At first, the Earnshaw children--a boy named Hindley and his younger sister Catherine--detest the dark- skinned Heathcliff. But Catherine quickly comes to love him, and the two soon grow inseparable, spending their days playing on the moors. After his wife's death, Mr. Earnshaw grows to prefer Heathcliff to his own son, and when Hindley continues his cruelty to Heathcliff, Mr. Earnshaw sends Hindley away to college, keeping Heathcliff nearby. Three years later, Mr. Earnshaw dies, and Hindley inherits Wuthering Heights. He returns with a wife, Frances, and immediately seeks revenge on Heathcliff. Once an orphan, later a pampered and favored son, Heathcliff now finds himself treated as a common laborer, forced to work in the fields. Heathcliff continues his close relationship with Catherine, however. One night they wander to Thrushcross Grange, hoping to tease Edgar and Isabella Linton, the cowardly, snobbish children who live there.

while instantiation is an "is a" relationship between an object and a class: a Collie is a Dog ("a... is a"), but Lassie is a Collie ("is a"). Thus, the object named Lassie has the methods from both classes Collie and Dog. Multiple inheritance is inheritance from more than one ancestor class, neither of these ancestors being an ancestor of the other. For example, independent classes could define Dogs and Cats, and a Chimera object could be created from these two which inherits all the (multiple) behavior of cats and dogs. This is not always supported, as it can be hard both to implement and to use well. Example DEFINITION MODULE Counter; PROCEDURE InitialiseCounter(InitialValue: INTEGER); PROCEDURE IncrementCounter; PROCEDURE GetCounterValue(): INTEGER; END Counter. IMPLEMENTATION MODULE Counter; VAR MyCounter: INTEGER; PROCEDURE InitialiseCounter(InitialValue: INTEGER); BEGIN MyCounter := InitialValue; END InitialiseCounter; PROCEDURE IncrementCounter;

Ferrars - The wealthy, manipulative mother of Edward and Robert who disinherits her first son when he refuses to marry a rich heiress. Edward Ferrars - The sensible and friendly older brother of Fanny Dashwood and Robert Ferrars. Robert Ferrars - A conceited coxcomb and the younger brother of Edward and Fanny. Robert inherits his mother's fortune after she disinherits Edward. Ironically, he ultimately marries Lucy Steele, even though it was Edward's engagement to this same woman that caused his mother to disinherit him. Miss Sophia Grey - The wealthy heiress whom Willoughby marries after abandoning Marianne. Mrs. Jennings - Lady Middleton's gossipy but well-intentioned mother who invites the Dashwood sisters to stay with her in London and makes it her "project" to marry them off as soon as possible.
Chocolate had less melanin than black, therefore Shaw called this dilution. Blue has a the same amount of melanin, but arranged differently, so Shaw did not consider this dilution. In simple terms, the black (eumelanin) colours in cats is due to a series of genes (alleles to be precise) with the following order of dominance/recessive (most dominant at the top, most recessive at the bottom). The chart also shows how these combine with dilution genes and dilution modifier genes. A cat inherits 2 copies of the black gene and only the more dominant version will show up while the recessive gene will be hidden. The caramel form only shows up in cats that already have the dilute colour and it lightens and adds a brownish cast to the dilute colour. Naval Service, finds difficulty settling into the village life of Warmsley Vale. She is engaged to Rowley, one of several members of the Cloade family living nearby. Each of them grew dependent on money from Gordon Cloade, a bachelor who was expected to die and leave his fortune to them. But instead he marries an Irishwoman, Rosaleen Turner, invalidating his previous will, before being killed in an explosion at his home, which his new wife survives. As a result, Rosaleen inherits Gordon's fortune and the entire family now faces financial crisis, augmented by the poor state of the economy in the aftermath of World War II. Rosaleen's fortune is zealously guarded by her brother, David Hunter, and although various family members manage to wheedle small sums out of Rosaleen, David refuses to help Frances Cloade, whose husband Jeremy is on the brink of ruin. A man calling himself Enoch Arden arrives in the village, and attempts to blackmail David by saying he knows how
•Properties are “things”in the object that can be changed. Instansion •A class is instantiated when it is used to stamp out one or more objects of its type •Objects that are created from a given class are called instances of that class •Encapsulation means that the properties and methods of an object are not directly accessible to the outside world. •Inheritance is the ability to create new classes based on an existing class. The new class inherits all the properties and methods and events of the base class, and can be customized with additional properties and methods. •Polymorphism is the ability of different classes to define properties or methods with the same name. Polymorphism is essential to object-oriented programming because it allows you to call methods with the same names, no matter what type of object is in use at the moment. 2. no farther than the person of the begetter, unless begetting can be a title to power in him that does not beget. Which makes it a reasonable question to ask, whether Adam, dying before Eve, his heir, (suppose Cain or Seth) should have by right of inheriting Adam's fatherhood, sovereign power over Eve his mother: for Adam's fatherhood being nothing but a right he had to govern his children, because he begot them, he that inherits Adam's fatherhood, inherits nothing, even in our author's sense, but the right Adam had to govern his children, because he begot them: so that the monarchy of the heir would not have taken in Eve; or if it did, it being nothing but the fatherhood of Adam descended by inheritance, the heir must have right to govern Eve, because Adam begot her; for fatherhood is nothing else. · Rousseau, Arutlus inimeste ebavõrdsuse päritolust ja põhjustest Ma näen inimliigis 2 sorti ebavõrdsust
and exempts the theory from having to explain plural uses or the generic use. One may think that a theory of definite descriptions ought not to be pam- pered thus forever. But in any case Russell does not mention anaphoric uses, and it has certainly been wondered why the theory should not be required to cover those, since unlike plural and generic uses, anaphoric descriptions are ostensibly singular referring expressions. In general, an anaphoric expression inherits its meaning from another expression, its antecedent, usually though not always occurring earlier in the sentence or in a previous sentence. For example, in 28 Reference and referring (15) The man who lived around the corner was eccentric. He used to snack on turtle heads "he" refers back to the man who lived around the corner. Geach (1962) called such a term a "pronoun of laziness" and suggested that it merely abbreviates a
