I. Addressing and Preventing the Growing Threat of Lethal Autonomous Weapons. The Kingdom of Belgium recognizes the serious threat of Lethal Autonomous Weapons. Permitting machines to take human life in warfare or in law enforcement and other circumstances raises a host of serious ethical, legal, moral, societal and other concerns. Autonomous weapon systems, as defined, are not specifically regulated by International Humanitarian Law treaties either. However, it is undisputed that any autonomous weapon system must be capable of being used, and must be used, in accordance with IHL. These weapons don't yet exist but are under development in several countries. Once they are created, it may be too late to stop their use. Last December the government of Belgium funded a research conducted by 116 Professors and PhD students from Belgium, America and Georgia to investigate the threats and problems of so- called "Killer Robots"

European settlement. There were estimated 300,000 Indigenous Australians living on the continent. By the end of 19th century, because of the white people who came to conquer the new lands and mine the gold, there were only 60 000 native Australians left. Now there are about 160 000 Aborigines in Australia. Most of them live in the cities but some of them still try to follow the steps of their ancestors. The first undisputed recorded European sighting of the mainland of the Australian continent was made by the Dutch navigator Willem Janszoon, who sighted the coast in 1606. Then Abel Tasman visited an island near Australia in 1642 and the island was named after him Tasmania. Up to that time the continent was called Terra Australis Incognita. In 1770 British sailor James Cook came to Australia and landed in Botany Bay. He declared that Australia belonged to the Great Britain and named it New South Wales.

The scientificity of social sciences is often addressed in comparison with (undisputed) natural sciences. It is claimed that former are less scientific because of the lack of precise laws/predictions. It is sometimes said that social sciences are in a pre-paradigmatic state. This comparison is needless. Social sciences can maintain their specificities as long as they are practised with scientific method. The specificity of social sciences is that they study groups of human individuals, their actions and their intentions

Walpole is acknowledged for his influence within the Cabinet. Walpole served during the reigns of George I and George II. He became the sole and undisputed leader of the Cabinet. Walpole's influence on the politics of his day was tremendous. The Tories became a minor, insignificant faction, and the Whigs became a dominant and largely unopposed party. Walpole's strategy of keeping Great Britain at peace contributed greatly to the country's prosperity. Walpole also managed to secure the position of the Hanoverian Dynasty, and effectively countervailed Jacobitism.

Certain crucial features of the event deserve review. The People's Temple was a cultlike organization that was based in San Fran- cisco and drew its recruits from the poor of that city. In 1977. the Reverend Jim Jones-who was the group's undisputed political, social, and spiritual leader- moved the bulk of the membership with him to a jungle settlement in Guyana, South America. There, the People's Temple existed in relative obscurity until No- vember 18, 1978, when Congressmen Leo R. Ryan of California (who had gone to Guyana to investigate the cult), three members of Ryan's fact-finding party, and a cult defector were murdered as they tried to leave Jonestown by plane.
