Comparison of P. B. Shelley's and W. Wordsworth's "To a Skylark" Poems The Skylark is a bird whose singing is very melodical. It is an inspiration to many poets, two of them being P. B. Shelley and W. Wordsworth. The Skylark is a common nature metaphor for pure poetic expression. Shelly Shelley's poem is all about praising the birds singing and how the lark can create such beautiful songs unintentionally. For the bird, singing is effortless and comes out naturally. Still the creation is harmonic and spreads joy. The poem starts with Shelly calling the bird a "blithe spirit" and expressing his admiration of how the song comes from the bird's heart without any effort. "Bird thou never wert-/ That from heaven or near it" gives the mental image that Shelly doesn't actually see the bird but only hears it. Thus the bird doesn't exist for him as a real thing but rather as something
questions and recording the respondent’s answer. Interviewers implement the contact procedure, persuade the respondents to participate, clarify the respondent’s role during the interview and collect information about the respondent.” However, when an interviewer is present, the interviewer can be a source of error too. Interviewers may misinterpret a question, may make errors in administering a questionnaire, or in registering the answers. When posing the question, interviewers may unintentionally change its meaning. By giving additional information or explaining a misunderstood word, they may inappropriately influence a respondent. Even the way interviewers look and dress may influence a respondent in a face-to-face interview. Selecting and training interviewers carefully helps reducing interviewer related errors. For more details, see Chapter 23 on interviewer training by Lessler, Eyerman, and Wang. Interviewers can make genuine mistakes, but they also may intentionally cheat
Brian Howe and Katherine Covell state are `educated for the roles and responsibilities that they will assume as future citizens and as adult members of their society`. 77 Audrey Osler and Hugh Starkey note that in this respect the education for citizenship largely fails to acknowledge the existing citizenship rights of children and therefore places them as `threatening yet politically apathetic`.78 They argue that citizenship education programmes which are built upon such `assumptions may, unintentionally, serve to alienate and exclude`. 79 Howe and Covell`s argument trenchantly support Strakey and Olser`s claim where they argue that this concept to citizenship that regards children as citizens-in-making fails to `recognise 74 Audrey Osler a & Hugh Starkey,` Education for democratic citizenship: a review of research, policy and practice 1995–2005` Research Papers in Education, 21:4 (2006) 433-466,(p.445). 75 Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills, `Personal and

I sat without moving, more frightened of him than I had ever been. I'd never seen him so completely freed of that carefully cultivated facade. He'd never been less human... or more beautiful. Face ashen, eyes wide, I sat like a bird locked in the eyes of a snake. His lovely eyes seem to glow with rash excitement. Then, as the seconds passed, they dimmed. His expression slowly folded into a mask of ancient sadness. "Don't be afraid," he murmured, his velvet voice unintentionally seductive. "I promise..." He hesitated. "I swear not to hurt you." He seemed more concerned with convincing himself than me. "Don't be afraid," he whispered again as he stepped closer, with exaggerated slowness. He sat sinuously, with deliberately unhurried movements, till our faces were on the same level, just a foot apart. "Please forgive me," he said formally. "I can control myself. You caught me off guard. But I'm on my best behavior now." He waited, but I still couldn't speak.
captive by the images on the screen. The content of the program, if there is a certain quality to it, can to some extent counteract and sometimes even undo the hypnotic, mind- numbing effect of the medium of TV. There are some programs that have been extremely helpful to many people; have changed their lives for the better, opened their heart, made them more conscious. Even some comedy shows, although they may be about nothing in particular, can be unintentionally spiritual by showing a caricature version of human folly and the ego. They teach us not to take anything too seriously, to approach life in a lighthearted way, and above all, they teach by making us laugh. Laughter is extraordinarily liberating as well as healing. Most of television, however, is as yet controlled by people who are totally controlled by the ego, and so the TV's hidden agenda becomes control of you by putting you to sleep, that is to say, making you unconscious

the fastest time to sleep. Warmer temperatures never worked, but as low as 65°F would work equally well if I wore socks to keep my feet warm. If you can't control the ambient temperature, testing socks of di erent thicknesses is the easiest variable to change for tweaking heat loss. Ideal temperature is highly individual, and each person will have a narrow range, so experiment to find your own. EAT A LARGE FAT- AND PROTEIN-DOMINATED MEAL WITHIN THREE HOURS OF BEDTIME. I discovered this unintentionally while tracking testosterone changes. Consumed within three hours of getting under the sheets, meals of at least 800 milligrams of cholesterol (four or more large whole eggs) and 40 grams of protein produced dramatically faster time-to-sleep scores than meals of lower volume or lower protein and fat. Eating two rib-eye steaks, each about three-quarters of a pound, had the strongest tranquilizer-like effect. USE LIGHT CUES THE PHILIPS GOLITE.
