For many people, money is the most important thing in the world

But other story is, how to use this knowledge. For example I would like to be a millionaire. I can not say that money is unimportant for me. ,,Money is for him the most important thing" - it is an belittling phrase. It does not apply to me, at least I hope that. But for who it applies? There are many people in the world, whose meaning of life is to gather money. They commit to the career and business. Maybe they do not have children and family, it will just waist time and energy. Opposite people could wonder, what life is that, but thanks to such business- sharks the world evolves. It is everyones free choice to set money to the first place in his life. I have no right to say what is wrong and what is right. Important is that you do not earn money in criminal way by robbery or cheating.

Cigarettes - Enemies or Friends?

habit-forming and as we all know, it is really hard to abandon. When people think of cancers caused by smoking, the first one that comes to mind is always lung cancer. Most cases of lung cancer death, close to 90% in men, and 80% in women are caused by cigarette smoking. There are several other forms of cancer attributed to smoking as well. Smoking remains the leading cause of preventable death and has negative health impacts on people at all stages of life. It harms unborn babies, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and also seniors. All in all, cigarettes are definitely not our friends, likely enemies. They are quite expensive, they are addictive, absolutely bad for smokers health and all the other people surrounded by them and what is the worst it kills. Something which can take a life from a human being can not be good, definitely not a friend.

He started his solo career in 1971. Since then he was rising on the musical career table. In addition, the life of Michael wasn't as simple as people might think. He had a possible desease which changed his color whiter or he had done a surgery to make his skin lighter. People were obsessed with Michael's skin color change. Even the media wrote about it. I think that he had a surgery that made his skin lighter. Furthermore, Michael had more problems. He was accused of molesting children. I didn't belive it at the beginning and i don't belive it now. He also had a fake nose that kept falling off. And the media was only saying bad words about Michael Jackson. It is a miracle that he got through the problems and went on with his life, even dispiting the media. To sum up i would like to say that Michael Jackson was a great man. He was good at music which I admire, but he was good at getting over hes problems too. The death of Michael

American Literature Character Sketch-The Color Purple-Shug Avery

Her evolvement was interesting to observe. First impression of her wasn’t positive because she appeared rather inelegant and also quite selfish. In essence, she seemed to be unlikable as well as superficial. Shug (originally Lilly) didn’t really embrace herself and adopted a nickname – “Shug”. However she developed a sexual relationship with Celie and with that broke the boundaries of traditional gender roles. She was outspoken, exteremely honest and not easy to affect. All her three children were born out of wedlock. She is a good example of sexuality and gender not being as univocal and simplistic topics as they may seem since she was a bisexual (sexual relationship with Celie). Throughout the novel Celie’s mother was compared to Shug. Celie saw her mother in Shug while she took Shug as a role model herself. Shug had a great influence on Celie who was in a violent marriage. Thanks to Shug, Celie learned to stand up for herself and also got to know herself and her worth

Which is better-a well paid job or an interesting and fulfilling job?

In addition job greatly affects the life in general. So, when the job is unchallenging, the life becomes boring too. Money is not the most important thing in life. When people choose profession based on a salary, they could later realize that the work is unsatisfying. We hear a lot of stories about people, who first studied law, but understood later, that they are not into that. In most cases parents force their children to study a profession that pays well. They do not consider child's interest and child is also too shy to stand up. In the end, people should be confident and pursue what they're interested in. It is getting popular to work in many different work areas in life. Before people studied one profession and work as it till they get old. Today's people are easily bored, they search for something interesting. People want to get rid of the routine and because of that, they change jobs quite often

His father forces him to go boxing to continue a family tradition of boxers, but Billy is not really good at it and he doesn't like it either. She wants the best dance career for him but this means it has to be considered with Billys parents. Due to the reason Billy has no mother and his father is really oldfashioned, this is the point where it gets difficult. Billys life is about to fall apart again. Inuit Culture

As World War II ended and the Cold War began, the Arctic became a place where countries that didn't get along were close to each other. The Arctic had always been seen as inaccessible, but the invention of airplanes made it easier for non-Arctic dwellers to get there. Permanent settlements were created in the Arctic around new airbases and radar stations built to watch out for rival nations. Schools and health care centers were built in these permanent settlements. In many places, Inuit children were required to attend schools that emphasized non- native traditions. With better health care, the Inuit population grew larger, too large to sustain itself solely by hunting. Many Inuit from smaller camps moved into permanent settlements because there was access to jobs and food. In many areas Inuit were required to live in towns by the 1960s. Mythology Malina Malina is the Sun goddess of the Inuit people who live in Greenland. The word "Inuit" means "people."

Estonia

John's Day (June 24) are the most important days in the Estonian calendar. They were celebrated long before the arrival of Christianity in Estonia, although named by the crusaders. The most common tradition associated with those holidays is the lighting of the bonfire and jumping over it. It was seen as a way of guaranteeing prosperity and avoiding bad luck. On Shrove Tuesday, in February or March, adults seize the chance to go sledging together with the children, on the pretext of the old custom. On St. Martin's Day (10 Nov) and St. Catherine's Day (25 Nov), children in costumes go from house to house, earning sweets with their singing and dancing.

How far can we go being tolerant?

Their percecution was caused by their antichristian beliefs and holding on to their own religion. Its culmination came during the World War II, when the massive Jew-baiting took place, known as the Holocaust. People's, who obeyed Adolf Hitler, tolerance changed to a very cruel way of intolerance. Very hot topic is also discrimination and not accepting homosexuals. Despite of that, many countries have allowed people with different sexual orientations to get married and even adopt children. There have even been gay parades even in Estonia, not to mention the ones that have been organised in world capitals like Rome and Berlin. Tough it is surrounded with a lot of critizism, it is a huge step to grew people's tolerance. My father once told me that earlobs can show people's tolerance. The longer the lobs, the more tolerant the person. It might be a fairytale or a grain of truth. If it is a fairytale, then he just wanted show-off his long earlobs. If it has some kind of truth

from the everyday society, they had to work harder to get jobs, education but in the other hand there was people who helped them and tried to solve those issused to make a better community. But it still has not made any big changes, there are people who even now are discriminative to black people. People have not found the way to get rid os that situation, allthough it has improved.Consithering the way we treated black race in the 60's ,it has gone better a lot. No longer do black children go different ''special '' schools as the white and dont have to work harder or get less paid than the white just because they are different race as we are. Only thing that has not been changed is the attitude, some people still discriminate and but them on lower standards. Its intresting how the enviromental racism has attracted intrest in many countries in the past year or two, people are starting to discover the land where are buried the victims of

The role of women in Sense and Sensibility

Mrs. Henry Dashwood. She is the object of the attentions of Colonel Brandon and Mr. Willoughby. She is attracted to young, handsome, romantically spirited Willoughby and does not think much of the older, more reserved Colonel Brandon. In nineteenth century women had to be suppressed and modest. They were not allowed to show their feelings and senses openly. When they did that, everybody gossiped and talked about that slightingly. The roles of women were keeping the house clean and raise the children. If they were in the middle or lower class they had to cook, wash and clean, but if they were in the upper class, there were servants for that. They did not just sit with doing nothing, always they were backstitching or sewing or doing some other useful opusculum. Also they were reading books and playing some kind of instrument or singing were was time for that. There were many parties and balls where women did go with their husbands, escorts or wooers

beginning of each project, and would also have the option of coming up with their own idea. Some examples are raising money to donate to a charity, creating an anthology of short stories to be bound and published, starting a website, writing and recording an original song, and patenting a new idea. Because of the amount of coordination required for each project, both successes and failures would inevitably spring up along the way, giving the children a meaningful experience of what it is like to work on a real-world project. The teacher would have an important role, psychologically coaching the kids through the highs and lows of the project and facilitating discussions to make them work better together and motivate themselves. In addition, academic lessons would be split into two halves. The first half would be a basic skills seminar, and the second an advanced class. Students would be able to choose whether to stay the second half, or

Advantages and disadvantages of living in the country

If you choose to be settled on land, you should consider some of the disadvantages, but don't have to disappoint for the advantages. There are many advantages of living in the countryside. First of all, you can always enjoy your privacy, there are few city noise and inquisitive passerby, who usually do not go there. In most of cases, country house is built on a large area, which is still a dwelling house in addition to other buildings, such as a sauna or a barn. Great yard for children are convenient and good for playing, also there is suitable to grow some animals and keep pets. There is clean and fresh air, forest is very close, where people can go hiking or just simply walk and enjoy the nature. Jane Eyre

he has no feelings towards his wife but Jane is too hurt and confused thus decides to leave Thornfield for good. Many years later Jane returns to Thornfield before accepting a marriage proposal from someone else and moving away with them. She discovers that Mr.Rochesters wife has burnt down the house and committed suicide and he himself was left blind because of the fire. Jane pays him a visit and can't find it in her heart to leave Mr.Rochester to die alone. They live happily together, have children and in the end Mr.Rochester regains his sight. In my opinion the reason why Jane, and everyone else in the book, were so attracted to Mr.Rochester was because of his mysterious and deep appearance. Jane must have felt really special that she cought his eye out of all the women. That despite all the bitterness she was the only chosen one that could mend his broken heart and offer him happiness. She'd help him change his old ways and together they would live happy ever after

Speculation about Shakespeare

[179] In 1606 the name of William's daughter Susanna appears on a list of those who failed to attend Easter communion in Stratford.[179] Scholars find evidence both for and against Shakespeare's Catholicism in his plays, but the truth may be impossible to prove either way.[180] Sexuality Main article: Sexuality of William Shakespeare Few details of Shakespeare's sexuality are known. At 18, he married the 26-year-old Anne Hathaway, who was pregnant. Susanna, the first of their three children, was born six months later on 26 May 1583. However, over the centuries readers have pointed to Shakespeare's sonnets as evidence of his love for a young man. Others read the same passages as the expression of intense friendship rather than sexual love.[181] At the same time, the 26 so- called "Dark Lady" sonnets, addressed to a married woman, are taken as evidence of heterosexual liaisons.[182] Portraiture Main article: Portraits of Shakespeare

House of my dreams

House of my dreams Vsevolod Dolgov So, today I want to tell you about my house and house of my dreams. I live in a three-bedroom flat with my mother and brother. Our flat is very big, well, it is very big for me. It is very warm in there, but my mom says it's cold. I have my own room, and it is very cool, because it is like my own flat. I have all my things in there, such things like: a computer, books, my big bed, a guitar and diplomas. There, in my room, is all my life, if you want to know something about me, all you need is to visit my room. We live on the ground floor, and because of that, we do not get a lot of sun in the flat. Our city is not so big, but we live far from the center, our house is in the north-east of the city- it is about fifteen minutes by bus. But it is not so bad, in big cities you need fifty minutes! That’s why I love my city. My dream house should be located outside the city, where I...
