Internet has many uses in my life

Internet has many uses in my life - I use it for studying, tracking weather, playing games, watching movies and listening to music. I mostly use internet in my smartphone. It's more convenient to carry around rather than a computer. At home i prefer my computer it makes studying alot easier as I can type words much faster than with a smartphone or a pen. It's also bigger so it's nice to watch movies with as well. I use my computer a lot less than my phone maybe 2 or three hours a day, whereas I use my phone at all times. - , , , . . , . - , , . , . , - , 2 3 , . At school you learn different subjects every day. Subjects that teach you about different sciences, physical education, art and languages. Science teaching subjects are mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology and geography. Math teaches you how to multiply for example. Chemistry teaches about molec...

Workday needs fairy tales

Workday needs fairy tales Every person has a way to escape the day to the wonderland, through the music, the art of movies, or through the books. Person can loose a job, all the collected treasure, their love. Even if they have just one friend who cares and supports them, they are not alone. It is very encouraging to think that there is someone who will run to help you, when everyone else turn their back. Music is something that can light up the worst day. Music is filled with many feelings, many words and a lot of soul. Music is like a good friend who is always there. If a soul is filled with hate, music is the one to answer with raw, aggressive and straight forward sound. When the mood seems hopeless, it's music that surprisingly lifts the corners of your mouth with it's swinging and rhythmic melodies. If you are feeling down, then it's the music, like mother's soft fondle, that gently cheers you up w...

The Effects of Computer-Generated Images

The Effects of Computer-Generated Images Nowadays, people are surrounded by all kind of generated images. Computer- generated imagery is the applications of computer graphics to create or contribute to images in art, printed media, video games, films, television programs, commercials. Everybody sees the world much prettier, thanks to the images, but. What are the effects of computer-generated images? Firstly, people are getting use to the thought, that everything around them is free from defects. People watch movies and pictures, play games and do not think, that everything they see is not a reality. They get depressed when finding out that the actual look of an object is not the same as it was on the pictures. When booking a hotel, everybody firstly look at the pictures of the hotel and then decide if they really want to stay there. As they arrive to the place they booked, they are disappointed, because all the pictu...

Speech: TV is Little More Than a Waste of Time

Talk: TV is Little More Than a Waste of Time 4 min Television has become increasingly more popular through the years. Most Estonians have a TV or even several TV's at home. On one side, there are many people who think that television is just a waste of time and money. Some people spend hours in front of TV and it can be bad for your health. On the other side, It is thought that watching TV is a good way to relax. They like to be entertained after a long day and they believe that television can make you happier. I have to say that I understand both sides. I believe that television can have a negative effect on children because there is so much violence in movies and TV shows. Also watching TV can make you lazy. It's physically, mentally, and emotionally lazy. It requires no physical, mental, or emotional participation It's an addictive excuse that keeps people from leaving the house and communicating with real people. The commercials ...

I couldn't live without music What is music? In my opinion music is a real art, not only a sound and lyrics. It makes people want to sing or dance. It makes us feel happy, sad, inspired or uplifted. Music influences our mood in all kinds of infinite ways. Music is outlet for my feelings. I can't find one song that doesn't remind me someone or something i've been went through. Music is all around me and influences my feelings and sometimes my opinions as well. It brings me up when I'm down and it also brings a smile on my face. I can't imagine a life in silence without radio, music videos and probably without movies either because a movie without music is an authentic. Life is not the same without it. In conclusion I can't imagine a world without music, but in fact it is impossible to imagine things that are possible. There will always be music in the world, so there is no way to imagine what it would be without it.

THE CITY OF LONDON History The City of London occupies one square mile in the middle of the capital. It once made up entire town of London, surrounded by the wall first built by Romans. The Romans also built a bridge over the Thames and there has been one in the same area ever since. The Roman Londinium grew up on the northern side of the bridge. In AD 61 the native Celtic tribe, led by Queen Boudicca, rose up against the Romans. They burnt down Londinium to the ground and killed most of its inhabitants. Roman armies eventually defeated Boudicca and Londinium was rebuilt. At the end of the fourth century AD the Roman Empire began to crumble and the Roman armies were recalled from Britain to defend Rome itself. Once they had left, tribes such as Angles, Saxons and Jutes invaded and settled in from Holland, Germany and Denmark. Together they are known as Anglo-Saxons. They were farming people who pr...

The concept of Jackass dates back to 1999 when struggling-actor-turned-writer Johnny Knoxville birthed the idea to test different self defense devices on himself as the basis for an article. He pitched the idea to a couple of magazines and was turned down until meeting with Jeff Tremaine of Big Brother. The Medium Is the Message

1 The Medium Is the Message In a culture like ours, long accustomed to splitting and dividing all things as a means of control, it is sometimes a bit of a shock to be reminded that, in operational and practical fact,, the medium is the message. This is merely to say that the personal and social consequences of any medium-that is, of any extension of ourselves-result from the new scale that is introduced into our affairs by each extension of ourselves, or by any new technology. Thus, with automation, for example, the new patterns of human association tend to eliminate jobs, it is true. That is the negative result. Positively, automation creates roles for people, which is to say depth of involvement in their work and human association that our preceding mechanical technology had destroyed. Many people would be disposed to say that it was not the machine, but what one did with the machine, that was its meaning or message. In terms of the ...

TheCodeBreakers

Some of the things you will learn in THE CODEBREAKERS • How secret Japanese messages were decoded in Washington hours before Pearl Harbor. • How German codebreakers helped usher in the Russian Revolution. • How John F. Kennedy escaped capture in the Pacific because the Japanese failed to solve a simple cipher. • How codebreaking determined a presidential election, convicted an underworld syndicate head, won the battle of Midway, led to cruel Allied defeats in North Africa, and broke up a vast Nazi spy ring. • How one American became the world's most famous codebreaker, and another became the world's greatest. • How codes and codebreakers operate today within the secret agencies of the U.S. and Russia. • And incredibly much more. Sylvia Day Bared to You Sylvia Day Bared to You The first book in the Crossfire series, 2012 This one is for Dr. David Allen Goodwin. My love and gratitude are boundless. Thank you, Dave. You saved my life. Acknowledgments My deepest gratitude to my editor, Hilary Sares, who really dug into this story and made me work for it. Basically, she kicked my ass. By not pulling her punches or letting me shortchange the details, she made me work harder and because of that, this story is a much, much better book. BARED TO YOU wouldn't be what it is without you, Hilary. Thank you so much! To Martha Trachtenberg, copy editor extraordinaire. This book is an important one for me and she treated it that way. Thank you, Martha! T...
