Active Voice, Passive Voice There are two special forms for verbs called voice: 1. Active voice subject verb object active > Cats eat fish. 2. Passive voice The active voice is the "normal" voice. This is the voice that we use most of the time. You are probably already familiar with the active voice. In the active voice, the object receives the action of the verb: The passive voice is less usual. Good afternoon everyone, my name is Kristiina, I´m a second year student here at Tallinn University of Technology and I´m standing here in front of you to talk about the ,,passive houses I will inform you about their magnitude and percentage nowadays and also talk about the potential difficulties that might appear when building a passive house". But I´ll start off by giving you an overview of the term. The definition of a passive house is based on its extremely low energy need. Passive houses consume less than a quarter of energy required for a standrard building, as a result reducing its ecological footprint.
