Cinema is the most restricitve medium

But this shot doesn’t work in a way that it creates the feel of spaciousness, because there is no background and therefore there is no parallax. This shot should’ve been done in more minimalistical and original way. Another problem from a directing point of view, is showing multiple storylines in way that it would make sense to the audience. If the next scene is greatly different from the previous one, viewer might have a problem making a connection between these and gets confused. And being confused while watching movie is not good, because you start thinking about that moment and don’t focus on the next thing that is shown, so you will get more confused later on. Bigger problem is when the storylines don’t connect into one resolution at the end of the movie, leaving audience unsettled and confused. They’ll leave without satisfaction. So story and shot wise can not be anything sprawling. Also need of mentioning is staying in the format

Letter travelling description

During the winter break, I had a chance to visit Kolkata along with my uncle. I hope, my description of the visit of that great city will be a source of pleasure for you. It was my first visit to Kolkata. We stayed there with a friend of my father. He was a kind host. He took me round some important places of the city. Kolkata is a very big place. The streets of Kolkata are full, of the crowds of people. There is such great rush-of traffic that at first I felt quite confused. Kolkata is a city of fine streets. I liked the Chawranghee most of all. On one side it is lined by tall buildings and on the other by the maidan. The maidan is a great open park where large numbers of people assemble to spend their sweet evenings. In Kolkata there are many places worth-seeing. I saw the Government House, Fort William, the Museum, the Botanical Garden, the Zoo at Alipore, and the Birla Planetarium I had a very pleasant time in Kolkata. It is really a fine city in India

How far can we go being tolerant

How far can we go being tolerant?

How could a child live a normal life having to live with two mothers or two fathers? It may sound very intolerant and rude from my part, but I do not think any child could live like that and have a normal and healthy life afterwards. I try to be tolerant about gays having untraditional partnerships and think of them as fellow humans and let them live their own lives, but allowing them to raise children is over my line. Moreover, I am even more confused and concerned about the gender roles. A couple of days ago I saw Oprah talk show where there was a man Thomas, who was pregnant. He was born as a woman, but when she was about twenty five, she had the sex change operation but kept his female genitals. So, ten and more years later he was ready to give birth to a baby. Many people present, including Oprah, were tolerant about that and encouraged him, also said that it is very normal and brave thing to do

Furniture making The beautiful wood OAK English oak • English Oak, or European Oak, is a wonderful material to work with. It is heavy, but it is also one of the most graceful woods that only gets better as it ages and the colour matures. English Oak has been a solid staple material of the British furniture making tradition for hundreds of years. Our oak pieces come in a variety of colours, from Light to Blackened oak (not to be confused with Black Oak - which is typically a medium to light wood). In Europe it is known as olive ash, generally occurring after 30 years' growth when the white heart has turned to streaky olive. Sauerkraut Sauerkraut is finely shredded cabbage that has been fermented by various lactic acid bacteria, including Leuconostoc, Lactobacillus, and Pediococcus. It has a long shelf-life and a distinctive sour flavor, both of which result from the lactic acid that forms when the bacteria ferment the sugars in the cabbage. It is therefore not to be confused with coleslaw, which receives its acidic taste from vinegar. People of Estonia like sauerkraut very much. They definitely a great dish for Christmas, because it`s really good to eat it with potatoes or something like that. I think that in the end of the book Christine will get her memory back, and she will realize that her husbend Ben is bad guy. Therefore, his way to success will be very sturdy;while without careful planning, taking risks and chances thoughtlessly will make us easily be confused when too many new things need figuring out. Of course, in business, sometimes we can not predict what will happen and that there is some thing out of plan is inevitable. But with well planning that mentions all the possible situations, we can quickly back on our feet, or even turn mistakes into advantages as well. For example there is so many people, who have everything they have ever wanted and they still are not satisfied. And there are people who have nothing, but they are pleased and happy. This book proved that the most important thing in this life is to be friend with yourself, to find peace. I don’t mean peace in the world or peace in home, I mean peace in ourselves, in our soul and heart. For some time I have been a bit confused because I am, right now, living on my dream and sometimes it feels like I can’t have these big, often unreal dreams I used to have. “When you have everything you’ve ever wished for, have ever wanted and planned for, what’s there more to have and look forward to then?” This book made me believe again that there is always something missing, something to do or something where to develop. I thought a lot what I should write in this paragraph, namely this is for the things I didn’t like

That isn't the point. I'm talking about soft drinks. That's highly debatable. Some of the exhibits you see from contemporary artists are no more than tins of baked beans and piles of bricks. That's highly unlikely. Everybody understands that films and plays contain drama and that the purpose of the news is to report on what's wrong. 6.4 Disagreeing diplomatically (through doubt) The elderly are often confused by modern telephones and automatic switchboards. I wonder whether that's the case. Isn't it rather that they enjoy getting out and about instead of sitting next to a telephone? What I'm saying is that older people have been there before. They've had the problems and found the solutions. I'm not sure that it works like that. You see today's young live in a different age. If the songs are any good, then surely they'll survive.

Book report/review "The Snow Child"

The way the author describes Alaska, is very magical, because she has lived there her whole life. When I was reading the book I felt like I had been to Alaska, the writer really knows how to use the right adjectives to make the reader feel the cold and dark Alaskan winter. In my view, the book achieved its goal perfectly. The author knew exactly what kind of a message she wanted to bring to the reader and I believe that she succeeded. One specific point, which left me a bit confused was Fauna, the snow girl. I still can not understand how and why she woke up and became a real person. I guess this is the fact, which makes this book special, but I would have liked the book more if the author would have added a story about how she woke up. In general it was book that was a perfect combination of happiness and sadness. Happiness and sadness were in balance, however the book ended sadly. I would recommend this book to everyone, I see it as one of those books, which you

She looked still confused when her mother, the beloved queen Alice of the Scots, entered the main hall. "Well, well, well..." the old woman said looking at her pale daughter, "May I at least know whom this lucky man is?" Eliza was staring in bold air not noticing even the loud question. The queen laughed and walked to the library. "A baby..." whispered the young lady suddenly. Alice stopped and seemed very surprised. "Yes, my dear?" she said, "What baby?"

Aren't they more often women? The elderly are often confused by modern telephones and automatic switchboards. I wonder whether that's the case. Isn't it rather that they enjoy getting out and about instead of sitting next to a telephone? Well, it may not be owned, but it is controlled by a Board of Governors appointed by the Prime Minister.

is lost. The Moon Is Down is a story one can view from both sides. The main characters include both the townspeople and the officers of the occupation force. The conflict starts at the beginning of the occupation as an illusion of a friendly takeover both the invaders and the locals try to maintain, is shattered by the deaths of several people killed because of futile resistance attempts. At first, things go well. The locals are stunned and confused, and the invaders busily plan and carry out expansion of coal production. Soon enough, a slow, burning anger replaces the people's fear and a ragged resistance movement forms. Random acts of sabotage occur against soldiers and the coal mine. The invaders, under orders from above, impose repressive measures to keep the production going. Their commander follows his order knowing that, in fact, there is little hope of stopping the sabotage for more than a few days at a time

The Great Wave off Kanagawa

In the first two, there is a sail boat on the crest of the wave, as if it had managed to escape. Hokusai eliminated this element for the Great Wave, because it interfered with the dynamic of the curve or to make the image more dramatic. Non original copies and derivative works Like other well known Japanese prints, the Great Wave has been frequently copied using the same techniques, as well as reproduced by photo-mechanical means. These copies are often confused with the authentic original print The print is one of the most reproduced artworks in the world, and was one of the subjects of the BBC documentary series, "The Private Life of a Masterpiece", which detailed the fascination surrounding the work in the East and West, its influence, and the artist's insights into a number of different areas, as revealed through the piece. The print is the subject of episode 93 of the radio series A History of the World in 100 Objects, broadcast in September 2010

agnostic; this passage referencing God (Christian) and the requirement of man and woman (homophobic) is very rare. I believe this to be one of the main differences between the first act and the next twenty. I also think that the agnostic nature of the work is one of the reasons behind the mystery of the book's authorship. Although the passage has a sexually explicit overtone, it makes references to man and woman (only), and the Christian God. Which might leave the reader confused. My biggest question about this part is: Why is everyone forced to love? I think that most of us would agree, when you're attracted to someone, or in love with someone, you would bend to there will. There may be some things that are out of your control; be it because you want so badly to make them happy, or that you so badly want pleasure. However, the passage says that we are forced to feel this attraction, to someone. What about the people that don't want a partner

Sachs was confused by this information, because as far as she knew, she hadn't given birth in years and had never taken methamphetamines. When she told CPS as much, they refused to believe her, and began an in-depth investigation into her life. As the investigation dragged on, it came to light that Sachs' car had recently been broken into, and her driver's license had been stolen. The thief was a pregnant meth addict who took the stolen license and marched it to the local hospital to give birth

expressing the independence of woman, femme fatale. The visual style in Film Noir is used to replicate the nature of the world in which the films are set. Particularly in the closing sequence, there are many shadows, scene is set at night, darkness is all over the action. By these conventions, the audience can feel the dissorientation, confusion as the characters does. Madeline's mother is in the shadows all the time in the closing sequence. She is mad, confused, we could even say she IS dark, even though her costume is bright. When Bucky and Madeline are in the little room, there are shadows from blinds. In Film Noir blinds usually express restriction and make the audience feel that the room is like cage/prison. The lightning is surrealistic in many ways, it is used to create mood, not to represent life. It fuses expressionism. Developments in Noir include the fact that ``The Black Dahlia`` is set in colour, but usually, many Film

Denotative and connotative meanings in motion graphics text

DENOTATIVE AND CONNOTATIVE MEANINGS IN MOTION GRAPHICS TEXT For Multimedia Semiotics To begin with, what is motion graphics? Motion Graphics is a piece of video which is created digitally in a computer and as the name refers bases on moving graphical elements. These elements can be images, text, graphical designs or a multidimensional imagery. But this term should not be confused with another term ,,animation". Line between these two is a bit blurred. Animation often is only giving life to the characters and scenery. Also, it can be done in real world with physically created sets. Motion graphics on the other hand can be only created in digital world and could include animation. But also there are more two very important aspects desing and cinematohraphy. Therefore when talking about motion graphics it means moving graphycally created elements in a beatiful way.

offers new opportunities in criminal activity, which have not existed before," he says. By that he means the fact that euro is unknown for Estonians in cash and for criminals it's quite likely to act on this field. On the 2nd of January I saw one counterfeiting incident myself while shopping. In the cashier's office next to the one I was in, a man paid his bill with a 5 banknote. It was a fake one and the cashier immediately called the police and the shop manager. I saw he was really confused and heard he got the fake banknote from Statoil in Tallinn. I don't know how this story ended, but one thing I know for sure - the banknote got taken away from him. The sources I used were all from the Internet. I couldn't use any books to search information about the coming of euro, because as far as I know there is none. I also haven't kept those leaflets that were sent to every household in Estonia, so I couldn't use them either
