swaying at the stairs and smiling her sunny smile at him. "Your highness!" said youth and wanted to make a deep bow, but a sudden laughter stopped him. "What on earth are you doing?" asked the princess and came downstairs waving with her fan. "Oh!" she shouted then and stopped. She was staring at the baby now, whom was scared by such a sudden voice and started crying. "Could you please be a bit quieter, your highness?" whispered the man to the lady who was widely smiling now. "I'm sorry," she said and carefully she came closer to the child. The soldier hugged it tighter and soon the little one stopped its cry and smiled to the young man. "Oh how adorable!" said the princess in a low voice. She wanted to touch it as well, but wondered if it would start crying again. "But I don't get it!" she said after some minutes of silence, "How did this happen? I mean...are you its...err...well, you know!"

But the fact is I was napping, and so gently you came rapping, And so faintly you came tapping--tapping at my chamber door, That I scarce was sure I heard you"--here I opened wide the door:-- Darkness there and nothing more. Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before; But the silence was unbroken, and the darkness gave no token, And the only word there spoken was the whispered word, "Lenore!" This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the word, "Lenore!" Merely this and nothing more. ..... http://www.blackcatpoems.com/p/the_raven.html "Spirits of the Dead" .... Now are thoughts thou shalt not banish-- Now are visions ne'er to vanish-- From thy spirit shall they pass No more--like dewdrops from the grass. The breeze--the breath of God--is still-- And the mist upon the hill Shadowy--shadowy--yet unbroken, Is a symbol and a token-- How it hangs upon the trees, A mystery of mysteries!

Creasha and Suzan weren't small any longer, 16 is almost as good as grown-up! But Denis never thought so; he still cared about his little sisters, as they were babies in his mind. A sudden voice broke the silence Creasha had almost fallen asleep in. Suzan opened her eyes as well and whispered," I've heard this sound before, it's dad's car." In a couple of minutes the twins got dressed. Suzan, who had short, red hair and big, deep blue eyes just like Creasha, put on a white knee-length dress, while black-haired sister chose a black dress and a shiny golden bracelet. "Why that?" Suzan asked her, yet the twin only smiled. They were similar, but thought very differently especially Creasha, who considered herself a mighty bounty hunter as

decided to go back to the field, but then he thought: "Alec told me to run...It means I mustn`t return to That place anymore...What should I do?" Suddenly the cloudy autumn sky turned red and the rider heard some wild animal roaring. This was unacceptable to his brave lionheart and he ran off to the forest not looking back even once. He wandered pointlessly many hours thinking of his friend whom was taken away by some mysterios beast. "Maybe the Devil really exists?" he whispered anxiously to the trees, but they didn`t give him an answer, they only swayed in the chilly wind. Finally there was light ahead, so the rider thanked the Queen and hurried towards an unexpected destination. He hoped it to be a village or even better a small city. But all his dreams broke when he suddenly heard this loud wild noise again. This time he didn`t run off, but still, he tried to stay in the bushes near the shadows of the trees.

Several houses looked promising that way, and Ben remembered that the folks in one particular house gave out great candy and were fun to visit. ." Their hearts still pounding a little, Ben and John walked along the street. The first house they came to was creepy- looking. A long sidewalk lead up to a front porch. In the moonlight, the house looked deserted. John whispered, "I think I remember somebody telling me that this house is haunted." "No way," Ben said, pushing open the gate. Suddenly, a strong gust of wind rustled the leaves and a loud crash came from the porch. Both friends jumped at the noise. "It's just the wind," Ben said a little shakily. Although

was already gone. The next noise she heard were someone's fast, almost running feet on the stairs that led to her chamber-room. Soon the door opened and a warm hug followed it was her older sister, Mary. Laurel wanted to say `good morning!' like she always did, but something in sister's crying voice stopped her. "Oh poor Laurel!" said Mary, "When Elisa entered the kitchen and said you didn't notice her, I...I just..." And she started to cry, feeling very helpless at the moment. Laurel whispered then, "Don't be sad! I'm sure the doctor will help me! I feel like in a dream...it's so..." But she couldn't be strong any more and soon tears overhold her as well. Fast footsteps were heard again, but this time an older man entered the small room. "The doctor is here, Mary!" announced Elisa and ran off to kitchen to look after the porridge soup they were supposed to have for breakfast. "Hello..." said Mary and the old man bowed politely back. After knocking twice a voice from inside called "Enter!" and the child went in. The room was filled with the smoke of numberless cigarettes. The girl, however, made no emotion and came closer to the old and ugly man sitting behind the table. "I wasn't lucky today, Grandpa," whispered the child and her light blue eyes filled with tears as she talked. The man smoked soundlessly, not even glancing at the girl. "But I'll go again, tomorrow, and bring you twice the money! I promise! So don't punish me, okay?" The man stood up and walked slowly towards the girl. But they always treated her kindly. She told her story again, this time right from the beginning, when Patrick had come in, and she was sewing, and he was tired, so tired he hadn't wanted to go out for supper. She told how she'd put the meat in the oven - it's there now, cooking" - and how she'd slopped out to the grocer for vegetables, and come back to find him lying on the floor. "Which grocer?" one of the detectives asked. She told him, and he turned and whispered something to the other detective who immediately went outside into the street. In fifteen minutes he was back with a page of notes, and there was more whispering, and through her sobbing she heard a few of the whispered phrases - "...acted quite normal...very cheerful...wanted to give him a good supper...peas...cheesecake...impossible that she..." After a while, the photographer and the doctor departed and two other men came in and took the corpse away on a stretcher

" I waited, fuming and expectant. "You're not going to let it go, are you?" "No." "In that case... I hope you enjoy disappointment." We scowled at each other in silence. I was the first to speak, trying to keep myself focused. I was in danger of being distracted by his livid, glorious face. It was like trying to stare down a destroying angel. "Why did you even bother?" I asked frigidly. He paused, and for a brief moment his stunning face was unexpectedly vulnerable. "I don't know," he whispered. And then he turned his back on me and walked away. I was so angry, it took me a few minutes until I could move. When I could walk, I made my way slowly to the exit at the end of the hallway. The waiting room was more unpleasant than I'd feared. It seemed like every face I knew in Forks was there, staring at me. Charlie rushed to my side; I put up my hands. "There's nothing wrong with me," I assured him sullenly. I was still aggravated, not in the mood for chitchat. "What did the doctor say?"

The battle began, and suddenly everyone heard a fast, yet light piano solo, that was never heard before. The notes were gentle, but grew stronger every second. Soon the judges stopped writing the report and just stared boldly at the Spice Dolls. They were marvelous. Especially good were two band members: the flashy vocalist and elegant Lady Butterfly behind the piano. Billy Owen smiled as he recognized his daughter, whose skills impressed all of the judges. "I think we've got a winner!" he whispered to the other judges and clapped after the final accord. Behind the curtains Alice was praised by all the band members and especially be Sheila. Yet some girls felt uneasy about the fact that Alice was so talented and young. They seemed happy and smiled with the others, but in their heart they felt jealousy. Soon, Alice went with Sheila to the Raven's, who were to competite against the Spice Dolls later. Matrix saw Alice on stage and now just stared smiling at her.

Of course Catherine wanted to go because her life had been quite sheltered until that moment. Bath was a resort for the wealthier members of British society, so it was a new world for Catherine. The life there differed from the one back at home. "How uncomfortable it is," whispered Catherine, "not to have a single acquaintance here" "Yes, my dear," replied Mrs. Allen, with perfect serenity, "it is very uncomfortable indeed." In Bath, Catherine met a young clergyman Henry Tilney. "Have you been long in Bath, madam?" "About a week," replied Catherine, trying not to laugh. "Really!" with affected astonishment. There's a sign on the wall but she wants to be sure 'Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings In a tree by the brook, there's a songbird who sings Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven Ooh, it makes me wonder Ooh, it makes me wonder There's a feeling I get when I look to the west And my spirit is crying for leaving In my thoughts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees And the voices of those who stand looking and it makes me wonder really makes me wonder And it's whispered that soon if we all call the tune Then the piper will lead us to reason And a new day will dawn for those who stand long And the forest will echo with laughter GUITAR SOLO If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now, It's just a spring clean for the May Queen Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run There's still time to change the road you're on 23 Ooh, it makes me wonder Ooh, Ooh, it makes me wonder

Paradox is a statement that seems impossible because it contains two opposing ideas that are both true (The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it. O. subdivisions following each other “attacca” (Largo-Allegretto-Moderato). In comparison with the Fourth Symphony, chromatics have been reduced, the character of the themes is more determined. The initial idea in its essence is concentrated on one phrase and is constantly searching. The progression of the chords belongs to different connected keys, it seems to be striving for a goal, and conjunct motion is preferred to disjunct. A depressive mood appears, the main theme is whispered by the violins: Example 132. 1 First performed on 4 Mar. 1971, by ERSO conducted by Roman Matsov In the second division (Allegretto), the theme is once more waltz-like, but with composure: Example 133. In the development, a new mournful theme is introduced on the background of counterpoint. The Largo at the end of the subdivision has the function of concentrated recapitulation in its dramatic mood.

"He is the best landlord, and the best master," said she, "that ever lived; not like the wild young men nowadays, who think of nothing but themselves. There is not one of his tenants or servants but will give him a good name. Some people call him proud; but I am sure I never saw anything of it. To my fancy, it is only because he does not rattle away like other young men." "In what an amiable light does this place him!" thought Elizabeth. "This fine account of him," whispered her aunt as they walked, "is not quite consistent with his behaviour to our poor friend." "Perhaps we might be deceived." "That is not very likely; our authority was too good." On reaching the spacious lobby above they were shown into a very pretty sitting-room, lately fitted up with greater elegance and lightness than the apartments below; and were informed that it was but just done to give pleasure to Miss Darcy, who had taken a liking to the room when last at Pemberley.
