As with the issue of animal treatment, these trends in arable agriculture have provoked public concern. Combined, these concerns have helped encourage the rapid growth of vegetarianism in Britain since the early 1980s and the expansion of organic farming, although this is still on a very small scale. However, partly in reaction to these concerns, and partly because of costs, the trend is now towards lower chemical use in farming. Agricultural policy includes schemes to encourage farmers to take land out of agricultural production to adopt more environmentally kind, but less productive methods of farming to

[7] Religion Bob Marley was a member of the Rastafari movement, whose culture was a key element in the development of reggae. Bob Marley became the leading proponent of the Rastafari, taking their music out of the socially deprived areas of Jamaica and onto the international music scene. Now considered a "Rasta" legend, Marley's adoption of the characteristic Rastafari dreadlocks, famous use of cannabis as a sacred sacrament, and vegetarianism [8], which in the late sixties were an integral part of his persona. He is said to have entered every performance proclaiming the divinity of Jah Rastafari. On November 4, 1980 Marley was baptized by the Archbishop of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church in Kingston, Jamaica. Here is what Archbishop Abuna Yesehaq had to say on Marley: "Bob was really a good brother, a child of God, regardless of how people looked at him. He
