In my case I would have as many windows as possible. Light colour in the hall, it's the first thing you see when you walk into the house. There's not much space, therefore, this is fulfilled only essential things. On the right hand, there is a low cupboard, which is next to the vase of globeflowers. On the opposite wall, there is rocking chair and a peg. The ceiling is painted white and cream colored carpet covers the parquet. The next room consists of dining and livingroom. This is the biggest and the brightest room in this house. A rich mintcream walls and hardwood floors these two are well contrasted with furniture. Home description

Home I live in a village called Kapu. This is a small and beautiful place where each house seems to stand on it's own little hill like royalty. Our home is family house with a large enclosed garden which is constrained with spruce hedge. My house was built in 1992 but it has been extensively modernised and extended since then. Our house consists a lot of different elements and components what I try to describe in my essay. The most important part of construction is foundation because it keeps buildings in one piece. My house has a strip foundation which is taken 1,5m below the ground to protect the structure against ground movement and damages. Due to the fact that foundation transfer the dead and imposed loads of the structure onto the ground it must be very solid and strong. Our foundation is made of pre cast concrete blocks which has a damp-proof course made of mastics on external side. There are sleeper wall after the concrete blocks t

Elderly people who have lost their spouse or never married prefer to live alone in their own homes as long as they can cope. Families often live nearby and can help. There are also local services (cleaning, ‘meals-on- wheels’, day centres with activities, etc.) and voluntary organisations, such as Age Concern or Help the Aged who support them. When people become too frail, they usually move care homes. Exercise 1. Find the corresponding English word from the text. Answer the questions in full sentences. The family coat-of-arms on the pediment was added in 1817 by then owner Count Stenbock (Sweden origin Russian brigade leader and estate owner). It belonged to Prince Alexander Menshikov, the governor- general of Estonia in 1710-19. He was born in the family of a groom at the Russian Royal court, and at the age of 13 became a personal servant and later a close assistant to Czar Peter I. After Peter's death he helped the czar's widow, Catherine I, to the throne and became the actual ruler of Russia for a couple of years until he was defeated in the power struggle and banished into exile. 23 Lai Street

Tallinn-topic

Introduction Tallinn, the capital city of the Republic of Estonia and of the Harju county, is a town in North Estonia on the coast of the Gulf of Finland. It has nearly half a million inhabitants and covers an area of almost 160 sqkm. It is also an important economic and cultural centre and one of the main ports in the Baltic States. Tallinn is one of the oldest cities on the Baltic Sea. It is unique for its well-preserved architecture from the 13-15 centuries. In contrast to the ancient town-walls and towers, Tallinn of today offers modern hotels, restaurants, sport and cultural centres. Every five years national song and folk dance festivals take place in Tallinn. The yachting regatta of the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games was held at Pirita. History Tallinn means in English "Danish town". The place is believed to have been settled by Finno-Ugric people about 2500 BC. It was first marked on a map of the world by the Arab geographer al-Idrisi in 1154. The Estonians were the first to bui

mitigate risks, improve coordination, meet the project deadline and stay within the budget. This thesis attempts to study the effects that three-dimensional software tools and Building Information Modeling (BIM) are having on the design, fabrication and construction of complex steel structures. The research is based on qualitative case study methodology, focusing on the Seattle Central Library and the Denver Art Museum. In support of the main research question, the following sub questions were investigated: 5 • How are 3D and BIM affecting the structural design process? • How are clashes detected? • How is the steel fabrication and submittal process changing? • How is this technology affecting steel erection? • What tools are being used to collaborate between various project participants from different countries?

dollar inputs to raise its power output, it does require an in-depth under- standing on the part of the man doing the modifications. In an attempt to acquire that understanding I began a study of the high-speed, high-output two-stroke engine that has led to the collection of a minor library of text books and SAE papers. And to an endless series of experiments, some of them illuminating and many others raising more questions than they have answered. At this stage I have arrived at more or less satisfactory explanations for most of the gross phenomena, such as the general behavior of expansion chambers and port time-area values, and I flatter myself to think that just that much is an acceptable excuse for writing this book for the guidance of the layman experimenter. If it will not supply all of the answers it will at least take care of the fundamental problems and prevent the worst mistakes.
