In our family there was a tradition that children got a beautifully wrapped paper book for their birthday present. E-books can never provide the physical feel of the cover, paper, and binding of the original printed work. The shelf life of a printed book exceeds that of an e-book reader. Over time the reader's battery will drain and require recharging. Additionally, there is no guarantee that [electronic] copies will last. Bits become degraded over time. Documents may get lost in cyberspace... Due to faults in hardware or software, e-book readers may malfunction and data loss can occur. As with any piece of technology, the reader must be protected from the elements (such as extreme cold, heat, water, etc.). Because of the high-tech appeal of the e-reader, e-books are a greater target for theft than an individual print book. Along with the theft of the physical device, any e-books it contains also become stolen

public document that is accessible to their peers and a wider audience (Hanlon, 2009, pp. 45). 5 Thus, blogs can enrich the learning experience and provide opportunity for learners to shift from surface to deeper levels of learning through critical reflection (Hanlon, 2009, pp. 34). By responding on blogs, people can get feedback from other audiences throughout cyberspace. Obviously during the process of formulating these responses to continue an electronic exchange of ideas with peers, students receive an opportunity to strengthen their critical thinking skills. Since the learner is exposed to many varying opinions, this in itself challenges the learner to step back and consider their own beliefs and the culture in which they exist. As a sociological concern, postmodernism describes a range of life styles adopted by emerging urban middle classes, who behave in a similar fashion to Walter Benjamin's flaneurs, the socially rootless individuals who strolled through the nineteenth century Parisian landscape reflecting on surface meanings they found in arcades, department stores, trams etc

Bowl. The 3 1/2-inch "microfloppy" diskette won widespread acceptance, aided by Apple Computer's decision to integrate its use into the new Macintosh. IBM released its PC Jr. and PC-AT. The PC Jr. failed, but the PC-AT, several times faster than original PC and based on the Intel 80286 chip, claimed success with its notable increases in performance and storage capacity, all for about $4,000. In his novel "Neuromancer," William Gibson coined the term "cyberspace." He also spawned a genre of fiction known as "cyberpunk" in his book, which described a dark, complex future filled with intelligent machines, computer viruses, and paranoia. Now the good news: with a little help, it's never been easier to collect a few data points (at little cost), track them (without training), and make small changes that produce incredible results. Type 2 diabetics going o of medication 48 hours after starting a dietary intervention? Wheelchair-bound seniors walking again after 14 weeks of training? This is not science ction. It's being done today. As William Gibson, who coined the term "cyberspace," has said: "The future is already here--it is just unevenly distributed." The 80/20 Principle: From Wall Street to the Human Machine This book is designed to give you the most important 2.5% of the tools you need for body recomposition and increased performance. Some short history can explain this odd 2.5%. Vilfredo Pareto was a controversial economist-cum-sociologist who lived from 1848 to 1923.
