Poison dart frog

Poison dart frog Dart frog Dart frogs lives in central and south America, in tropical rain forests. This specie belongs to Dendrobatidae family of frogs. Poison dart frogs eat insects, ants, termites, and beetles. Appearance The size of the frog may vary from 1.5 centimeters to 6 centimeters. Some poison dart frogs weigh as less as 2 grams and are about the size of a paper clip. Their colouring can be yellow, gold, copper, red, green, blue or black. Colourful skin is very appealing yet venomous. Dart frog venom These frogs some species are absolutely lethal. Poison dart frogs keep their poison in their skin and this can kill anyone that touches them. The golden poison dart frog has enough venom to kill 10 adult humans.

Squirrel and chipmunk

Chimpunks typically live about three years, but there have been some, who live nine years. Squirrels are familiar to almost everyone. More than 200 squirrel species live all over the world, with the notable exception of Australia. The most common European squirrels are red or brown color, while common American squirrels are grey or black. The tail is long and typically very-very bushy. Squirrels weight between 14 gramms and 1 kilo. The tiniest squirrel is only thirteen centimeters long from nose to tail, but the Indian giant squirrel is almost a meter long. Squirrels are commonly seen everywhere from woodlands to city parks. Though they are terrific climbers, squirrels do come to the ground in search of food such as nuts, acorns, berries, and flowers. They also eat bark, eggs, or baby birds. Some of the species hibernate and some don’t. Squirrels can live 5 to 10 years in the wild. Some can survive 10 to 20 years in captivity.

reindeer and sometimes even birds and bird eggs. Polar bears are top of the food chain in the Arctic. They help to keep the balance of nature by preventing an overpopulation of seals. In the wild, polar bears live an average of 15 to 18 years, although biologists have tagged a few bears who are 30 years old. One zoo bear in London lived to 41. Female polar bears have their first set of cubs between the ages of four and eight (most frequently at age five or six). At birth, the cubs are 30 to 35 centimeters long and weigh little more than half a kilogram. They are blind, toothless, and covered with short, soft fur. The cubs are born in November or December and remain in the den until March or April. During that time, the mother does not eat, drink, or defecate. There are usually two cubs in a litter. Polar bears cubs normally stay with their mother until they are 2 1/2 years old. Polar bears do not hibernate!

Carl Lewis

When Olympic games finished Carl came back home with two golds and one silver. A fact that makes notice for anyone else, but not for Carl Lewis. So, since the following year, Carl tried again to sing and continued to draw suits for his club. Meanwhile a sprinter of his clan, Leroy Burrell, brushed against his world record: 9"94 and beats him at Goodwill games. In the long jump Mike Powell becomes dangerous, and Carl won long jump just for 4 centimeters in the same games. In 1991 he faced these ones at the world championships of Tokyo. He arrived in Japan as the number two of the sprint and the best of the long jump for 1 centimeters. Well, he came out from Japan as the number one of the sprint through a fantastic world record (9"86) and the number two of long jump, as the 8,95 of Mike Powell didn't give him any chance though e reached the measure of 8,91 (windy)! And so finished his record of victories in a row: 65.

The australian terrier

The Australian Terrier stands around 25 centimeters high at the withers and weighs around 7 kilograms. It is a low-set dog; the length of its body is longer than its height at the withers. The Aussie has a high-set tail that is now not docked in Australia. The head of the Australian Terrier is elongated, with a slight stop and pricked ears. The ANKC breed standard describes the dog's look as "hard bitten" and "rugged". The eyes are small, dark, and oval and must have a keen terrier expression. The leather of the nose runs up to the bridge of the muzzle, which is described as "strong".The dog's coat is rough or harsh to the touch, with a soft undercoat and a distinctive ruff around the neck. Australian Terriers shed little hair. The breed standard specifies that it should be untrimmed, but some prefer to neaten the dog for the show ring. Acceptable colors are blue and tan, red or sandy. The Australian Terrier has medium sized triangular ea...

Saturn

Although this planet's rings are very wide, extending from the top of its atmosphere to well beyond the orbits of its closest moons, they are very thin, measuring no more than a few kilometers (about a mile) in thickness ("Great Space Place"). The Pioneer 11 flyby made several discoveries about the rings. The rings are made of particles that are dust-sized up to large mountain-sized masses, with the average size being in the marble to basketball range - about 10 centimeters (four inches). These particles are extremely cold and are possibly composed of frozen water and other ices. An extensive cloud of hydrogen was also discovered around the rings. The rings might have resulted when a moon or a passing body ventured too close to Saturn. The unlucky object would have been torn apart by great tidal forces on ts surface and in its interior. In , the object may not have been fully formed to begin with anddisintegrated under the influence of Saturn's gravity

insulator when reverse biased. 7) A power diode is more complicated in structure and operational characteristics than the small signal diode. The forward bias characteristic of the power diode is approximately linear, which means that the voltage drop is proportional to the omic resistance and to the current. The rated currents of power diodes are thousands of amperes and the area of the pn junction may be tens of square centimeters. In the case of power diode, the additional n- layer exists between these two layers, which is termed as a drift region. This layer can be quitewide for the diode. The wide lightly doped region adds significant ohmic resistance to the forward-biased diode and causes larger power dissipation in the diode when it is conducting current. Most of the power dissipation in a diode occurs in the forward-biased on-state operation. Real

be great? That's the power of RFID- the DATA. Radio frequency identification (RFID) can be broadly categorized as an 'e-tagging' technology. RFID enables passive object tagging and automatic data capture, using RF sensing as opposed to optical sensing in the case of barcodes. RFID is fast, reliable, and does not require physical sight or contact between reader/scanner eliminating the problems mentioned for barcodes. The range of sensing RFID tags from a reader varies from a few centimeters to a few meters, depending on the frequency and the type of tags (active or passive). The amount of data that can be stored inside RFID tag ranges from few bits to 1 MB for active tags. Benefits: The main benefit of RFIDs is that, unlike barcodes, RFID tags can be read automatically by electronic readers. Imagine a truck carrying a container full of widgets entering a shipping terminal in China. If the container is

Since this exercise is also e ective for recruiting the transverse abdominis (explained next), if you have to choose one exercise, choose this one. If a BOSU ball is not available, use a small Swiss ball (4555 centimeters in diameter) or a pile of firm cushions. Using a BOSU or Swiss ball, ensure your ass is close to the oor, usually no more than 6 o the ground. Then follow these steps: 1. Start with arms stretched overhead as high as possible (I overlap my extended hands as if in a diving position). Keep your arms behind or next to your ears for the entire exercise. 2.
