Homework I live in Muuga, it's about 13km from the city center. Muuga belongs to city Maardu, it is like a little village between Maardu and Pirita and Lasnamäe. Here in Muuga, there are many little cottages and detached houses with yards. It is a very quiet and calm village. We have here only 3 food-shops, two really small ones and a bigger one ,,Maxima". Here is also being built a kindergarden. Near here we have a little staying place, something like a motel. We have a bus from the center, it takes nearly 35 minutes to get from the center to Muuga. Bus comes every 17-25 minutes, so it is quite comfortable. A lot of place to walk, go jogging and ride a bike. I'm happy that i live near the bus stop, it's very good for me, but however sometimes I may miss the bus.

Where would you prefer to live and why? I would prefer to live in a big city instead of a village or a small town. For example Tallinn, London, New York or Paris. To start with, I would like to live in a big city because of its advantages. Big cities usually have more opportunities to spend your day and night. There are cinemas, coffee shops, theatres, shopping centres, libraries and night clubs. Although you need money to attend different exhibitions and shows big city also offers you free activities. her many adventures as a 17th century orphan with genuine knowledge of witchcraft. Mary is packed off to join Puritans headed to the New World. While they search for religious freedom, Mary searches for a fresh start and a chance to live a life untainted by the suspicion of witchcraft. She is informally adopted by good friends who accept her strong-willed nature and and knowledge of herbs, medicines, and midwifery. To escape the oppressive atmosphere of the village and the stringent Puritan expectations, Mary retreats to the woods where she befriends a local Native American boy. Despite dire warnings from all who care about her, Mary persists in keeping her journal, gallivanting through the woods, and making dangerous comments. Even though Mary has assisted her community on numerous occasions, when things begin to go poorly for the village, accusatory fingers are quickly pointed. The fear and superstition are palpable in this diary-style novel

Britain is more famous for pop music than it is for classical composers or jazz musicians. Names such as The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Elton John, George Michael and The Spice Girls are known world wide but little do people know of our other musicians not in the pop world. The origins of music in Britain lie in the songs sung and dance music played by ordinary people. Passed from village to village and handed down in the unwritten form from generation to generation. Different trends Over the last thirty or so years British pop music has led the world in its range and quality, starting several new trends. Britain, along with the US, was the main contributor in the development of rock and roll, and Britain has provided some of the most famous bands, including The Beatles and many others. Britain was at the forefront of punk music (see below) in the 1970s with bands such as

He wandered pointlessly many hours thinking of his friend whom was taken away by some mysterios beast. "Maybe the Devil really exists?" he whispered anxiously to the trees, but they didn`t give him an answer, they only swayed in the chilly wind. Finally there was light ahead, so the rider thanked the Queen and hurried towards an unexpected destination. He hoped it to be a village or even better a small city. But all his dreams broke when he suddenly heard this loud wild noise again. This time he didn`t run off, but still, he tried to stay in the bushes near the shadows of the trees. Carefully, like a small child discovering the world he moved towards the light. And what he saw took his breath away: there was a village, but it was all burning and the people were sleeping an eternal sleep everywhere he looked. Some of them were seriosly injured, but alive

to know what others are talking about well it's kind of annoying. And then there are these kind of people who smoothly move from one group of people to another group of people and collect any kind of information like bees collect pollen so afterwards they could tell everything they heard to their friends and to add some spice to the whole story they supplement some tiny details which they made up in their heads. In Estonia we have this saying: "In the one edge of a village you farted but in the other edge of village people tell that you pooped yourself." I'm not saying that I never want to know what do other people talk about or I never talk my friends what I have heard. The difference is that I don't judge we're all humans and have our pros and gons. Unfortunately those people don't understand that and at the end of the day everyone knows that Pete and Julia kissed passionately eventhogh they actually just hugged. What's worse why do people

Taha Aki went to the chief of the Makahs in mourning, and enmity between the tribes ceased. A year later, the disappearances started again. The wolves agreed to help the Makahs, and this time they found a male cold one feeding from a maiden. Only one wolf survived the attack, Yaha Uta, the oldest son of Taha Aki's third wife. The cold one was hard as stone, fast, and deadly, and Yaha Uta lost his two brothers in the fight. He brought the Cold One's corpse back to the village for the elders to see. The corpse tried to reassemble itself, so they set fire to it and separated the ashes into small bags, one of which Billy still possesses. The Cold One's mate came to the village seeking revenge and killed the last wolf protector, Yaha Uta, as well as many of the tribe. Taha Aki turned into a wolf again in order to fight her, but he was old and she was too strong. The third wife saw his struggle and stabbed herself in front of the Cold Woman to distract her with her blood

Greec wedding traditions

On Wednesday it is customed that relatives come to bride' s and groom' s new house and watch the flour being sieved by a boy and a girl. Through that process there is silence. When there is enough flour people throw coins into it and yell their wishes of good luck. On Friday there is a ritual called " filling of the sacks" . That means that the bride fills sacks with all her possessions while visitors throw coins in among her things. At the same time groom is sending pitchers of wine around the village to friends and family with an invitation to the wedding. The bride's father does the same thing to his friends and family and the bride goes around the village on Saturday, but instead of wine she gives out sweets. Before the weddings there are all sorts of traditions. It all starts with raising a wedding flag at the groom's house. Then people come with the flag to the bride's house, where the bride's mother offers the groom wine and herbs for his lapel. After

Two holidays in the UK

I describe two holidays, which I think are quite interesting. Bank holidays are public holidays in the United Kingdom, when banks and many other businesses are closed for the day. One bank holiday is Stiltion Cheese Rolling. Cheese Rolling has become an annual event in Stilton and every May Day hundreds of villagers and visitors make their way to the main street to watch the teams battling for the honour of being called the 'Stilton Cheese Rolling Champions'. The event is also Stilton village festival, and includes Maypole dancing, live music and other entertainment. There are side-shows, fairground rides, stalls, food and drink, and a concert in the evening. The Floral Dance always takes place on the 8th of May, except when that falls on a Sunday or Monday, when the Dance is held on the previous Saturday. The Helston Floral Dance is one of the oldest surviving customs in the Country, and is a festival to celebrate the coming of spring.

Thanksgiving

family day celebrated with big dinners. On this day, Americans give thanks for the blessings they have enjoyed during the year The first Thanksgiving was held in Plymouth in the 17th century. The people of Plymouth had come to America from England. In their native land they had been called Puritans, but they called themselves Pilgrims. When the Pilgrims landed in America they were poorly trained to cope with life in the wilderness. One spring morning an Indian came into the little village of Plymouth . Later, he brought The Indian chief, who gave gifts and offered assistance. The Indians taught the Pilgrims how to hunt, fish and grow food. They also taught them, how to use fish for fertilizer in growing corn, pumpkin and beans. The Pilgrims had a good harvest. Governor William Bradford issued a proclamation establishing a day of Thanksgiving to God. The first Thanksgiving was cooked and served out-of-doors. The celebration lasted for 3 days.It was successful.

PANGA CLIFF The Panga cliff is located on the northern shore of Saaremaa, at the end of the Kuressaare - Võhma road, close to Panga village. It is the highest of the Saaremaa and Muhu cliffs, reaching to a maximum of 21.3 meters. The entire cliff is approximately 2.5 kilometers long. Standing at the tip of the cliff, one can clearly see another half-circular cliff under water. This is especially noticeable during storms, when the waves break against the underwater rocks, while the inside of the half-circle is calm. During bird migrations in the spring and fall, this half-circular lagoon is a favorite stopover

Memoirs of a Geisha

It explained the thought of a geisha: why have many misused the word geisha, and misunderstood the reality. The book itself is about a girl, who was sold to a family by her own father. She worked there as a maid, but as time went by she grew up and a famous and loved geisha decided to train her to become a geisha too. She worked hard, but succeeded well - she was one of the most valued geishas.
