We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children

We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children Our planet has resources which are necessary for people's everyday life. As the population is growing the resources are decreasing. One of the things that affects the life on the earth is overconsumption. We consume more than what the earth can regenerate. This is a big problem because our exhaustible resources are running out. This is a problem that has huge consequences. It means that in the future people may not have enough resources, beacuse right now we are using too much. Secondly, there is a huge amout of waste and pollution. Clean air is our most valuable resource, but it is getting more and more polluted, in the same way as the water. For example,

The Mayor Environmental Problems in Estonia

The Major Environmental Problems in Estonia I would like to talk about the major environmental problems in Estonia. There are many of them but I would like to point out the most important of them: air pollution, huge amounts of waste because of overconsumption and abuse of the natural resources. To begin with, air pollution is a big problem in big cities and in industrial areas. Air pollution is often caused by the exhaust fumes of the cars or by big factories. It affects nature and peoples health causing them breathing problems. Secondly, huge amounts of waste are being produced every day and it is all because of overconsumption. Although, in recent years peoples knowledge about recycling and using

The Major Environmental Problems In Estonia

To begin with, Estonia is a little country with small towns. In spite of that there is pollution. Most of the people here have their own cars and they prefer driving five hundred meters by car than walking by foot. In addition to that pollution is also caused by industries which are often located in towns near peoples' homes. As Estonia belongs to developed countries, people have enough power purchased and they mindlessly buy things they do not even need. According to that there is overconsumption which also causes huge waste dumps. Lastly there is abuse of the natural resources in Estonia. While wasting paper, people do not think that it is made of both wood and water which should be saved. Therefore there is over-intensive logging and the area of woods is decreasing. To sum up there are no such environmental problems in Estonia such as widespread hunger and poverty whilst there are some smaller problems in comparison with the Third World countries.

more polluted. For example the air in China is so polluted that people need to wear masks. The pollution of water kills hundreds of thousands of water animals and birds. Some of the big companies have accepted the problem and are taking action. For example McDonald`s and Burger King are not using plastic straws anymore. Second thing that affects the life on Earth is overpopulation. The estimated population in 2050 is near 10 billion. Population growth also raises overconsumption. People are encouraged to consume by companies and their commercials. The problem is that humans are consuming more than the Earth can regenerate. The exhaustible resources are running out. And with the population growing, it will become an even bigger probleem. This means people in the future may not have enough resources, because right now humans are using too much. Another huge problem is global warming. The effects of global warming can already be seen today

Environmental issues in Estonia

Tallinn wants to fight against it by offering public transportation for free, to Tallinn citizen. So that people would use more public transportation than their own car. Furthermore, it will change our climate. In addition our air is polluted by hydrogen sulfide from plants and factors (Especially in Kohtla- Järve and Maardu). Other big environment problem is garbage. Huge amount of waste is produced every day and it is all because of overconsumption. Although, in recent years peoples knowledge about recycling and using eco-friendly products have improved, there are more landfills in Estonia than ever before. The government should take some actions and instead of talking about recession, they should improve recycling programs or take into use some new ways. Environment problem in Estonia is also water pollution. Big factories let their waste run into the rivers without cleaning it and farmers use man-made fertilizers
