be a medium sized. It would have probably more than one window, to have more natural light. There might be some stylish curtains in front of windows; their color might be something in the middle, not too dark, but also not too light. Walls, which would be covered with wallpaper, would be the same type, as the curtains. I'd probably have hard floor, which would have maybe one carpet on it. All the furniture, I'd have in my room, would be in some kind of a brownish variation, to make the room more natural. But I'd combine the entire furniture whit some hi-tech technology, for example a powerful computer, maybe also a 5.1 stereo system, surely a big TV set, about "32" inches diagonal and maybe a big deck too. In my room there would be one medium sofa, maybe one or two closets, studying desk and some shelves for mainly storing CD-s and DVD-s. Of course there would b...

My perfect room

My perfect room My perfect room would be spacious. On the wall would be white wallpaper with light pink flowers. There would be a wooden floor with some fluffy carpets and a massive bed with a soft fluffy duvet wrapped in white, freshly washed 100% cotton covers. There would be a big fireplace with a beautiful painting on the wooden mantelpiece. An overstuffed cosy armchair with a soft blanket would be in front of the fireplace and a big cupboard would be next to the bed. There would be no technology because I would like there to be some peace and silence.

My favourite room

My favourite room I love my house and especially my own room. I am very interested in Feng Shui and I try to decorate my room for this style. When you decorate room you put there a piece of your soul. With room, where I moved five years ago, I have a lot of memories. The main object of the bedroom is a bed. Remember like in evening I lied there and read books, studied, dreamed. Sometimes mom came to me. She could always listen to me and give advice. From time to time we just lied in bed, talked about life, education, love and boys. My room is bright, simple and very comfortable. It's spacious, but not huge, on the other hand it's big enough to have a bookcase, where on shelves are neatly stacked books. We have a good library, where are collected the most interesting works like fiction, mysteries, classis and adventure literature. There are a lot of my favourite books that I have reread many times. I really ado...

To Room Nineteen

“To Room Nineteen” “To room nineteen” is considered to be one of the best short stories by Doris Lessing. The book takes place in a mid-twentieth century in London suburb. It gives insight about women’s rights and London society on these days. Showes how the perfect lives as they seemed from outside, acctually weren’t that ideal on the inside. The book itself is about a middle-aged woman, Susan, whose life is spinning around her four children, ideal husband and lovely home. Everything seems to be just perfect. When the youngest child went off to school, the seeming peace in this family is soon gone. Susan didn’t find the sense of freedom that she expected. She started thinking about herself she lost in her marriege life and was filled with emotions that were not inherent to her.. As she discovered that it was housework, children and husband, that made her lose her self-identity, she stared to hate everythin...

Book Report: The Spare Room

I read a book called The Spare Room. It is written by Helen Garner who is an Australian writer and journalist. She was born on 7th November in Geelong and now lives in Victoria. This novel has won several awards and that's one of the reasons I chose to read it. The Spare Room talks about a 64-year woman Helen who lives in Melbourne, Australia. One day, her friend Nicola who lives in Sydney calls and asks if she could stay with her for three weeks. The reason she calls is that she is a cancer patient who needs to be taken care of. As they have been friends for a long time, Helen gave her consent and welcomed Nicola in her home. In Melbourne Helen also has a treatment in an institution called the Theodore. Chemo hadn't worked on her and that is why she is looking for new options to heal though the cancer is already in stage four. In that institute she gets weird kind of treatments, for example administring loads of vitamiin C which makes ...

House of my dreams

House of my dreams Vsevolod Dolgov So, today I want to tell you about my house and house of my dreams. I live in a three-bedroom flat with my mother and brother. Our flat is very big, well, it is very big for me. It is very warm in there, but my mom says it's cold. I have my own room, and it is very cool, because it is like my own flat. I have all my things in there, such things like: a computer, books, my big bed, a guitar and diplomas. There, in my room, is all my life, if you want to know something about me, all you need is to visit my room. We live on the ground floor, and because of that, we do not get a lot of sun in the flat. Our city is not so big, but we live far from the center, our house is in the north-east of the city- it is about fifteen minutes by bus. But it is not so bad, in big cities you need fifty minutes! That’s why I love my city. My dream house should be located outside the city, where I...

Also, the house is located near the Comarket and behind the park. So it does not take much time to go to the shop and you have a very good opportunity to go jogging in the morning. Further, the rent is not expensive, only 800£ a month. Secondly, the house is very nice and spacious. It is a new stone building house or as the owner calls it, a castle. You do not have to worry about furnish, because it is fully- furnished. It has 2 floors and it contains 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Essay: My Ideal Home

My Ideal Home My ideal house would be a small detached villa on a quiet tropical island, preferably with an outdoor pool. The house is made of bricks. In my case I would have as many windows as possible. Light colour in the hall, it's the first thing you see when you walk into the house. There's not much space, therefore, this is fulfilled only essential things. On the right hand, there is a low cupboard, which is next to the vase of globeflowers. On the opposite wall, there is rocking chair and a peg. The ceiling is painted white and cream colored carpet covers the parquet. The next room consists of dining and livingroom. This is the biggest and the brightest room in this house. A rich mintcream walls and hardwood floors these two are well contrasted with furniture. One wall is all glass with a nice view of the ocean, so it's left almost uncovered. Only dining table and four cha...

Kiri sõbrale

Dear Ann, I am writing to you from my new house, that I just moved in yesterday. The house really looks fantastic, it is surrounded with a luxuriant garden. And it's a quiet area, but the best thing about it is that it is less that kilometer from the city center. Inside, the house is nice and comfortable. It has two floors. On the ground floor there is bed-rooms, a living-room, a bathroom with a shower, a dinning-room, a kitchen and a toilet. It is air-conditioned and well-furnished. My ideal house

My ideal house I like this house very much because of it's simplicity. Big windows make the house very commodious and white colours add this something-something to it. This house has a design concept to provide the one continuous wall folded in different directions setting up the various views. This is a house where I'd like to live when I'm in university. This house is quite small and is perfect for me when I don't have children. My career choi...

Letter of complaint

Dec 11, 2011 Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to inform you about my bad experiences I had while staying at your hotel from 1st of December to 4th of December. First of all, I stayed at a small room with noisy guests in the next room. Although, I had been told that I would be staying at a large private room far away from other guests. Second of all, the food was terrible. However, the brochure said that you have one of the best chefs in your hotel and that the food will be amazing. Furthermore, when I got the bill, I was shocked how overcharged I was. I assume you will replace my bad experiences with a full refund. I hope that this will not happen anymore and you improve your service. Yours faithfully, Kristi Rapper

My dream home

My dream home My dream home would be a beautiful two-storey detached house in a small town. The house is surrounded by a nice garden full of gorgeous plants and a lot of types of flowers. I would also hire a gardener, so I can have time for my other duties. There are many spacious rooms in my house that are in well-lit and pastel tones. There are a living room, a kitchen and lightly coloured guest room on the ground floor. On the first floor there is also a living room, two nurseries, a toilet and a study with a bookshelf that covers the entire wall. I would hang pictures of my travelles on the walls, so it's easier to talk about my trips to my friends and family. As I'm the quiet type I would like to have the house in the suburbs. I think it would be nice if it were to be a gated community.

Chat rooms

The first and most important thing you need to realize about the Internet is that you can find anything and anyone on the Internet that you can find in the real world. The only difference is that in the Internet you have a greater deal of anonymity that you get in the real world. Can chat rooms be dangerous? Most definitely. Particularly channels that clearly are catering to younger children. Pedophiles go where the kids are, and that is just as true on the Internet as in the "real world". Does that mean you should avoid all chat channels? Not at all. Just be aware of what you are doing and saying, and if you have small children, be sure to monitor their activity on the Internet. There are several programs, as I recall, that allow parents to track what their children are seeing and doing while on-line. One of the biggest threats on chat rooms is the presence of pedophiles, online stalkers and other predators always looking to exploit...

Complaint letter

Dear Sir, My name is ... I am writing this letter following my stay at your hotel, Hotel Titanic. I stayed in room 603 from September 3rd to September 10th. I am wiriting becouse of the poor level of service and overall an unpleasant experience. When I first got to the hotel, I had to wait for 15 minutes in the reception before a young woman came, and helped us book in. Throughout my stay I was served mediocre food. The bathroom wasen't cleaned properly and the room servise was pretty bad. The room servise rearly changed my bed sheets and towels. There were 6 power-cuts wich each lasted for atleast 2 minutes. Worse still, I had an extremly noisy neighbour who was entertaining his visitors until 4 AM, two nights in a row. I even complained to the manager but that didn't impove the situation until the third day. Overall the stay wasen't worth the cost but I am not asking for a chargeback. I just hope that you will improve your customer...

Agatha Cristie - The Clocks

Book Review I read a book The Clocks by Agatha Cristie. It is an exciting detective story about a investigation that takes place when a unknown dead male was found in a blind lady's hotel room. The dead body was found when the blind lady, Miss Pebmarsh called to the secretary bureau and needed a stenographer to her room at three o' clock. The stenographist, Sheila Webb found the body lying on the ground after she went in. The investigation begins when two police inspectors Colin Lamb and Dick Hardcastle start to question people who lived nearby. Since the police dont get very far, Hercule Poirot is hired to solve the case. Particular intrest in this story will be on Josiah Bland and Valerie Bland, because it is found that Josiah had another wife long time ago, who is now dead. The family come into a lot of money, but they cant collect it because Josiahs ex-wife is already deceased. Th...
